if you were a designer for SE....

Lv does matter as if a mob was only 5 lvs above are lv cap. Then would pick a nin to tank then a pld as they could dodge better with merits in evs skill, and +19 evs skill in gear. a 15 lv difference is much bigger
And again you completely miss the point. The numbers that I gave (80/40) are irrelevant, he wouldn't talk about pld/nin being useful on a low-level mob in a discussion about high level mobs. Just forget the fact that I said numbers since you don't understand what I'm saying anyways, and I'll explain it again.

Eulore would not say that pld/nin is good against low-level NM's in response to you saying they're not good against HNM's. He was talking about HNM's, everyone else but you got that.

We have a winnar.

Basically anything that hits for more than 200-250 and the fight lasts longer than 20 minutes pld/nin is more beneficial than pld/war by far. I can blink tank jorm better than my ls's nins (gogo enmity stacking and +15% haste + haste spell + marches)

I pld/nined bahamut v1 for the hell of it. Got hit physically like... once or twice the entire fight, lost hate once to mistra on nin/drk.

Basically anytime a nin would sub drk, a pld would sub nin. There's a few exceptions but those aren't much to speak about.

"Beast Mimicry"- PC gains added effects as a result of charmed pet ie with a beetle pet their would be an increase in evasion offense but would also bring about negative effects ie worms when Beast Mimicry is used you become stationary(yes a dumb idea here but it's an example).

Lv 50 The Ja form duration: varies with Chr (effects are somewhat visible and match the charmed pet) recast: every 10 or 5 mins

The effects do not go away as soon as the pet dies or is released, also when in combonation with sic if the mob uses a buff ws then the bst preforms the buff ws also if the mob that used sic uses magic the bst would use magic (ie homonculus) if the mob used a attack ws then the bst would preform the same Provided for the magic and attack that the bst is within range

Meriting would increase the positive effects and decrease the negative

This could either work as a ja for or bst

Mortal Ascension- duration:varies with pet recast every 20 mins The bst is able to charm a sentient mob excluding hnms (of course this is a dream idea but possibly not neccesary) this ja would be meritable and each merit would increase duration

And...yes the name is LoLNaruto inspired=/

Paladin hauls off and kicks the mob in the go-betweens. 2x Voke hate pull, +20 enmity for 30 seconds. 100% Proc stun.

Yeah, I'm kidding, but it'd be pretty hilarious to see, neh?

Paladin readies Junk Shot.
Paladin kicks Genbu in the nuts.
Genbu's casting is interrupted.

I would make it to where the player is not limited as to what he or she can merit regardless of the job that is at 75, pretty sure that would make alot of people happy.

Not really sure if this idea would break the game but would sure as hell be a nice reward for reaching 75.

I would make NMs pop every 30 minutes >.> and make the drops 100%.
And make ballista everywhere but you can't just attack people, you'd have to ask them if they want to fight. Make dragoon able to wear hauby. I would give back Utsumei: ni 5 shadow and make the ws combos gain each hit tp. 5 hit combo= 50% tp back if all hits hit.

have system messages for reraise effects and such like they do for sneak and invis

a ja for pups that allows you to control the way the enemy faces and a ja for pups that will help tanks

more to come obviously and in depth

I want some god damned versatility, or just use from PUP. And I hate how people throw that word around when they try to defend the job. Versitility is PUP's strong suit? It's not. In a party situation, it can offer mediocre magic, or mediocre physical attack. It's hardly an esteemed solo'r, and as I've stated, it doesn't offer anything to a party or endgame group of any kind that another job can't do better. This upsets the hell out of me.

See, I love the air of the job, but SE hasn't done much for it. They just keep throwing a handful of attachments at it every update. If that's any indication as to the direction in which they're taking the job, then it wasn't meant to be anything more than an uninspired DD. And come on, we have enough of those, right? Uninspired certainly isn't the way they sold the job, or at least, the way I see it. I love the concept of the intimate relatoinship between master and puppet. It's something you even feel a bit leveling the job. There's just something about getting a Cure III/IV just before you bite the bullet, having the puppet interrupt an enemy JA, or Flash for your Utsu.

