I don’t claim to have singlehandedly done anything for the game. I may have started something…. but I doubt that as well.

Unfortunately, I think myself and my colleagues may have killed the game.
Hmmm.... back tracking on taking credit for something you thought would impress us but didn't?

I still love ffxi. I don’t play because I actually have a real life and a family and I can’t devote my time to trying to get around the RMT or the legitimate players to do the things I want anymore. If I had time and no life, I would probably still play.
OH NOEZ!!! The Real Life card!!! Damn got us there.
Personally, I know shit about hacking and script whatever, all I know is I'm playing a game I enjoy, knowing most people in it have an advantage over me, be it by purchasing gil or by using software and tools I'm not. I don't mind, I can still have fun and reach the goals I set for myself (unlike you, who admittedly had to use 3rd party software to stand a chance in the game, must have sucked).
But what I find irritating, is when someone that either develops or distribute the tools and hacking software, comes public with it and try to impress the gaming or hacking community with his actions. And before you say that wasn't your intention, you made a BLOG entry about it, you expected people to read it or else you wouldn't have said anything. For all I know, you asked Chasym to post that crap here. If you had no intention to brag about your actions, you would have kept your mouth shut.
You failed at FFXI and you turned to what you knew best, developping or distributing hacks and tools. In short, cheating. Now you tried to brag about it and when you realized it was backfiring on you (at least here) you tried to backtrack. I have to give you one positive thing, at least you realized it, unlike others like the OP of this thread who still hang on these board after admitting to crapping on the rest of the gamers. Not to mention the few followers who still kiss his ass for some unknown reason.
Both of you tried to play FFXI, failed, had to resort to tools, tried to impress the rest of us with it, backfired and you lost. End of story, gtfo.
