I know it goes against "normal" protocol, but look for jobs that don't have their (!) seek flag up too if you can't make a party purely out of (!) seekers. Some people really don't like getting invites without their (!), and that should always be respected, but it never hurts to offer someone a party really.

There's no way in hell I would've made it to 75 DRG without inviting non-(!) people.

argus, fleetool, those are configured to work WITH windower, so they are in turn also fixed.

uh, load FFHookLauncher.exe, loaded just like regular PoL from there on for me.

they cant PATCH windower because windower uses hooks to hook into the game.
After every major update these hooks change.
Same with argus and all that crap, they run on memlocs. When an update occurs, memlocs change or get moved.
They just need to edit in the new hooks. Just like every single time windower stopped working after an update.
its not patched.

If people would stop freaking out and breaking the site, then they'd be able to post the new version. They usually have it up the day an update breaks it. Like Chasym said, it's usually just changing a few little things around.

to get it to work do this.

Rename the HOOK.DLL file in your english windower folder to HOOK2.DLL to save it as a back up.

Rename the FFHOOK.DLL file in the JP windower to Hook.dll and put it in your english windower file.

Take Madchook.dll and rename it IN CAPS to MADCHOOK.DLL and put it in the english windower folder and your PoL folder.

The message in the Japanese windower says the following:

POLのフﾙパスを入カしてください。

This means, rougly, "Please put in the Playonline folder. At least, I'm assuming that the katakana that says "furupasu" is folder. The Japanized English can be trickier than you think sometimes.

I thought it was Fraps, at first.

I use a laptop to play and this blows ass. I don't use windower and every time I log in it blue screens. OR I get in and it bluescreens upon zoning.
