His second appeal was canceled by the bomber's own request.
Rumor has it he was going to be transfered, which isn't possible with an an on-going appeal. Some time after that, he was released on compassionate grounds rather than transfered. Release on compassionate ground is still possible even with an on-going appeal though. Either way, there's most likely something else behind his release.
And yeah, it hurt my eyes too. I colored them to easier compare related evidence with each other, and I ran out of colors, unless you wanted yellow, which would hurt even more <.<; I colored it to a not-so-bright green now though xD It helped
Rumours are bad, mmmkay?
He wasn't going to be transerred; it was suggested, and quashed very quickly, there was never any question that he would be transferred, other than media speculation - and we all know how much of what they say is reliable.
Just today, the government here in Scotland released all the paperwork concerning Megrahi's release; Kenny McCaskill, the man who authorised the release, went to visit Megrahi 4 times and suggested each time that he drop his appeal in order to be released on "compassionate grounds". Why? All this really says is "admit your guilt and we'll let you go through pity".
Your absurdly long post full of quotes without sources was, quite frankly, a waste of time, as you've again failed to see the bigger picture:
- Whether or not Megrahi was inoccent or guilty is
IRRELEVANT. He is now back in Libya as a free man
BECAUSE HE HAS CANCER. He was released as a tried and convicted guilty man, having murdered 270 people, and lack of evidence has
NEVER been used as an excuse for his release. Again, I've said this before, but you're not listening.
1) Megrahi was found guilty of 270 murders and jailed accordingly.
2) Megrahi got cancer.
3) Megrahi was released because he has cancer, not because of new evidence or anything to prove his innocence.
All of your quotes and the like would be relevant had he been released because of lack of evidence, and assumed innocent - but he wasn't, so they're meaningless.
Once more, for the road.
Megrahi, a mass murderer, was released because he had cancer.
Him being innocent, or the evidence used to prove him guilty being flawed, is
IRRELEVANT.
