How long did it take you to hit 75?

Well, I've been playing since the release, but I was only about level 30ish BLM after the first three months while most of my original friends that had still been playing were in their 40+s. I stopped for a while, decided to farm for all the best stuff (Morians ext) and for some spare cash for future endevours. Maybe around February of 04 I start leveling again, this time I pretty much breeze. I manage to catch up with all the high level NA around level 50 when the first wave attempts to go through Genkai. Around level 45-50ish I started to static with a RDM named Dar and a WHM named Cyrus. Around level 50 I started to static also with a PLD named Varick and DRK named Marick. The static continued to 55 until Dar eventually dropped and we picked up Metix a little. Then eventually it all got swapped around. At some point it was me, Marick, Varick, Anaeran, Pye and Cyrus. Marick took a little break from FF, Varick seemed to lose interest in PLD for a little and Pye kinda disappeared. So I continued onward by myself.
On Tuesday March 18th according to a screenshot my BLM was lvl 60.
I bounced til 75 mostly pickup, managing to get a mix of Japanese invites and the occasional NA. Around maybe lvl 64-68ish I PTed pretty constantly with JSoft the THF, then I think he formed a partial static with Villarel and Boyhanna the Samurai. Me and the WHM Pud then seemed to level together pretty constantly, and we managed to ace Maat and continue to the goal while most of the other NA got stuck there( or a member of their static got stuck). 70-75 was interesting. It was a race between me and Aurorine to be the first to BLM not counting those freaks who somehow managed to do it in like 2 months. Aurorine managed to beat me, though I was lvl 74 at the time, and in the PT with her. (grrrr)
I'll also mention level 72 or 73 is when I met a Japanese BRD named Merodia and we hit it off. We hit level 75 together in the same PT and we were like 2000 exp apart when we did it. Now we're always together. <3 Mero.
As for the actual time that I did it... not positive. All i know is my PLD took a lot less time and I had a lot more money to make it easier.
 
im another that could be 75v or almost there by now. i've been playing since last may. but i was never really an EXP whore (so my friends and i call it). in fact im 61 on my rdm and the only reason im not lvling it is to wait on a static party. but im having fun still doin gother things :).

speaking of which i need to lvl my smithing some more.
 
If I had stuck to one character and one job, I would easily be 75 by now. I got the game in May, and I am now on my third character, and have numerous jobs leveled to 40ish, with my highest being Dragoon which now sits at 1K til 57. My first character was a Galka on the Unicorn server (I think that's what it was called) Got that to 12 Paladin/Warrior and decided I hated that server and I hated Galka, and I knew a few people on Quet. My second character was a Taru RDM/BLM which I got to level 22 and decided I hated being a mage lol. My 3rd and current character is an Elvaan Dragoon/Warrior which is at 56 and I love. I've leveled Warrior, Monk, Sam, and Ninja to 30, and now I'm on Dragoon and plan on taking it all the way. This character I started back in August, so 57 levels in ... 6 months I'd say is decent. But I heard 63-75 is the same amount of exp as 1-63. I sure hope not lol
 
I coulda been lvl 75 last June or so if I really wanted to... but I took lots of breaks from the game.. hehe.. the only jobs I have over 20 are WHM (42) and RDM (72). I really don't like playing this game all that much. >< it gets to me
 
i've been playing since NA PC release and i realize, as do many many people i could probably be 75 had i cared enough, i have better things to do with my time, help others, help more, ask others who outlevel me to help ME out. go to the dunes and raise. help out.
 
I played whm with Sparky in Valkurm when he was just starting brd around level 11... I still haven't hit 75.

I think whm, along with smn, is one of the very few jobs that people will take anywhere regardless of level (though smn needs to be 70, and people do appreciate r3 with 70whm). Tanks and DD pretty much always need to be 75. Rdm and blm need to be 75 so their spells don't get resisted. If this weren't the case, I'd probably have been 75 long ago... but, alas, I'm not. :)
 
i started NA release.... but i have done over 200 quests, have sky access, done CoP up to diabolos fight, rank10, and have all the jobs below....

got 75 on RDM about a month ago now...... done probably too much in the game
 
Took me 1year. Reason was well I was leveling back and forth from different jobs. It went somehow like this.

15war>30Whm>15blm>27pld>65rdm>(forgot when I leveled my sub)>60mnk>70rdm>68mnk>72rdm>74mnk>75blm>60rng>75rdm>75mnk

As you can see, I went from rdm~mnk~blm cycle. It was to keep me motivated to continue playing rdm really. Rng was raised to 60 due to the sole fact of able to use in promivon missions. Since rng is almost a must in nearly all the encounters I wanted to have it ready.

Having leveled this far, I almost know every single exping spot in the game except the new zones. But at the same time, when my mnk hitted 75 the urge of leveling faded away. I simply grinded too much and overburn hitted me. Now my only motivation to play are what other MMORPG cannot offer, missions and quests "Progression type advancement" with storyline.
 
as a note, i partied with moraine as a rng low 20's, and if anyone at all remembers icyblue i partied with her ninja in the dunes. i partied with iggman's (pre deletion) drk in the dunes. i played with reficul and i remember being the 3rd person on GamerHQ shell because i made ninjai laugh, anyone around long enough to remember ninjai and reficul?
 
I started on the NA pc lauch day... and lemme see.. uh.. nope, not 75 yet. *cry*

Sure.. I probably could be.. but id have been a barebones suck ass Drk just like a vast majority of the Dark Knight's out there. Im sticking with it like always, doing my thing and doing it well. Giving a good rep to Dark Knights everwhere, or so I hope. ^^

And ive played other jobs too..

1-23 : BST (Leveling WHM on the side as needed, currently 11!)

umm let's see

1-50 war >>> 4 month

1-72 brd >>> under 2 month

72-74 brd >>> 4-5 month (exp isn't from lvling but from doing missions, quests, gods etc where exp is slowly gained)

50-59 war >>> 2 weeks

Currently not lvling either of the jobs, need some money for hauby and seriously hate playing brd
 
and you aren't allowed to level with anyone on bard except me >.> or I beat the hell outta ya.. /nod yup yup
