Makes Sense To Me

What defines lazy in that description, being unemployed? If so, did it ever cross your mind that they might be largely unemployed because of being black? Which would obviously segue to being "trouble"some for most.

Heh, if you think that's the case you really have no idea what it's like there. To answer your question though, I was speaking more so of the ones that are employed as I had more contact with them. Furthermore, this day and age, those excuses are unacceptable, even in Alabama. I know a good number of successful Black people in Alabama, it can be done and is accomplished. Coming from there to a state like TX, I've seen many examples but my favorite is construction times. Schools, churches, and stuff of the sort go up in months here. In Alabama, it's years. There is a lot to be said in that for having Mexicans for laborers as apposed to Blacks (main low end labor force in Alabama), but I'm goin' to keep it short. You can throw any excuse in the book at me, but I've seen it, lived it, and you haven't so I can't make someone who doesn't want to understand, understand. You see things as they should be projective to your area. Coming from up north it's easy to want to take the side of the Blacks in Alabama due to the way it is for them up there, truth be told I'd be the same way if I had only lived here in TX. It's just one of those things you have to see I suppose.

You're fighting a fight you have no experience for say in. It's really no different from high school rumors, the world around you says Alabama hates Blacks, despite it being littered with them, so it must be true. If you were to see two fellas having an argument on a street corner would you jump in and immediately, without any prior understanding of their quarrel, jump in and start calling one of them names and gettin' all "up in his grill"? I wouldn't think so, so why do it here?

No, it's still pretty valid of an excuse. Just because we have a black president doesn't mean racism against blacks is dead. There are still many, many racists(open or closeted[hint, hint, QCDN]). Ergo, there are still many, many racist employers.

I know a good number of successful Black people in Alabama, it can be done and is accomplished.

Yes, it's possible for blacks to succeed. It doesn't mean they don't face attrition in doing so simply because they are black.

Yes, that entirely hinges on THOSE LAZY BLACKS

, and probably not different state/county codes or company/union policies.

Jesus fucking Christ.

lol that guy's hilarious. I'd vote for him too.

Wait till Skaw sees that ad....

Why? Besides being a painful stereotype(Southern, Farmer, "cowboy," 30-30 rifle out of no where, republican,) he didn't say anything wrong. Politicians are inept, and he's riding a platform about being anti-inept. It's not like he openly came out and said "People are different from me, and they should leave this state." While he's pandering to the good ol' country boy crowd, at least thats bounds above pandering to the xenophobic and the racist directly.

If you honestly can't tell the difference between the two campaign ads, you might be a bit touched.

People might agree with you more often if you didn't spend so much time putting down other people's opinions at the same time you're pushing yours down everyone's throat.

With that said, I'm not going to get in an argument with you every time you get butt hurt when you don't like what someone says.

What has this got to do with the farmers campaign ad and me seeing it? If you're going to say something, back it up or don't post it.

Umm... could Alabama have anything to do with it? So far in this thread you've commented on everything from immigrants, to whites only and lazy blacks, to pandering to the xenophobic or racists or pandering to the good ol' country boy crowd and it's the same bullshit over and over again. You're obviously way too arrogant and naive to even realize that you're a bigger racist and xenophobe than the people you're talking about. There's more to life than just reading about it in textbooks or online.

This of course is only my opinion, but there's a big difference between what's mentioned above and the content of the ad. Skaw may have had a lot to say about what's stated above (in the quote), but it's understandable that he doesn't have a problem with the above ad since it's for the most part really not controversial and/or borderline racism/bigotry. I really wish you guys would stop egging him on, this thread had the potential to be an interesting debate but instead turned into something entirely different.

I wasn't trying to make a point when I said Skaw should see that campaign ad but I did know that he would give his high and mighty opinion about the tone of it and he didn't disappoint. Saying that if I can't honestly tell the difference between the two campaign ads when I didn't make a comparison in the first place, just confirms what I said earlier about him trying to slam people at the same time he forces his opinion down your throat.

Where the hell did that rifle come from?

That was hilarious! Where do I send the check to support his campaign?

To Shaw: You don't like the guy who wants people to actually be able to read the English language when they drive BUT the cowboy whose knocking the, "illegals who bust in by the thousands" that doesn't bother you?

What do you think he's gonna do with that rifle if he catches illegals on his property in the middle of the night? Seems a little hypocritical to me...

Yeah, I suppose it may. I guess I just wish this thread had taken a different direction, despite whether or not there were people pushing it a certain a way.

Yeah, what made it funnier is he busts it out at the exact moment he says "republican". Funny guy, I wonder if it's his aim to appear that way. I also like how he times/arranges the camera angles to be all in your face.

What the fuck dude? You baited me by calling me out, and then said I didn't disappoint about giving my opinion? You are seriously retarded. Here's a tip: If you don't want someone to contribute, don't say you want to hear what they have to say.

Being Illegal and not speaking English/being of foreign lineage are two entirely different things. But yes, illegal immigration* I have a problem with. What language someone speaks I don't. I can't fathom how they're the same issue, but whatever bro. Also I never said I liked the guy, just that his campaign ad isn't blatantly attacking people for being different.

*In the sense that I think we need immigration reform and make it easier to allow normal people to immigrate here, and not require you to either have a ton of money, or know someone really important.

I didn't bait you dude, you did that all on your own. Calling you out? Yeah maybe.

I think Tomasello was trying to call you out as well on your first comment to me about the 2nd campaign ad where you said the guy said nothing wrong. It does kind of go against a lot of the crap you've been spouting in this thread and the racial profiling thread. One minute you do, the next minute you don't depending on the comments and the situation. Make up your fucking mind.

I think I'm done here. I've made my point how butt hurt you get when someone calls your card.

No, you definitely fucking baited when you posted asking what I was going to say. What the hell did you think was going to happen?

Except I explained the difference. If you're too retarded to pick up on it, I don't know what else to tell you man. When you finally get out of middle school, maybe you'll have the cognitive process to catch on.

You've been done here. You haven't even posted anything relative to the topic in days, only shitposting and baiting.

Maybe he'll say "butt hurt" again. I feel like I'm in 2006.

On topic to avoid the delete button: I live in PA, where there are not a significant amount of foreigners around, but there are plenty of elderly...and those motherfuckers can't be any better. It's not that they can't read English, it's that they can't read AT ALL. Which leads me to an interesting point actually; What about the illiterate? What about the dyslexic? What about said elderly? Is this lynch mob taking their licenses away too?

I would hope that if I decided to go live in a non-English speaking country, I would still retain my permission to drive on the count that I can recognize basic shapes and symbols, but I wouldn't expect them to give my a driving test in my native language just because I was from another country.

I guess maybe I did use that one too many times but if the shoe fits...

There are some countries in Europe that will allow you to drive there without having to take any additional tests or exams if you have a U.S. drivers license but I think if you decide to become a permanent resident there, then you'll have to be licensed in that country.

That's enough, try to reel it back on topic otherwise the thread will be closed.
