And they're milking the same meleers' kindred seals for profit. If you want to piss developers off, put arrowburn only in your search comment and run a line of 10 meleers through a BC while taking a free cut. Form up 15 blms and take down something that was supposed to be a challenge, and then expand your enterprise. Go ahead and take the idea of balance that is their ultimate goal and spit at it. Someone said they play blm for the power. They're not powerful and never were. They do damage and they have enfeeblers. People who played blm for the power didn't do it because it was powerful. They did it because sleepga and thundaga could be taken advantage of. The only way a blm can outparse a good meleer endgame is if they play keepaway bouncehate from them, or if they try to perpetuate the 2004 mentality that "melee gives the mob tp." Black mage, like ranger, never needed nerfing. The players did. Warriors should thank square for what they did to ranger. But unfortunately now warriors are doing the same thing rangers did. That type of player never learns.
Nevertheless, people have no one to blame for the nerf but themselves. Black mages, meet rangers. Rangers...lol welcome back to the world of the living. Topic title says it all like always. I could refrain from telling the forum how things are going to be in this game, but that just makes it all the funnier when it happens and you can cut with a knife the dissonance between what people said previously and what they try to cover it up with now that they're wrong. I could say "don't do it again" but let's be honest...we all know they will. They play for the power, and by default that is the wrong answer. In the end, if blms were to throw a fit and leave, nothing would happen. Play for the power? More like don't play or acknowledge anything else because it's not powerful. That's where the nerf comes in. All they are, in the end, is wrong about that.
Padded caps, baby. Padded caps. The only imbalance short of an outright exploit is a player-perpetuated one, but that doesn't make it any less real and damaging. Some user's always convincing themselves that they've got right somewhere. This ain't new, and it'll never be old.
Kudos to Square. If they don't see the worth of others, make them see it. Don't even ask them what they think. They'll think something different the day after the fix to step back in line with reality or if they're particularly bullheaded...they'll level summoner or warrior. I told a shell a year ago that summoner was the job to highly recruit if they planned on taking big things better. Laughed it up then and said their rangers and blms were just fine. Last time I heard, though, they had 3 shiny new summoners. Not fit to grace the presence of them one minute. The next they're gold.
Here's some advice to make the nerfs stop: Stop.
