IGN UK gave MGS4 9.9/10
because the UK fails and gave it a 9.5 for lasting appeal, even though they said that you will play it over and over again for unlockables, etc, they did not even bring up MGO in the review at all

Be glad they did not mention MGO or the review would take a hit lol... We can be glad for MGS4, as it is pretty much going to be a good game. MGO on the other hand is only going to really be loved by fanatics of the series like you. It was a terrible experience for the average person...
Well next time I try MGO it will be after I've beaten the single player, at which point I will probably have a better handle on the game engine and controls itself. As for the multiplayer, I don't remember what game we were talking about, maybe it was The Darkness, but I remember you thinking before that a shitty online is still better than nothing, saying it adds hours to the game's value. Me on the other hand would rather just play COD4 or Warhawk but am overall indifferent.
Not saying MGO is for sure a shitty online experience, but I'm giving MGO more of a benefit of the doubt than a normal game. If it wasn't Metal Gear I'd probably just not play it again and not give it another thought, but I can't shake expectations.
