Can we make it a new policy that whenever a thread gets locked the person who locks it needs to post in the thread that was locked so that i know who to send the hate PMs to...

This is fucking rediculous prince had something that needed to be posted and could not be posted anywhere with the current rules but it was locked.

With all due respect, it's just as easy to type up your response, post then lock. This was an extremely read and replied to topic, and it was locked a good 15 minutes before an explanation was given.

The reason I think it's locked first is so no one else posts anything in between the time they post their response. I know it should only take a second to post one, but eh, maybe they have to do something else first and locked the thread so it doesn't get too bad in between whatever they are doing.

Sorry, I overestimated. Doesn't change the fact that this can be done with 0 delay.

In this case, nothing was being said that wasn't deserved. I'm still of the opinion it should be open as a place for us to post what we really feel about what was said in rl discussion.

You're missing the point. There doesn't need to be a delay. From my forums:

You can close as you write a reply. Rather than closing for any delay prior to why. It's a suggestion.

I wanted it closed so I could finish reading the last couple pages before I posted a reply though.

And that's why this thread is here. From the reader's perspective, it's very annoying to see that in a thread we're spamming refresh to see the next posts in.

Edit: Again though, unlock it so people with certain views can post their concerns.
