This did not compare to UFC100, im very disappointed in Griffin. There is no excuse for getting knocked down 3 times in under 3 minutes. I want to see Griffin Vs. GSP or Hendo again. There is also talk that Dana White might force Silva to fight Machida which would be interesting.

I want to know why the hell Griffin ran off after the fight? Embarrasment?

I think he was highly disappointed and visibly upset, so to save a bit of face? You wouldn't really want to see another broken down Forest.

Kenny was visibly upset as well. But seeing as they both had left I was wondering if perhaps they're not looking to have the match losers stick around after the announcement. I doubt that though.

Florian congratulated Penn and they hugged and what not, he also put on his sponsor's shirt/hat. Forrest got up and ran as soon as he was knocked out, and ran out of the Octagon looking just fine. Regardless im extremely disappointed. I wont be getting 102 though, too many grandpas

Apparantly he broke his jaw and dislocated it and was unable to hear from one ear.

Shit eh. The hearing thing would have been pretty freaky.

Also, by the way Silva was acting/what he was saying after the fight, you think what Dana said has sunk in lol.

Damn for those who watch WEC, Torres just got fucked up!

/hangs her head

I'm ashamed.. and disappointed.

First 3 fights were uneventful. The third with Hendricks and Amir was stopped pre-maturely. Not that that went unnoticed. Why would the ref call it when he could barely see? He had not got himself in a clear point of view to really gauge the landed punches. I can understand it looked vicious from behind.. but he was behind!

Forest and Silva /sigh. I again got irritated with Silvas dance, I find it mocking and cocky, just makes me want to see him get poked reeeal good. Silva, the man sees everything in slow motion I swear to christ! He's so god damned accurate and although he doesn't have 'heavy hands' he does know how to transfer his energy into the pinpoint precision pokes.. blah. I wanted Forest to take him and really thought he would. I'll have to keep my eye out, Forest may have developed a bit of a glass jaw ; ;

Penn and Mr. Kenny Flo, Kenny is a tough guy, he's a bit of a scrapper and very well rounded. Pretty tough. I TOLD him Penn was going to set the pace and he didn't listen >< They should give me a live feed for crying out loud! More fights would be won by my choosen fighters lol

Penn caught him in a textbook fucking choke. Kicking his sides like Joe said getting him to defend dropping his arms, boo. Textbook, and he shouldn't have fallen for it.

I want my money back rofl. Seriously I'm not happy with the out come. Not that the main events were poor, they just didn't turn out the way I wanted.
i was so busy ID'ing people that i didn't see much of the first 3 or so fights. But the Silva VS. Griffin fight was my favorite of the night. And morch i'll buy that idea about this guy seeing things in slow motion. It was like watching a fight out of the movies the way he dodges. You werent the only one that was pissed about that fight. half the bar thinks griffin threw the fight or something. i think they were just in shock.

I'm not going to lie, that thought crossed my mind, but each time he scrambled to his feet again made me think he was in it to survive/fight. It was a huge disappointment. Much like he had said, someone's got to beat him and I was really banking on Forest to be the one. But he was sloppy, he should have known better. Yeah he's a scrapper, but it's not like he hasn't noticed how dead accurate Silva is.

I swear when I watch Silva fight it's like seeing freakin Neo from the Matrix, everything in slow motion. It's gross awesome. If that makes sense..

i see what you are saying. that Silva didn't even have his guard up the second half of the fight. and half the time he was helping griffin to his feet after he knocked him down. i had to keep putting my eyes back in my head from the shock of what i was seeing.

This is part of why he irritated me. Because of his bs attitude the last couple fights I took his outstretched hand as another cocky advance. He's a great fighter, in a league of his own really, but he HAS to start giving other fighters the respect they deserve or when he does get put down it may very well be brutal.

FYI Forrest mouth is fine and he hears like a gem these comments where put to rest by his camp. He was just mainly fustrated and embarrassed I was upset that he did that but looking at the fight over and over that's just Forrest if you read his book he will be upset for the first 3 or 4 hours, but after that he's is okay.

And further more would you stick around and shake hands with a guy that
#1 made you look bad not just bad but awful
#2 taunted you and made unsportman like gestures during your fight
#3 is a good fighter but really a douche

I wouldn't either Anderson Silva doesn't start being considerate or respectful till after the fight and he fuels his competitors to react out of that feeling of being insulted.

I mean it's like have Nate or Nick Diaz in the ring with you cause even after the fight those guys still hate you and will talk smack in this case Anderson trys to be positive after that the only difference.

He is the best though no mistake in that but I support Forrest on his walk out you want respect earn it.

how much does Carwin weigh? lol

*edit*

just did a bit of browsing and it looks like we're finally going to see an even match up. same height, same weight, a MMA specialist against a grappler. this should be very interesting. provided Brock is the weight he's listed at. currently UFC.com has him at 265 & Carwin is at 262.

The only way I see Carwin winning this is if he keeps it standing. Both Carwin and Lesnar come from wrestling backgrounds, but Lesnar was a D1 national champ while Carwin was a D2 national champ. Carwin needs to work on his take down defense and work for a quick knockout before the fight gets taken to the ground.

Brock weighs in at 260'ish but fights 285-290 <_<
and that is exactly my point. he makes sure that he has a distinctive size advantage over his opponents. this is why most people i know that come to watch the UFC pay-per-views at my bar do not respect him as a MMA fighter. There is no denying that Brock is a talented athlete, but he continues to ride his size in the UFC. should he fight against an MMA specialist equal to him in size, not one that he outweighs by 40-50 lbs, he wouldn't be anywhere near as dominating.

Thats like saying Jerome Bettis was totally overrated, i mean he just rode his size to the endzone....

Sorry who?

that can be said for nearly anyone on the steelers & ravens defense, cause they do. i don't know what they feed the people they get, but those 2 teams seem to get the biggest def linemen in the league, they have some BIG dudes. And that is something of a prereg if you wanna be a lineman, isn't it. you gotta know how to block but you aint blocking a guy that dwarfs you. you are at a distinct disadvantage, just like all of brocks opponents thus far.

Too bad Jerome Bettis was a Running back....

Edit: Also, Brock wasnt born huge, he had to work for that body and put on the weight, just like anyone else can. No ones forcing them to fight at a lower weight.
