Metal Gear Solid 4 - Official Thread

Thats what I might be thinking.. could they still die by being in the area of it exploding even though they're knocked out already?
 
Yeah, even if a guy is knocked out, he can still be killed.
 
I got through first act for BBE in 53 minutes and then noticed that I had 1 health item used. Turns out, when I thought back, that the second gekko in the first sequence jumped on me and I was surprised that I lived. I failed to notice that my Ration was automatically equipped and automatically used.

So yay for redoing act 1.

I'm back to Frogs at the moment, but I'm 7 minutes faster than I was before, so I'm semi-happy.

When I think about it, act 1 is actually pretty easy. I'm now able to go through the entire sequence from beginning to Frogs with ease. I guess practice makes perfect.

Anyone else download the MGS4 Database off of PSN? It's pretty nifty
 
Geez this game got me to break down and buy a subwoofer.

Edit: Yeah I d/l'd the Database. It is very nice imo.
 
The flashbacks from Shadow Moses and the voice overs and everything were pretty well done. I think the best part was the Sniper Wolf area and Otacon voice overs while you are running around the area.
 
Finished Act 1 again, got 0 kills this time. Must've either been collateral damage via a stryker blowing up, or when you battle against the FROGs with Meryl, shooting one with a tranq while they're on the ceiling or wall out of bad habit and it's the drop that kills em
 
Not bad for a single console release
 
Just finished MGS 4.

I got "Hawk" as a title as well as Panther, Pig (lol) and some other ones.

BEST ENDING EVER!

Which brings up the question, will there be a Metal Gear Solid 5?

My answer: After that ending I bloody well hope not, MGS4 ended perfectly.
 
The database is amazing. Answers some question that not even MGS4 answered like what happened to Raiden for him to have the exoskeleton etc.

The Relation Charts are made of win, as is the timeline. The whole thing is made of win.
 
There may be another metal gear, but metal gear SOLID wouldn't work considering that implies snake is going to be a part of the plot.

It's said all over the place, even on the game's box, this is snake's last game. If you've played the game you also know that this is without a doubt his last game.
 
if there is a 5, it'd be a prequel, ryan payton dood said that there's plenty left to work out for Big Boss :P
 
Metal Gear 5 should be the original games remade where Snake goes up against Big Boss and Grey Fox in Outer Heaven and Zanzibar.
