Job Adjustments and more

the castle is not his real body

geez, said it like 5 times now -.-; Since its not his real body, you don't need anythign controlling him, since he wouldn't be a castle.

dont the avatars make pacts with the quest giver? saying blah blah ill be your blah blah w/e? And Alexander only posses the the strongest, therefor, they would have to kinda do something alone the lines of trying to make something "worthy" of his controlling?
i dunno but i think its safe to say alexander isnt a summon

I'd say beating him is proof that you're the strongest ~.~ Its the very same thing you do with the avatars. Defeat them to prove you're worthy.

Dragoon

Increase number of actions wyvern takes in battle.

Hmm....so the relic body should be strengthened as well...It only gives one random sj trait with a summoning of a dragon, if it gave abilities as well as sj traits from update and relic body....hmmm

with rdm,smn,bst,smn

Rdm- and I just bought a shitload of acc and att stuff for solo/besieged/w.e. lol

Smn- definitely sounds interesting using spirits to regain mp and hypocritical since they drain so much mp that they have to be a less perp or really short wait(assuming the summoner doesnt get the command to gain mp from elemental since we have no commands for them...) it probrably break even or worse and more likely a loss.

Bst- the snarl thing is definitely useful, too bad it only would be used by jugs(less hp and def as well as other stats)

Blu- always a fun thing to look forward too ^_^

But wouldnt they need to make him a vessel for him to posses? and dont they make pacts with the questgivers? thats what im getting at, i doubt odin and alexander would make pacts to be controlled lol :D and they dont seem all that kind for humanity, that and Odin is like a god, sorta like bahamut :)

They don't need a vessel for him to possess <.< they just need to make up a storyline about how he's ashamed of ow he looks or something, but we saved him/her from his/her worries and BAM, head shot.

The RDM thing has me curious. I have a Kracken Club, so a better enspell could make me a god. At least in my own mind.

He's a rdm. How often could he possibly hit above 0?

lol, but seriously, hitting for 1 gives mob nore tp, and you're not even doin "OK" damage to make up for the tp given.

Only way you MIGHT see a rdm melee is if they make it so rdm doesn't give ANY tp to the mob, then IF you are good on mp, you can melee.

That depends on what jobs you got in em.
I learned quickly to change my ws from DE to evisceration if a war had 90 tp when i was about to ws to prevent detonation SC from healing puk back at lv 71. drg can make gravitation and light with me very easily. howling fist was supposedly boosted enough to make it not inferior to asuran so that means another distortion opener as well as dragon kick possibilities. So mnk can do light/dark/distortion just from stuff from the top of my head and might be able to do fusion with a good WS already.(jin perhaps? i think i used to time it to fusion with mnks when we both had tp)
And at least as far as daggers are concerened a samurai can SC with me to create, light darkness, and gravitation while using thier 3 strongest non relic WS.
The fragmentation part of the SC chart has guilotine, slugshot/sidewinder, and raging rush all capable of making fragmentation which didnt get resisted alot when I used it on VT-IT tigers at lv 60(last time I was able to constantly do that SC nonstop by accident during a ws spam due to all the jobs having the right weapons)

The basic point is that there are several useful ws that can SC with each other. The problem lies in the fact that the skillchains still get resisted anyway on IT mobs or the monster is already so close to death that a blm using MB is overkill in addition to the blm being a waste of a slot anyway or the fact that it would be a crapshoot to find 2 dd with the exact same tp rate that can know to sc instantly and have a mage that can mb in time.
It's not one big factor. it's a ton of little ones.

I said cannon parties. Not gimp-thf colibri or Mire parties. The cannon developed with 3 weaponskills only: Rampage, Blade: Jin, and Asuran Fists. None of these SC well with eachother. The reason you don't wait for tp of someone else when using these jobs is the ability to perform another weaponskill incredibly quickly.
***Warning Elitest Post***
Stop responding to my posts like you know what you're talking about. If I meant all jobs, I would have said all jobs. The cannon didn't develop with thfs in the party. Now if you still want to use these jobs that can get tp incredibly fast while still doing damage to the mob, make the skillchains useful.

I can't believe you brought up RNG and THF when I said cannon...

