jp only how gay and stupid they can become

generalization is part of life, whether you're NA, JP, white, black, latino, whatever

everyone makes generalizations and assumptions about everyone

what would you do as an employer if you had two guys apply for a job opening, you know nothing about either guy other than what they looked like (you haven't interviewed either person, only seen them when they dropped off their resume)

one guy had his arms tattooed from the wrist to his biceps
the other guy was clean shaven, and had zero tattoos

which guy are you gonna call back for an interview? the guy with tattoos could potentially be a MUCH better job candidate but based on what you know as a person, people who plaster tattoo's all over their bodies are more likely to be a troubling individual than someone who's got zero tattoo's

JP's who've had multiple bad parties with NA's, are obviously gonna make the generalization that the majority of NA's suck at this game (and btw, that's a fact that I've learned in my damn near 600 days of playtime), and they'd rather not take a chance at letting an NA prove themselves as being good when they can just grab a japanese player (maybe even someone they know personally) and party with them without the risk of problems

don't act like generalizing only happens on the internet

I'd pick the tatoo'ed guy since were working at a tatoo parlor, and he knows enough about them since he's gotten quite a few. Neener neener.

And then I might actually read the resume. I hear those state the applicant's credentials. Who'd a thunk.

Japanese or English doesn't matter to me one way or the other who invites me. It's when I try and invite someone and get the "No English" thing I get cheesed off....but is it "No English" = HAS no English?.....or is it "No English" = I don't WANT any English speaking parties? I'm sure they don't all mean exactly the same thing. The translator does need some improvement to allow for those sort of distinctions.

let me get this straight
because the guy has tattoo's automatically means he's ready to start injecting ink into other people? shit, i'm ready to pass the bar since I watch Law & Order on a daily basis!

and a resume may or may not have any credentials based on the job they're actually applying for, I've applied for jobs where all of my past jobs have nothing in common whatsoever with the job I'm trying to get

Having JPs and Americans on same server is the biggest mistake ENix ever did.
Lol if this server was only for americans, I'd have almost zero competition for every single NM due to the fact I live in Japan. Great idea. I'd be rich as fuck.

Well then you're not getting the job, sorry.

Listen I think you missed my whole point. I know there is generalization outside the internet. What I'm surprised about is, is that there is any generalization on the internet, since you can't expect to fully know someone by a few words with red and green brackets around them. Pretty stupid if you're gonna pass up a party because some tard warped after his level, and said tard isn't even in that party.

what a statement. truly riveting.

unfortunately, most japanese players who choose not to invite NA do so because they've had more than 1 single bad NA party, its usually because they've had SO MANY bad parties that it leads them to conclude that their chances of having a good party vs bad party with an NA person/group is lower than it is with an all-japanese party, they're just playing the odds based on their own personal experience

I'm sure this has been brought up at least a thousand times, but you do know "Japs" is a racist term, right? =P

I never realized japs was a racist term. However I never thought about. I know to keep that in mind now ^^

Which is funny, because he used the term again. Irony <3

Winkelwil has brought up some very interesting points about the apparent skill gap between our two cultures, and I think he hit a hot point as far as the biggest problem with out learning curve here in the US. (Canada too, for that matter.)

But to stay on topic, I've had some good parties with Japanese players, and some bad ones. The best party I've ever had was with some English speaking players, and the worst one I had was with some English speaking players as well.

But I've got to say, most of my bad XP parties with English speaking players was due to the fact of ignorance, not lack of skill persay. "Hey Aced, can you use convert? It'll give you MP faster!" "SHUT UP I DONT NEED U TO TELL ME WAT TO DO!"

lol

Thank you. At least somebody read my post. I think most people tend to skim over mine, because of the length. :/

Yeah, as I was reading that thread, I kept thinking how completely it proved my point. It's an extreme example, but still ... it's basically what I was talking about in a nutshell. I'm very curious to meet this "Aced" now, as long as I don't have to group with him.

Actually, I'm not racist at all. I'm in a japanese ls and I probably prefer playing with JP players over NA players just from what I've seen in-game and on qcdn. lol. My personality just fits in better with the JP players whom I've met. Although I know plenty of amazing NA players who I love getting out and doing shit with ^^.

And my previous post was all sarcasm, in case it wasn't noticed >.> lol

Aw jesus christ. I mean previous to the "Actually, I'm not racist at all..." post.. Not my night on the qcdn...
