hmmm, wtf? this is the sickest video ever

Um.... what the hell? This video has nothing to do with asian nations? As for the disgustingness, that's just how life is, and how it has been since man has existed. Man uses animals for clothing, food, tools, medicine and whatever else. I personally have skinned an animal with my own hands and the video just shows how it is done (other then the animals in the video being alive) which to me doesn't seem very realistic that people who did that for a living wouldn't kill the animals first. As you can see in the video it isn't very efficient for the the people who keep having to wrestle with the live animals so I would tend to believe it was somewhat staged for the video. Those people don't make very much and if some film maker offered them $1 to do one animal while it was still alive I'm sure they would be more than happy to oblige. As the for the cages I mean get real. That happens everywhere. Hell we put our dog in a cage sometimes when we are leaving it alone for a long while.

Scary, it is americans that have your attitude that make us a target for terrorism. you don't have the intelligence or reasoning of a potato.

1. Seeing someone of a certain ethnic background do something like that dosen't mean that all people of the same ethnic background participate in such attrocities.

2. You may hate history, but you sure can drudge up the past when it may assist you in proving a point. (which it dosen't in this case, but you brought it up anyway)

3. You not giving a shit about history is the same as saying "I don't care to try and learn from mistakes that have already been made."

4. American soldiers have killed many innocent people, not only in the Vietnam war, but every other war as well. That is not to say that every soldier killed innocent people, some people have morals and actually obey rules of the Geneva Convention, not that I expect you to know what that is.

the idea wether this is right or wrong will differ from person to person. me, personally, i think its fine if your living off the land and plan on using every single bit of that animal that you hunt just as the native indians did. skinning an animal while its still alive and probably leaving the rest to die and rot is not right IMO.
the slamming the racoon on the ground is one way to put the animal out of its misery and those type of things are done with dear hunters on somewhat of a different scale(slciing the throat) but in no way do i see it right to skin them while they are alive

at the beginning of that sentence, I did say "I am guessing".
However, I don't see how I am generalizing him in with us. As far as forum trolls go, I generally only respond to them because I like to argue so much, but I never hold any value in their words. I really don't mind affording them small amounts of my time though. I mean, I'm at work right now, bored to tears, and willing to converse with anyone that has somethin to say, wether it be a board troll such as scary, or someone whose opinion I actually value, such as you, Rones.

First off, there is not a person on the planet that is not affected by some form of propaganda. Internet, newspaper, Cnn, MSNBC, etc. etc. all fill peoples heads with a skewed, sensationalist point of view.

As to the video. I didn't watch it, but knowing PETA I have a pretty good idea of what it is. PETA is an overhyped, sensationalist, idealist, crap oraganization. Imagaine the quandry they would have if someone reminded them that we are technically animals too.

I myself used to work on a veil farm. Those things are crammed into a box, shoulder to shoulder, so they can not move, because movement promotes muscle growth, and muscle make for tougher meat. The box is also kept in total darkness, because sunlight also leads to tougher meat. They live this way, until the day we pull them out and cut their through and process them. I was a vegearian for 10 years (for different reasons). My personal thoughts are, if we didn't need cows for meat and leather, they would probably be extinct. :wink:
 
I gotta admit that Video is gross, and those people are cruel. But the comments made by scary on that whole first page of posts I found to be far worse. You know scary its people like you that the world can live with out. I cant even believe you said half the things you did.

In retrospect we killed about a million Vietnimiese, they killed 50 thousand Americans, from a body count standpoint we kicked their asses, from an ethical morale one... We where supporting a cruel dictator and Ho Chi min wanted to be our friend before the war, he offered many many things including naval bases and the like for support. He WANTED to be our friend, George WAshington was his god damn hero. Thank you blind fear...

After comments like this, the only thing that pisses me off about the video is that they weren't doing it to you.
 
That video was terrible, I agree. I'se seen a different one before (not from PETA) on a Swedish show called Insider where they become friends with "evil" organizations to reveal what really happends inside. But in that one they cut out a lot of scenes since they themselves almost puked over it, and they didn't want to show the full scene in national television.

This one... I regreat seeing it.

But still, there is no need to say such things, Scary. Just because a few people do that doesn't mean a whole nation do it.
 
on another note, your comments towards Scary, such as "The only thing that disgusted me about the video is that is didn't happen to you instead" truely are scary. No living being should have to go through that, and comments like that are equally disgusting as the way they skin the animals in that video.
