I think the main point the OP was trying to make was that because BLM are needed so much in endgame, it's a strange double-bind we're in for exp. As in... we lose the exp and then we can't get the exp back. The only job that's comparable to exp loss in endgame are Paladins, who have it worse than BLMs for getting exp.
I'm not saying I necissarily agree with the assertion that because my BLM might lose exp doing whatever activity it means I'm owed exp invites by the general community(owed by LS members maybe), but I do think the idea that making the concept of exping for a BLM very unpleasant does decrease the likelyhood that a BLM is going to want to participlate in any endgame activity where they'll lose it.
(Unfortunately Paladins are such a low demand job: They will put up with it, while BLM people try and get as many as possible so are more likely to jet.)
Of course, to a endgame person, the only BLM you're going to care about are the ones in your LS, but hte way to get parties generally is to seek and play with the greater community. I think internally if for example I did with an LS something like Gallard Trouser NMs all day, something where BLM can really have to sacrifice their bodies to get a melee equipment, and then the melee immediately went and did a melee burn while I was seeking to get my exp back, I'd be somewhat unhappy about it. But that's a specific case, not general case.
