Wha? I've done ballista once pre-75 and that was because Achelois and Tidy wouldn't shut up until I agreed to come. O_o If you're referring to me then I don't know what on earth you're talking about.

Hell, I don't think I even had my license till like closer to 70...
 
lol, we once had a BLM in our ls that wanted to be SMN onry. So what did he do? Leveled WHM all the way to 30, with BLM1 sub. Wouldnt level it no matter what anyone said. It was 'too hard' and 'he didnt like blm.'

Thats just lazy. It isnt expensive, it isnt hard. Time consuming, maybe, but definitely NOT hard.

like hell it is. BLM's fly through lvls in the early stages. it may take several parties but still. :wacko:

Everyone's definitions of how long something takes is subjective.

For me, it's damn fugging long and boring.
 
First off... Personally, WHM isn't that expensive to level. The only problems one may run into are obtaining the various spells. MND and MP equipment, while nice (i.e. Holy Phial, etc) isn't fully necessary to obtain at that immediate level. Take your time and get money - then buy it (though I got lucky and got a Phial for 20k a couple years ago>.>;). Otherwise, just try to get what equipment you can with what money you have, but remember that spells come first.
Second premise, some SMN just don't want to main heal. Of course, if that was the case in this scenario, I'm sure he would have been like me when I was leveling up SMN for my WHM support.. and placed a comment in his /search comment saying that he does not wish to main heal.
Overall, from the sounds of it.. the person is merely someone who does not wish to main heal or is just not motivated enough to go out, get gil, and buy necessary (not wanted) spells (i.e. Raise, Protect/-ra, Shell/-ra, Cure/-aga, etc) and equipment (i.e. Pilgrim's Wand [+2 hMP] is free from W. Saruta NM, Zealot's Mitts are only 10k on Jeuno AH, etc) for WHM in order to level it. If you really do think WHM is that expensive to level... just ask around and find a WHM who had money trouble (and/or still does... such as myself..) back around that level and ask them what they did.
 
whm i can see reasonably costing 200k to level to 38. hmm... I can probably make.. what, 50+k/h telewhoring on a decent day... in an hour you see tons of tele's anywhere between 2 and 10k mmmm... so ya, not only does it pay for itself when it's done but people have financed their other jobs with a whm sub. when you hit 38 you can suddenly pay for everything. this isn't like when erase was 2m. cost excuse in nullified. you could level whm in event gear till 50. Seen it done, and not by a gilseller.

Edit btw tag? when people mention drgs, it's not always about you.
 
We're not even talking about just main healing. In my case he sat on his ass with 900 mp while I struggled to keep people healed/hasted/silena'd etc. He couldn't even be bothered to toss out a cure before sitting down. The BLM shoulda just kicked him.
