Theyre friends, thats the only reason Forrest even spoke to him because he has turned down every attempt by other media personnel to try and talk to him, so the guy was half assed joking with him as well.

I always seem to enjoy WEC cards no matter who is fighting. Ben Henderson has some crazy resistance to submissions, good night for fights.

That Henderson Cerrone fight was FotY material

Machida and I'm gonna go big ben just from an experience stand point, but i could see that one goin either way. Machida over Rua no doubt though, Rua was tanked in the coleman fight, barely made it through round 3, and honestly imo got a lucky punch on old chuck, who sadly was old and on a down hill slope anyway.

I wann see vintage Rua so bad though, i cant just put him away just yet. I want the underdog to win but i love Machida too.

Rothwell vs. Velasquez. Well i feel Big Ben just has one chance at winning, and that is taking out Cain early and quickly. I dont think Rothwell has a chance if the fight goes the distance, Velasquez loves to wear out opponents and he can take any punch.

Dude, Machida suited up for the press conference lol, so bad ass.

WAR SHOGUN!!!!!!!! I really hope we get to see the Shogun that was the Pride GP Champ. If that Shogun comes out to bang I feel that we are in for one hell of a fight. I don't like Cain at all so I'm pulling for Big Ben.

I'm really stoked for November 7th. That card on CBS is stacked and the best part is its free!

thats why you dont let it go to the judges.

Exactly.

I've seen challengers I've been routing for get robbed because judges do not want to give the belt on decision.

My stance; if you're challenging for a title, you need to beat the champ, not just beat him up.

E- I have to admit, Machida did not deserve to retain his belt, however, I'm personally glad he did.

If you lost points for throwing punches that were not blocked, but essentially evaded than Shogun would have lost.

God damn Cain kicked rothwells ass. I judged that one wrong, cains a fuckin beast. Disappointed in the Machida fight, I like Rua but Machida is still my favorite fighter, i just wish it wouldn't have gone to decision. Machida was to relaxed I think or something, he just didnt seem to be as quick and wasn't evading like he usually does getting caught alot.

That's because Shogun pushed him harder than he has ever been pushed in a fight and I think Shogun is faster than Machida and this was the first fight where Machida didn't have the speed advantage over his opponent. Shogun also found Lyoto's rhythm early in the fight while I don't think Lyoto was able to fight Shogun's rhythm until the 5th round if ever.

Cecil Peoples(One of the judges) said:
"First of all what you need to understand is that from where the judges are sitting, we get to see things that the fans at home may miss. Mauricio Rua was being aggressive but it wasn't effective aggressiveness which is what we as the judges look for when scoring a fight. The way I saw it, Lyoto was landing the more cleaner and damaging strikes throughout the fight - if you take a look at the judging criteria clean strikes are valued more-so than the quantity of strikes landed. Although Rua threw a lot of low kicks they were not as damaging as Lyotos diverse attack in the earlier rounds which is why I scored the first three rounds for Machida. You have to keep in mind we always the favour the fighter who is trying to finish the fight, and leg kicks certainly don't do that."

"When both fighters are engaged in a striking match what I always look for is the fighter who is being judicious, picking his spots, being accurate and landing the cleaner strikes which ultimately is what Lyoto did more effectively than Rua. Lyoto made Shogun come after him, he determined where the fight took place which in my opinion constitutes as effective Octagon control. I recognize the fact that Rua did have a few takedown attempts during the course of the fight however Lyoto defended them all successfully which counts as effective grappling in his favour, where as ununsuccessful takedown attempts are not scored at all. Therefore going by that criteria, I believe Lyoto won the fight clearly. I'm just glad the other judges on the panel saw it the same way and I'm sure the fans who understand the technicalities of the sport agree with the decision too."

What the fuck is this shit? Shogun landed more shots and inflicted much more damage than Lyoto did.

How the fuck did Lyoto have octagon control while he was backpedaling and running from Shogun?

Shogun blocked most of Lyoto's attacks and also landed more clear shots.

Blocking takedowns isn't considered effective grappling its considered effective octagon control, but two takedown attempts shouldn't be enough to make up for Lyoto running for most of the fight.

What kind of a retard doesn't think leg kicks finish fights? Has he ever seen Cro Cop? Lyoto didn't rock Shogun at all and during the flurry that Lyoto finally went after Shogun, shogun blocked most of Lyoto's shots and landed a hard right that sent Lyoto into Shogun.

Fucking retard shouldn't be able to judge or ref anymore MMA fights.
