Let’s see
Kisada lotting gaiters for his rdm mule:
This was in the timeframe before tiamat was alliance-camped by worthless linkshells who sleepnuke it and we had been getting a pairs of gaiters quite frequently. The only people to bid were a newer member (who will not be named) with around 25 points and kisada (pending who bid). We allow members to go into negative points to obtain gear if they are the highest bidder AND if they have at least 50% of the points (later changed to 75%) and so kisada won the bid. Anytime kisada has EVER been interested in bidding a piece of gear possibly better used by another player he has made it clear he wouldn’t bid over the obvious people who need the gear. A few examples are M.body, N.legs, Homam items, etc. So let’s say Nidhogg dropped M.body, and the only PLD who bid had 60 points and the minimum was 100 at the time, it would be pretty easy for kisada to take it under our rules because you need the minimum point cost to fall into the priority of PLD > all, but he never did. Pretty greedy of him in my honest opinion.
Speaking of Homam items, let’s discuss limbus a bit. When limbus was released, barely anyone was doing it frequently and barely anyone could regularly kill ultima. Yes, some things in this game were challenging when they came out, who would have thought things in FFXI at one point required skill. When Kaizen began doing limbus as a linkshell, just like any other linkshell event, it was done for the betterment of the linkshell, and so the job that made the most use out of Homam Legs, Hands and Feet at the time was by far PLD. Nobody gives a fuck if a THF hits Nidhogg for 1 dmg 9% faster, but it allowed for better tanking and more efficient killing.
We made priorities and rule systems for the betterment of the linkshell which allowed us to have the ridiculously large gap between us and other end-game shells. If the rules were created to solely benefit leaders, I guess it was also basically the leader’s amazing gear we USED the linkshell to get that allowed Kaizen to kill everything far more efficiently/better than the rest of the server. No, idiot. It was because gear went to the correct people/jobs and we excelled at every aspect from damage to tanking to support.
Eventually this game became ridiculously easy (see: dezvoltare, pinkpikachu), things became repetitive and other gear was being introduced to compete with/replace already implemented gear. When the rules of our overall lotting system changed to flat point cost it was also applied to the limbus bidding system for the same reason: it prevented people from singlehandedly changing the cost someone else will pay. When we realized the limbus gear wasn’t as necessary and kaizen members wanted the “pay what you bid” system back so much, we decided we could try it again and also get rid of priorities on limbus and see how it worked since the limbus system wasn’t as complex as the overall HNM point system we had in place.
Dynamis: Friday dynamis could give a fuck about your relic/sponsoring, I HAD to lead it because had we left you in a major role the runs would have gone to complete shit, and 99% of the people were there for reasons other than your relic and we just couldn’t let someone like phraust fuck up runs for everyone else. You single-handedly ruined runs with your terrible pulling tactics, and it forced me to either pull myself or teach someone who was capable of doing it. Anyone who regularly attended dynamis on Fridays while you were sponsoring can attest to how efficient the runs were when I or Kisada led them.
This post isn’t for the qcdn retards that have been jealous of kaizen since they have been playing FFXI and considers January 22 the new Christmas as seen by your pointless posts. This is for those who currently or in the past interact with Kaizen in one way or another and might have been slightly disappointed to read the storybook phraust wrote.
