Lyndis: the after-action report

Meh don't worry about it, every job attracts its good and bad players, but it just so happens to be that they people who play X job bad share alot in common with others that play their job bad.

I'll be fair and bash my own job too in the types of bad players it gets.

Bad rdms tend to be idiot freeloafers, that's why there are rdms getting flamed, hardworking people can't freaking stand it. It's like being in a class group project or a work office thing with other people and everyone is doing their share of work except one dumb fucking retard taking a nap, you want to straggle the guy/girl!

Bad thfs tend to be Slllooooooowwwwwwwww. Oops I missed SC for the billionith time, oops my DD died because I couldn't SATA intime because I'm not aggresive enough and god damn stupid. Rarely do I see thfs get flamed for being gimp, but mostly slow and stubbern. And alot of thfs tend to be suicidal with their characters, that's like a double edged sword.

Bad drks T414 L143 this. They wear shitty gear and think they can stand toe to toe against quality rangers and blms. They make excuses about having less than +20 acc by lvl 60 by saying they have skill so it's ok. They have alot of skill in auto-attacking  . If you need actual proof just go to alla, AF quests, and click on the AF items for drk and look at all the dumbest people that make more typos than Wolfskymoon during a keg party.

Bad blms lack the basic darkstaff and icestaff, and I've seen this before, it wasn't pretty. Bad blms all have this in common, the worst sense of time and management ever. They can't manage mp and they can't land a damn MB because they ate paintchips.

Dragoons have all that gilseller crap going around them, most don't bother getting snipers ever by their 60s. I do

Rangers people don't like often are ones that bitch about SATAor have alot of difficultly working with SATA partners(thf/ or /thf, and yet ranger plus thief make a pretty ideal team), rangers that whine about cost, and rangers with an ego the size of the grand canyon.

Ninjas that cast utsusemi and maybe only 2-3 other tools, tops. That's the complaint about them I'll normally hear if one is stated.

Whms that can't manage mp, have a pathetic mp total, such as 600 mp at lvl 60ish are the center of attention in the world of bad whms. Although for some races consideration and disadvantages must be taken into account. They manage hate poorly and are consistantly stealing hate slowing the party down. Although not always the whms fault, but I was referring to when it is.

This list can go on quite easily as I would've gotten repeative. Point is that it's obvious all jobs attract it's fair % of bad players. In comparion to people playing the job, all jobs have about an equal ratio of lazy/stupid/lack of effort people. In my opinion all the bad players of a certain type of job have alot in common in how they suck.It just so happens that stereo type for rdm happens to be poor playing ability and strategy. And the reason you'll see more rdm flames than any other job flame is because people have the least tolerance for total lack of effort, even over rudeness, it's just the nature of the game.

The only job no one should be able to completely screw up is bard, sure it's a busy job and I love it to be honest, but a monkey could do it. As a matter of fact, all jobs in this game can easily be mastered in their basics by 30-40 quite easily, maybe that's why people have so little tolerence for people that can't handle simple tasks.

As for you, I'd assume you're a decent rdm, so don't fear my opinion. Just the way you posted leads me to believe you don't have anything amazing and jawdropping, but you don't take your job lightly since it reflects you. If you're the type of player I'm amusing you are, you really have nothing to fear. I would agree though that the boards make rdms to be worse than they're. Infact I've been rathered pleased with most rdms I've had to party with. No point in going over what they did right and wrong, I'm sure you know damn well your own job and don't need me repeating it like everyone else.

There are plenty of good rdms out there, it's just that it's always the bad people that get the spotlight. The only jobs that get glorified for being performing very well are DDs, because the evidence lies in the numbers. Having played bard as a 2ndary job for 51 levels now I can say the support role job doesn't get glorfied except in emergency situations when they hold things together(horde's / chainspell-anything). You will barely notice an ideal rdm or brd, yet they're the backbone keeping everything working as a well oiled machine, so any attention such a job does get happens to be negative.

And since rdm's are needed for every setup and there are very few brds lfp rdm is high demand and can't just be replaced. That's another reason why rdm gets bashed for bad performences, we the players really can't do a whole lot about it. IF the DD is being an asshole/sucks beyond reason, he can be replaed a bit more easily, so there is less need to flame such a person on the boards.

Personalities, can't say I'm type B :P , but I'm no type A either. It's funny you brought that up because every personality test I've ever taken as yielded this result. "You are completely inbetween"

I'm a on the dot mix between A and B type, I've taken poltical party tests, I got perfectly to the point on the middle between the 2, good-evil test, I'll let you guess  /Hurray for completely in the middle people.

I look forward to your response if you even want to keep posting. I wouldn't blame you though if you don't. Some people perfer to avoid these kind of topics and I can definitely respect that.

Fae, as for /brd, I still think I can handle it if I attempted it, and I know people that can :P

ok cubswoo, I got a little upset that you blamed all of the bad xp from that party on me. I don't know about you, but getting called an idiot before i even got there, didn't put me in a good mood or inspire me to impress any of you. Why don't you try walking into a hostile enviroment There were alot of other problems with the party, i just choose to help heal so as few ppl as possible ended up dying. if you didn't think i was enfeebling enough or was sticking my nose too much in the healing, you could have sent me a /tell. i probably would have responded positivly if you were polite. Forgive me for not having had enough money for a dark staff at the time i recently got one for resting purposes, as for meleeing, i didn't place that over casting if you were paying so much attention to me you would have noticed. but, like others have said if you don't like me don't party with me.
