Metal Gear Solid 4 - Official Thread

Rumor has it that MGO will go live at 6:00(est) TODAY! (Sunday)

IGN board peeps are saying that since other countries will hit Midnight before the US, that fellow players that live in the USA/Canada time zone will be able to play at 6 est.

I will post a linnk as soon as my PC is loaded up.

Whenever I try to log into my Konami ID (already registered) and/or retreive account info I get this error. What can I do to fix this so I can download in time for beta launch?

On your PS3 go to Account Management, Transaction Management, Redeem PLAYSTATION Network code > enter code.

Any word if it was playable at 6 EST?

Also Clo- I got your message but I deleted it by accident so whatever it was either resend it or post here :P

I just tried getting into the game. Still can't get in. I was hoping we would be able to get on at 11 like people in Europe were able to. Maybe at midnight...

Anyone else having luck?

where is the beta download? Its not in the store for me.

You have to do it through Account Management and redeem the code I gave you.

The US Beta release has been pushed back to a date TBA. They will announce the new date on the 22nd according to the site. You disappoint me Konami.

I hope they don't push it back too far. I am not sure when I'll have internet access again after mid May.

We would like to thank all players for their keen interest in taking part in the beta test.
However, we regret to inform you that due to extraordinary levels of traffic from all around the globe, we have been unable to run the service to the level we expected.
As a temporary measure, we will be deferring the European public beta test and start it once we stabilize our server.
We would like to apologize for all inconveniences as well as confusion caused.

We would like to add that due to the above reasons, we will be making the following changes to the schedule:
1) Start date: Planned for 04/25/2008 24:00(PDT). While the start is planned for the weekend, it may change due to unforseen circumstances.
3) Beta Test closure: This will now be on 05/11/2008 at 24:00(PDT) rather than 05/05/2008 at 24:00(PDT)

IMPORTANT: Please note that your voucher code will only be valid up until 05/05/2008, so please make sure to register them by then.

Enough said :(
