Alright then.
Keryan, first of all, I offer my apologies as to how your situation was handled.
I was not there at the time but I have conducted my own investigation into the matter. I know you and I have not spoken about it, but quite frankly, I didn't think it was necessary since I found your post in the sky section.
I found it to be very angry and before it exploded into a full fledged flame, I had it moved so I guess it appeared that it was deleted.
For that I will not apologize, since I thought it was for the best at the time.
I had wanted to get the big picture of what had happened before any response was made.
The incident started with Keryan demanding in the ls to know who had called her "whitey."
Some confusion went on, some people actually thought it was a joke. She had made her first ultimatum saying she was going to drop her pearl in 5 seconds if no one fessed up. She actually started to do the count down.
From there, there was the whole confusion of whose mule it was. No answer came up it seems.
This soon after ensued an argument between Poring and Keryan, which both were told to calm down or there was going to be some pearl breaking involved.
Now I know you guys may not agree with how we run the shell, but if it originated outside of the shell, the stance is that it is not in the sky leadership's jurisdiction but rather the GMs.
After all thats one of the reasons as to why they are there, is it not?
You can argue that he should be kicked as well but in the end, it was a he-said-she-said.
We couldn't determine what or how it was started much less the context it was used initially. Keryan never mentioned it.
I understand that it became an issue within the ls because Keryan brought it in.
Keryan, you know well enough that if you had a problem all you had to do was send a /tell to a leader. After all, you were there for 2 years, and I do appreciate your long stay in it but you knew the rules.
Why didn't you do just that?
You did not have to make an explosion in the ls and delay the run primarily for about half an hour. Due to that, some other members actually asked it to be taken to /tells or settled later.
Now this is where it gets rather interesting.
From what I understand, Keryan had been speaking to one of the leaders during the run while it went on as planned. Somewhere in the conversation, the leader realized he worded something wrong and then added a clarification to it.
This is where she jumped the gun again.
Few seconds later, Keryan decided to say her goodbyes in the ls, saying how she was kicked already and what not.
She had made another ultimatum saying by Wednesday she will decide whether to stay in the ls or not.
Again, this delays the run and all the while, causing commotion in the ls again.
So this makes it twice that she acted out.
By this time, other members just about had it with the situation. This took another 30min to try to get the shell in order again. If you do the math, thats just about an hour of wasted time that could have been used efficiently.
Yes, one member did say to Keryan to drop it for now and that maybe the leaders will contact her about it on Monday.
Unfortunately, due to the confusion, that was lost in the logs without leadership's consent and it seems the leaders missed it. I was able to obtain some log of it later.
I can understand why the member would try to appease Keryan and get on with the run.
He was there to do sky, not participate in a drama fest.
Keryan do you remember who actually said someone will get back to you by Monday?
If you do not, then you have accused the leadership of something they did not say.
I did find out as to who did, but would you tell me?
It was decided in the leadership meeting held after the run that Keryan would be kicked due to the drama that she caused twice in the ls. Poring was an iffy one since, ultimately, this was a he-said-she-said argument. I am not a GM, I cannot pull up their logs. Neither are any of the other leaders as far as I know.
We couldn't kick someone based off of something that we cannot prove or have proof of.
After the both of them were warned, he was actually quiet during the run which resulted in the agreement that he would get a warning. If he messes up again, he would be kicked.
Emotions ran wild that night for both sides, and for that I will also offer my apologies.
However, I do not appreciate the smearing of the shell.
To those that actually think that there is some shady business going around, well, I do not have anything to say to that in actuality. We panicked, plain and simple. We are all human, one cannot expect the leaders to be perfect.
We made some bad judgement calls in the past, but we try to work together to get past that.
To those that are friends to Keryan, I respect your opinions.
However, if you were not there, you have no piece in the matter. You can say how Keryan is a great player, and all the fan fare you'd like but what you say does not change anything. I do agree she is a good player, and she did stick around for 2 years with us. For that, she does have my gratitude.
You can slander the leaders all you want but that does not change the fact that people who were not in the social didn't volunteer themselves for that position when one of the past leaders decided to step down.
Keryan you may not have been a leader and I'm sure you were asked to become one by some of your peers.
I understand your family came first, I respect that entirely. However, I also know that you didn't step up. You did speak up against leadership on some things we did. We have addressed those issues, and even though we may not have seen eye to eye, I do know that you did speak up for things you felt that were not right.
I wish you good luck on your future endeavors.
I'm sorry things did not work out as well as you may have hoped. Take care.