I wish we had slightly more control over the thing, for one. Maybe a JA that instigated either a WS or spell. This JA would then be further directed by the attachments you have equipped and maneuvers you have up. For instance, you would use Very Creatively Named Magic JA with a Fire Maneuver up, and your puppet would cast it's highest Fire attack spell. Mixing the elements accordingly could give you Enfeebles. Likewise Creative Physical JA and a Fire Maneuver would give you Cannibal Blade on command. If this seems too complicated, I wish they would just fine tune the attachments to curve the puppet's behavior more to our liking and necessity. The Scanner could be more effective, for instance. I wish it wouldn't just use the next spell on the list if the mob has a high resistance. I would like to see it cast TO the mob's specific weakness. I can't complain about how they handle WS'. Either they have to improve our control over the puppet, so we can better micromanage and accomodate to different situations and be more efficient, give PUP some other creative uses, or just buff the puppet and the master, stat/gear-wise (the very probable cop out). Personally, I'd like to see PUP be able to do something different. Playing it for a few levels, it feels like a completely new job.. just the output is nothing we haven't seen.

This is an idea thrown around PUP communities, but what if PUP were capable of short bursts of tanking? A JA that pulled hate at Benediction levels (say, recast 1:30). These and more defensive attachment abilities. The Schurzen supports this idea, as it negates a full enemy attack at the cost of an Earth Maneuver. Thing is it will only eat that attack if that attack is gonna kill the puppet. I don't like the insinuation that my puppet isn't going to survive this ordeal. That use for PUP is just speculation, but the potential is there in the attachments. More so if we get a new JA. And it fits perfectly with the Valoredge frame. I'd like to see creative, extended functions of each frame. PUP is in limbo right now.

Eh, I skim what I've wrote, and it dawns on me that I talk too much. Basically, SE, PUP. Make something happen.

Pup imho needs a strong modifier for their puppet chr i think would be a good one

ja Puppeteer lv 15 recast 2mins duration varies with CHR(chr modifies the extra damage on slapstick and other wses ie regular base damage then added damage based on chr)

effect: the mob faces the pup (works similar to provoke) and the puppet does a ws that does more damage than a regular ws this can help with main tanks getting shadows up and also putting hate on the puppet for the tank to grab after provoking

ja Puppetstrings lv 25 Puppetstrings recast 1min (acc can be improved with chr)

the pup makes the enemy face the same direction as the pup is facing would help sams and thfs out a lot as well as endgame /thf dd as well on mobs that are hard to sata

a last ja for pups

ja Symbolic Stance duration: as long as the puppet is alive wears off after it is killed, recast every 10mins

effect: the puppet receives the same effect of food effect as the pup eats the food must be eaten before using SS

Well, I don't think a CHR modifier is necessary. The WS' already have their own ways of being triggered and boosted; maneuvers and the Flame Holder. And who uses Slapstick? :P

The provoke idea is something like what I meant when I was talking about the defensive maneuvers and being able to tank in bursts. I don't think the abililty needs to be a WS, and dependent on TP, though, just a large hate generating ability. Like Provoke with a defense boost. I wish the Schurzen would work the way it did, but eat Earth Maneuvers/attacks at any time, not just when the hit will kill the puppet.

Affecting the mob/target's attention is an interesting idea, I think. It fits with the showmanship of PUP, but it's kind of something THF can already do, and unless they add some survivability to the puppet, THF can do it safer and with probably more damage.

And the last one.. What if you're using the mage frame?

Want to help out a PUP's damage? why not improve dot of the puppet and its ws witha modifier? They need the help with dd somehow, could give them passive attack bonuses...but meh

I know very little on pup but I do know that what it does is in accordance to the elemental properties of the attachments I'll look into that

I'm not sure how strong the puppet is from reading you say it is very weak they would have to make it stronger for it to be more effective it seems.

The Symbolic Stance yeah I didnt think about the mage frame=/ so my answer I dont know

I already proposed that pup should have a ja that allows them to afflict the target with the effect of gravity(a much stronger one than the spell being that the -acc is greater)

Pup to me is about manipulation it should be a job that has many job abilities and traits that can be set in a sense like blu like attaching fire attachments would give attack bonus and + critical hit rate or something along the nature so the puppetmaster correlates with the puppet rather than buffing up your puppet with costly parts and making the pup itself weak since it has no way to truly work with its machine

Pup to me= the job of job abilities, the master of job abilities, manipulator, etc.

I wish I worked for SE >_> I want to be a game designer so bad

Get rid of the ToAU expansion altogether (minus the extra mog space perhaps) and add more content to CoP. New mobs. HNM/large scale encounter mobs. Complete revamp of the loot tables for lower tier jailers in sea.

More distinction between high-end game and those who are just getting into it too. Shouldn't see new end game shells suddenly showing up to camps that top shells have been camping for 2+ years...give your vets harder/more worthwhile shit to kill. Progression is a good thing.

Biggest things I could think of atm...been awhile since I've played though XD