Puk live in caedarva mire?
I'll be sure to tell jakey/rappa/phraust they cant qualify for a cannnon on thier drg/drk/sam/thf when I bother finishing off my last 2 str merits if I get lucky enough to get an invite from them sometime.
Also. this is a slightly different environment than what it was when cannons were developed. 2h users got thier boost. War's can use gaxe. Daggers got a damage bump. Just because the cannon was developed based on 3 exact ws doesnt mean it is going to be stuck like that for years despite job adjustments.
Silly me. here I was thinking that COR just might qualify as cannon material too.The rolls from cor got a boost as well making chaos roll ridiculously good wih a drk in pt. whenever i mention slugshot I mention it as "slugshot/sidewinder" because they're practically the same ws so I dont give a fuck which of em a person uses generally. ask a sam if they care about the difference between yuki/gekko/kasha outside of SC purposes.( yes i know that at different atk vs def tiers they actually do perform slightly different but they even out near the peak)

I meant the 2-handed fix never needed to happen dipshit. The only thing needed to be done to fix cannons was fix the skillchain chart. Stop trying to beat Jamal, you won't. Rappa was our WHM for the cannons because he realized that his DRK couldn't compete UNTIL the update, even though its gear was incredibly sick.
The thing is now, because of the 'fix' they put in place, you get gimp 2-handers thinking they're kings because of one modification they made that they completely fucked up in doing. DEX=ACC and STR=ATT. By doing this they made it possible for people with retarded gear to put out incredible damage numbers, didn't fix the fact that the best sub is still /nin, and only raised the amount of people participating in cannons rather than eliminating them

Seriously, stfu.

And Dragoons, Samurai, and some Dark Knights still look at you like you're fucking crazy for asking them to sub ninja post-update as well. ZOMG I GET NUTHING FROM DUAL WIELDING.

Yeah well, neither does my Monk, and I've been using ninja sub for a very long time.

QFT, lets hear what the almighty khajit has to reply to this.

And just like last time you argued with me because of your gimp experience:

Jamal is right lol.

um... have a happy period?

ok time for the serious answer.
My gaxe war has been subbing nin for survival/mp purposes so I dont see why they have any right to complain about doing the same to keep a chain going or keep themselves alive.
Except the drg part. that's more of a skill thing apparently. if the drg doesnt know how to use thier jumps or 3rd eye properly for self hate management then /nin (and if they just plain suck then /kick) . If the drg can get away with /war(aka jakey in his ridill cannons example he has used before in drg discussions where he outlines areas that /war can work and exell without mp sinkage) then they can sub /war if I trust em to keep hate off themselves properly(which means do I trust the rest of the pt to keep hate levels higher than the drg that is shedding hate).

Who the fuck cares if a drg can use its jumps so it can sub war. A war/nin even with the adjustements can dual weild, still outdamage and/or keep up with the mass damage dealers, as well as Negate damage. Its still a fucking cannon party...here's me with 3 2-handed weapon people:
Sitting on my hard drive, totally forgotten, of course.

110 battles only because I forgot to fix my filters for the first few >_>
parse2-1.jpg

WAR/NIN + Jugger / Ridill
WAR/uh, NIN? + Fortitude Axe
DRG/SAM + Mezraq
Wyvern
SAM/NIN + Hagun

Mistra completely slacked off towards the end of the parse, hence his low numbers. He was at 25% or so. I was SAM/NIN, Jamal was tanking, so both of us had lower numbers than we would have otherwise.
It's still a cannon.
It's still a cannon.

Doing the 2-handed update didn't negate that. It added more people into the mix. Ikari/BDF would have been inefficient parts of the party if they hadn't /nin'd. This has all been talked about.

It doesn't matter what weapons you are using, the 2-handed update did NOTHING to eliminate cannons. Please, stop arguing useless bullshit.

commenting on my jobs:

BLM- once again, getting shafted; goddamn.
THF- this sounds interesting D:, wonder what the recast would be? seems fairly powerful, i'd guess around 15:00.
RNG- interesting, as well

Irony? Who said anything about eliminating cannons?

Irony? Who said anything about eliminating cannons?

Skillchains still happen in endgame, it's just not an efficient for exp. They're going to need to make SC's do a lot of damage to be able to compete with just spamming weapon skills. But even then, it still probably wouldn't help get black mages into parties; why invite a job to finish up that last 10-15% of the mob's HP when you could have another melee do it without the downtime?

This was what my original posting was in reference to. I know it doesn't specifically say cannons, but its fairly well implied.
