When I kick someone because their gear is below my standards (not mediocre, but just awful) am I being a dick, or am I justified?

I'm talking a 75 without acc rings, or something along those lines.

you're more then likely saving yourself from starting our next flame.

I can already see the end of this.
Those who'd call you an asshole would be bashed by the "leet" players for being gimp.
Time to sit back and watch the show.

Booting someone because they are horrible at their job, they don't listen to instructions or because they have abysmally horrible gear are all ok. You should mention why you are kicking them, in the incredibly rare chance that they're not retarded and will actually try to improve their gear so it doesn't happen again.

Only the gimps think you should let gimps leech.

Hell, I booted a guy from a Pt cause he didn't have a stagging point. Fucking people are lazy. Show them you won't put up with their shit.

I wish more leaders would do that. Had to go to the fucking horrible caedarva mire because some idiot didn't want to take the 10 minutes it'd take to get the mammol ja or the nyzul isle staging points. Although I'd usually just leave if they're going to get shitty exp with a gimp member rather than kick the gimp and get far more exp somewhere else.

If they are holding the party back in a significant way(and not just because they're not a cannon job), they have no right to complain when you kick them for the group's best interests.

Funny thing about the guy I booted. He threatened me by saying he'd tell GMs I was a RMT. I laughed cause RMT don't lvl Smn. Lol And I booted him for not having the Mamool one.

No. Kudos to you, Sir.

pfffft Canadians can't be RMTs <,<

you asshole jojojo why you gotta kick me outta that pt?? just cuz i dont have Ebow doesnt make me gimp lol :)

but anyways its like what baja said but if you talk to them and they say they trying to improve there no reason to kick em(they can use food to at least try to balance it out)

I'd do it again! EBOW RNGS ONRY!

You have to be courteous when doing it though >.>;

Seeing 1/2 your flames you do probably do it less than politely. You invited the person, hopefully you removed him before you got to the SP. You as a leader should check these things before removing members or deciding which camp to go to.

If the person doesn't follow directions, then you should give the person ample time/notice that he/she will be replaced. If you just boot and replace, well that doesn't make you any better than the "Gimpee."

If you are removing a person because he is a war and doesnt have a Woods/Jugg or a Woods/Man then yes you are a dickhead. Or if he/she is a rdm and wears AF1 Body, then yes you are a dickhead.

Not all mobs require ACC rings, fyi >.>; You can get away w/ sporting STR rings on alot of merit type mobs, especially if you have a bard.

I'm kind of in the middle on this one; it's your pt, you're the leader, do what you think is best...

....and then be prepared for all hell to break loose on the Flameboard

I mean ring slots? That's it? Ring slots? >.>;

Hate to disagree with you, but staging points are like teleport crags...you really shouldn't ever have to ask if they have them. Most of them aren't remotely hard to get to, and the arguably most difficult ones are still nothing compared to getting, say, the Vahzl crag, so there's really not much of an excuse at all.

*edit*

This confuses me...who the crap would kick a RDM for wearing AF1 body? O_o

They should be using food anyway. In my opinion, there's no reason to not use food. Even if you're fighting Colibri, you can grab a few stacks of Mithkabobs. They're only 3k/stack.

If they're 'trying to improve,' they should be farming, not exping.

there are only like 2, 3 or 4 important staging points anyway... The rest arent even needed, practcally EVER... Maybe on a rare occasion, but yeah... Should at least get the basic points...

Rajas Ring doesn't have any accuracy. Would you boot me from your PT? ; ;

ps - You have the right to boot anybody you feel like booting from your PT at anytime. It's just the way you go at it lol

i would. get a venerer's ring gimp. :rtfm:

i've left parties due to poor setups and removed members for problematic behavior. i've yet to have to boot someone cause of what they had on. the one time i almost did would have been a big mistake cause the guy made up for it by playing his job's strengths better then anyone i've seen in a long time.
