About a week ago, I sold my Barone Corazza after deciding it wasn't worth it besides a status symbol. The sale goes good and I find myself with a good amount of gil, and I decide that I am going to bid on a PCC because I've camped Argus for days and still can't manage to get it. There is one left on the AH, so I bid on it for the last price of 9.5mil. No go. So I leave and go back to the AH a couple hours later and there are two. So I bid 9.5 again, and no go. So I go up in incriments of 100,000. The AH starts laggin out so I exit it for a couple minutes, and I go back into the AH again to bid on the PCC, and at this point I am up to 11mil in bidding. So I scroll down and highlight PCC and bid 11mil. I get an item, but it wasn't the PCC. I got a Holy Phial for 11mil gil.

At this point, I am incredibly pissed. Jeuno lag, combined with a 4AM bid, caused me to pay 11mil gil on a Holy Phial. So I look at the sales history and see that it is Karahan that has my money. So I'm like, okay, english speaker because I have seen him in a NA LS. So I camp the /search list for awhile when he finally comes on.

I send him a /tell informing him of the situation, and he said he has already spent my money on a PCC that he bought from a friend, a Balmung, and a Eye Cluster. He won't return the money. I even offered to take a 2mil cut from the money so he can keep the cluster and the Balmung, but he refuses. I try reasoning with him, but to no avail.

He offers to repay once he gets into Gods and Sky, but do you really think that will happen? I know it is my fault along with the Jeuno lag, but it was an honest mistake...

11mil gil in the hole and another asshole to add to the list... :evil:

I've gotta point out the irony of selling a 'status symbol' item to buy a Peacock Charm.

If I were you, though, I'd consider the gil long gone and just work towards doing whatever you did to get that gil in the first place. Who knows, someday you may see that 11 million in your inbox.

lol Well yeah, PCC is a status symbol too, but it is one that is the best in its class. The Corazza is easily beaten out by a Rare/Ex piece of armour which I already had. And yeah, I'm not expecting that gil any time soon since he already flat out told me he isn't returning the item, but maybe once he starts Gods. And I got that gil by selling an item for 4 times what I bought it for, which was the Corazza.

Should've just gone to Batallia Downs dude... there's always tons of JP selling for 8-10mil. the most I lost is 30k over a 3k stack of kabobs

I experienced something similar last week. I bid on a Puissance Ring +1 for about 250k, but the game lagged and bid all the money I had as well (about 400k) <.<

I sent a load of pleading /tells to the seller, and fortunetly, he gave me back the excess.

I Have Never Even Had 11 Mill at One Time.. The Other Day Some JP bought My 66 level Katana For 800k thinking it was the FuDo. The 66 Katana Was 3k ; ; I found the Poor dude in History and Sent him 797k back Since im Not a Prick!!! Sorry Bud!!!

It's about 4am now and I've saw one for 8mil, one for 7mil, and one for 9mil in Bat. Downs. Last night same deal... Patience young grasshopper and for christ sakes PCC is pretty steady at 9.5 or less now in most bazaars and auctions why pay more than that? You can't rush with the big bucks.

PCC is now easy as pie to get. That BC is a friggin joke+1. It use to be a status symbol now it's just another drop that everyone and there mother can and will eventualy have for nothing or little.

Ok the point of the AH is to bid on items and to out bid other players while at the same time triing to get the item for about the same price that the seller put it up for. Why should he give you back your money because you were careless. That seems to be the problem with all of society in general now. Like someone is supposed to hold your hand and give you a pat on the back, no harm done, when you screw up. I say let it be a lesson to you to pay more attention to what you are doing in the future.

And I already tried the GMs. They can't do anything even though its their servers that fucked it up partly cause on my screen, I clearly saw PCC.

Ask em how its not their fault when the update said that bazaaring en-masse in jeuno was banned to cut down on the lag... lasted about 2 days, and now all the jeuno bazaars are back.. and the lag. Ask em why its your fault theyre not doing their job.

I had someoen harass me for a few months, a GM said as long as it wasn't carrying over into my RL he couldn't do anything.
