Kisada. (large ..)

Why is everyone saying he didn't give the money back? From what I read he did send the initial payment back. And you say it isn't about the exp but it sounds like it is a lot about the exp (as well as the trust). Frankly.. if I give my info to someone I don't expect them NOT to have fun with my character. It's a game after all. And I might ask them to level a job up for me for a bit but I don't say "hey you can't do this this and this" cause, quite frankly, it's a game. Gil used.. I can make again just fine, exp lost? I've gone through long exp grinds I can do it again. It's just a game to me but if my friends enjoy themselves than that's more important to me. The game to me is far less important than my friends and people I care about enjoying themselves. Now, they, of coarse, respect me enough where they don't die all that often (it was only once so far to my knowledge) and they don't use my gil up at all.

What I'm saying really is that I'm a bit disgusted by both sides. You never put any restrictions on what he could do in the first place. You only asked for him to level his NIN which he didn't and he sent the gil back. If you just expected him to know not to do certain things well... no one is a mind reader so it's foolish to think he would know not to. Certainly somethings are obvious as you might not want to die and I'm sure Necrosis wasn't going around just getting killed every place he could. Now, Necrosis really should have finished leveling the NIN off to 37 and not expect any more gil since he did use your character for other things (and prolly shoulda sent the money back that you sent him even after completing NIN to 37 since he did use your character for other things).

Everyone is so quick to just put Necrosis on the cross cause he fishbotted (OMG WHAT ASHAME D: FISHBOTTING CAUSE FISHING IS JUST SOOO EXCITING.. jesus christ people.. shut the FUCK up about that..fishing isn't fun to some people and don't care to sit at the computer for hours on end to level it when they could do something more productive like... oh... school work?) and people claim he bots at other NMs and such. Now this just pisses me off to no end cause a lot of these people are the same people that defend the fucking gilsellers who flee hack, bot, warp, etc all over the place. And some of the same people I know are ones that are so naive to think the JP don't bot either.. you're all so quick to hang Necrosis but just fine with the gilsellers and JP out botting them at NMs and such. Either hang all of the botters or shut the fuck up and just sit by as you get out claimed by the botters (granted you have a chance, small as it might be) at NMs or, here's a thought, get a bot of your own. Square Enix already said several times that bots are acceptable if the player is at the computer.. so it's not breaking the laws of the game or anything.

Anyways.. both sides look bad to me. Necrosis for not getting his friend's NIN to 37 (but atleast he sent the 5 mil back as I believe I read) as well as using Sote's character so lightly. Sote for seeming to care more about the exp loss on his BST and other things about his character in some stupid game than a friend's enjoyment. You gave him the account, you should have expected him to use it to the fullest. As for Kisada, well, I don't know him well, I don't hate him or like him really, but he comes off rude in the screenshots. However, that can be expected when he is angry his cousin (whom it seems he is close to) is quitting because of what Necrosis supposedly was doing with his cousin's character. Oh well...
 
I had full intentions of sending the gil back, but apparently he quit before I could.

I lost a moderately large amount of exp on his bst, yes. It was purely accidental... I can safely say I suck at BST. I tried gaining some back by exping in boyahda... only to end up dying.

If I came on my account and found out someone I had given info to had de-lvled me to 73, I'd be pissed, yeah, but I wouldn't quit.

Either way, I have a lot of remorse regarding this (rightfully so), especially considering he quit.
 
Ok this is what i think about this whole situation.First of all his cousin was a noob and he should have just ebayed a level 75 nin like most elites tend to do (No offense but its true).And necro i've been nothing but nice to you all the time but you tend to think i'm trying to make fun of you or stuff like that (i.e when we were camping that fishman in Grotto) hence you overreact.Meastoso escorted me around sea couple of months ago so i gotta thank him for that cuz i think i might never have finished it without his help.SO i guess the taru (meastosos)was misinformed.And kisada... don't know you buddy but you don't seem to be older than 15,judging by your posts.i wonder who you payed to get ur account lvled keke.And trust me if my cousin was paying someone to level his account e.t.c (Btw my cousin is in one of the best linkshells in FFXI atm.He has like 5 jobs to 75) i won't really care even if he got fucked over.Hey you play with fire you can burn urself.And he lost couple of exp... cmon get the fuck outa here quit whining.
Necro you can send me 8 mil out of the 10 mil i'd replace my assault jerkin with a SH and God would forgive all ur skins kk? =).But i might not pick it up for few days i've been on a break for the past few months so i guess you can give it to taylor to hold it for me

I enjoy fishing. Every person who has ever fish botted has slapped me in the face and lessened my accomplishments. If you don't enjoy something, or don't have time for it, YOU SHOULD NOT DO IT, not fucking cheat. Your logic fails.

you enjoy it, I don't, that's why I don't fish. As I said. Some people might want a high level fishing though and don't enjoy fishing for whatever reason.

Based on the evidence I find this statement to be complete bullshit. Yes it may of been an accident the first, or maybe even the 2nd time - but after he repeatedly asked you to stop playing with his BST and you continued to do so, this statement loses all it's credibility as do you and your post.

  1. Do something they don't really care for to reap the rewards.
  2. Find something they DO enjoy and use that toward their goals.
Notice "cheat the system and do whatever you feel like" isn't among those.

Some people don't enjoy being out-claimed on NMs/HLNMs but always want to camp them with a guarantee claim, does this mean they should use warp/teleport/provoke bots?

there's a difference in those situations though. Fishing involves you and only you. HNM and NM hunting there are other people. And if they are using bots to outclaim you than I'd say you should us a bot to even the playing field with them.

All the times were accidental. The most recent, one I was lagging out and was on autorun and ran into a steelshell when he was in Boyahda tree. The other time I logged on and found a party that CFH'ed a darter, they escaped and it linked and killed me when I helped.

Not really. Fish botting has an effect on all other fishers, the amount of gil in the economy, how much you're willing to spend on gear with the gil you didn't earn etc. Tell Hali that fish botting's A' Okay after he's spent so long working his ass off getting his Lu Shang and spending hours upon hours fishing in order to earn his Nobles. Tell him it's okay that someone put no work into it and got the same results he did, just because fishing is 'boring'

I'm sorry but your logic is flawed.
 
Back in the heyday of fishbotting there were no other people, period.

It was all NPC'd, Garvin. There was no market, and no competition selling the fish.

Uhh no they weren't, you shouldn't of been on his BST in the first place running into those situations. When he says "Don't play my BST" that means...you guessed it, "Don't play his BST." After he asked you to stop, you should of been touching NOTHING but his Ninja, this was not a favor you were doing for him out of the goodness of your heart - he paid you.

Which, at that point, increased the amount of gil in the economy. Add into that the fact that most bots fished rusty caps (I remember to this day being in rabao among them) and you've got one of the bigger causes for so much gil in the economy today.

Almost no action in an MMORPG goes without consequence to other players, no matter how trivial it may seem, or how justified one believes it is.

It always affects someone else.
