If someone shows up to the OP's party in terrible gear and gets kicked I don't think he's an asshole at all. He's well within his rights as a leader to choose who he wants in his party.

I also happen to think he's an attention whore for posting this thread right after the two threads with a lot of gear-need vs. want discussions, so I called him out on it.

Well, about the Rajas ring. For quite some time on NIN I was using Snipers/Divisor, however after Perdu Blade came out I noticed that the majority of the time I was getting 4% TP return on both of my hits, whereas before with different katanas I was getting 5% much more often. To remedy this I went back to Rajas/Divisor and problem was solved. However, if it weren't for the akward delay level of the katanas I would be sticking with the acc + rings. (read: was actually getting TP faster in Rajas a good amount of the time thanks to the store TP +)

I didn't post in those threads, but I guess that's not what you mean. What you're saying is those threads gave me the idea for this thread, I think, and that's not the case.

What caused me to post this was the obscenely equipped monk I referred to before. I didn't actually kick him because I wasn't sure it was right...I thought I'd ask you guys.

Jojojo calling others gimp is really bad when you kinda aren't the greatest geared mnk in the world. You dont have haidatte, you dont have really all that great of earrings. I COULD BE WRONG, but last i checked you didn't have Ninja leveled at a competent subjob lvl. The last part i could be wrong about though.

You talk about people not having competent gear for their jobs. Hell I wanna see Faith torque, Faith H2H.

I truly do find it ironic that you call others "GIMP" in each of your flames, when the only "Good" piece of gear you have, is the BB. Btw you never did thank integral for helping you w/ the 2/3 drops for BB, instead giving all the credit to your own linkshell.

Until you truly become a great great monk, w/ capped merits/salvage/Sea/and a relic H2H... you dont really have a right to call others gimp.

Way to act like BB is that hard to get. 2/3 NQ mobs are soloable, can very easily be duod as well. There are a few shells selling Beards in the aery as well, and also many shells will kill KS99s for you for the money drops and give you the beard.

lol, wut? First you'd have to get claim, then you'd have to deal with the abyssmal droprate even if you can solo it which I doubt 95% of quetzalcoatl could do. None of that is easy, lol. Even with a duo the claim and droprate is a problem and you'd have to be pretty good to duo them. You'd be a lot better off farming up some gil and just buying them from a shell when the HQ pops (or luck out on the nq).

Relic is never going to be standard equipment, and the only truly worthwhile items from salvage(for monk, atleast) are sune-ate and somen.

Don't get me wrong, the other pieces are good. They just aren't leaps and bounds better than easier to achieve alternatives. But also don't forget that it can be months before you complete just a single piece.

Faith Torque isn't much better than PCC/PCA. But yeah, without atleast Brutal Earring, you can't be calling many people gimp. They aren't expensive to just pay for nowadays.

The discussion isn't about endgame, it's about exp parties on the way to endgame levels; so this is the appropriate place for it.

The way the post was titled/worded I thought you HAD kicked people and were basically gloating about it. If that's not the case I apologize.

If someone shows up in level appropriate equipment, eats good food, and does their job, then I don't see why you would kick them. Booting someone for not having a swift belt at 50 I would question. Booting someone for using lvl 15 NQ rings at lvl 60 I wouldn't. Those are extreme examples, but where you draw the line is up to you and probably depends on how good YOUR gear is as well. Obviously people with the best gear can be more picky about what they'll accept in others, and that's the most honest answer you're going to get.

If the MNK was wearing a bomb queen ring, you could ask him about it in tell. I know there's been a party or two where I had a piece of soloing gear in a nonvisible slot and didn't catch it until halfway through the party. (Yes, I sure wanna wear my suppanomimi when I'm using a scythe >_<;; ) So it might not be intentional bad gearing if it's one or two slots like that, and the guy might just give you an embaressed thanks if you pointed it out to him. If his gear is just generally BAD, and you know that its intentional then go ahead and boot him.

This doesn't even make sense. Are certain posts now automatically associated with other forums or something? I'm pretty sure qcdn is doing just fine being qcdn. If I want a bg forum I'd go and make an account there. I hear rain outside, apparently my city wants to be a tropical rain forest now.

I bet the word "gimp" has never left your mouth then, right? I mean, without a full morrigan's set and a novio/novia combo, surely you would have no right to call someone without elemental staves a gimp. Something tells me you would, though...and that's because you're full of shit.

That's the thing though... if you know your gear is garbage and there are realistic alternatives that would improve your set-up, then why are you levelling without them? You don't have time to farm? You just want to level to 75 real quick? Sorry, but they aren't really good excuses :\

I could see RDM AF body as enfeebling overkill on exp mobs, especially if you have MC Bracelets or Enfeebling Torque to complement. But I wouldn't boot someone who was wearing it <_<;

Me and Fee {blm} duo'd adaman pretty far, then a SAM and BLM from PP showed up to finish the job.. It was the day after Aspid though, so he walked around for 15 minutes before we started chopping him down. We got this really cool shield!
 
I read BG for like the last two weeks and its the same nonsense almost thread for thread that we have here. Only difference is that the nonsense is from other servers. You can pick out the people who know what they're talking about, the idiots who think they know what they're talking about, and the rest of them are idiots who follow along with the other two types. Just like QCDN.

Their event threads are more inclusive because they can pull from the best of each server, but other than that I don't see the point (because I don't do most of that crap anyway)

Hey i mean you dont see me calling people gimp and making fun of their gear on this site ^^.

I mean, i may say oh he isn't wearing such and such gear.... But the only people i call Gimp, are my friends in joking ways, RMT, or people attempting to call others gimp ^^.

I dont have uber gear on rdm, you dont see me go shouting to everyone HAY GUYS I HAVE 2/5 RDM RELIC AND ALTURISTIC CAPE AND SUCH!

I base gimpness on the person's character and style of play. If a RDM doesn't refresh or a WAR doesn't WS. Or a persons attitude, example what you wrote above. If a person is wearing full leather gear at 75, ill ask him to change. If he doesn't then ill ask him to leave. I dont post stupid shit about it here every other day.

If you dont like people posting on your threads, make your own blog and bitch about it there dude.
