I'm punctual rl and in-game. Fucking slackers like you waste my time. Events don't start at "1-ish", they start at 1, so just be there. If you have shit to do, logout there then you'll be there asap when you login. It isn't hard to not be the jackass who makes a group start late.

My Friday night was really long to the point that I did not climb into bed until 5am and had to wake up about 4 hours later to get up for the event. I was still hungover as shit when I woke up but I managed to be on time. Now I am not saying that it's my fault I should not have been partying the night before but RL>FF and STILL I was able to drag my ass out of bed and be punctual for the event. I made mention of people not being on time but so fucking what?!

personally i am one of those impatient motherfuckers that you are refering to and i am damn proud to be one... personally that is the reason that i am not an LS leader is that i dont have the patience.. the way i look at it is that if the LS message says were popping at 8 you pop the mob at 8, not 801.

If i were a leader and i wanted to pop genbu for example if i had it scheduled for 8 i would pop it at 8 or cancel. you set that expectation a few times and ... ding ding ding, people show up on time or you get better players.

The situation is a result of lazy fuckers who know that events are not going to start on time.

BTW i am the one bitching most of the time because i have shit to do outside of the game almost always and i have just straight up left events when they go more than 30 min late for no real valid reason

Cancel at 1 minute after? lol. Go play WoW. This game takes time, you don't have time, go play something else. Though, the 4 hours is rediculous....

Im not involved in this situation thats why i have tried to make it more about being late to events in general rather than this specific event. The only reason i went into detail about your event specifically was because you asked.

I am just hopeing that people will grow up and come to things when they say that they will because it sucks on a weekly basis waiting 1 hrs for gods 3 times a week 1 hr twice a week for limbus and dynamis. Thats 7 hrs per week that i am standing there doing nothing because inconsiderate fucktards dont understand what a watch is for.

I went through this when I first tried to organize a COP static. Even put 2 seperate parties together, because some of my friends got left behind when they were unable to show for a certain week. Went back to get a whm 2-3 and 2-5 done, so we would have a whm for the static, only to have the whm stop showing. Get 12 people up to speed on missions, only to have 5-6 show... with no contact from the others on why they couldn't...

Luckily Bookitty (someone from original static that would ALWAYS be on time) and I found a good group to finish COP. No matter how hard you work, you will always find people who just don't care, which is what make ls's better for reoccurring events. At least there you can build up a reliable base of players (hopefully) whereas recruiting per event rarely ends up well. My suggestion for DM runs or any other event that you plan to do more often then just once, make an ls for the people getting paid, and set up a set day(s) and time(s) to do runs. Then, you can judge who will be trustworthy, either with being present, or giving good advance notice of absence.
