More Sony Mishaps

So the game goes from $70-$80 to of $500-$800, for a single fucking game. That'd be sheer brilliance if it wasn't so retarded how can people still think sony will dominate the market with stupid decisions like this?

hahahahaha omfg, Did one of the people at sony just hit their head or somethin? are they infuckingsane?

Sony makes me cry nowadays, everytime I hear Sony mentioned in anything I know it'll be something stupid and idiotic. I want FFXIII, MGS4, DMC4 and Resistance to all go to 360 now, then I won't ever have to pick up a ps3.

*yawn*
10cents for a car or track? I'll take it. You'll note that the purchased cars are for the Online mode only, thus you dont need to pay for them. The offline additions are likely to be free.

Besides, now you can take more pride in your vehicle and not have to worry about peopel Gamesharking cars like they do in offline mode.

$0.50 to $1.00 for each car, $2.00-$5.00 per track, it's not a lot for a specific car, but it adds up to a huge amount of money. Even in online mode, they just spend the same $0.50-$1.00 that you did, still no real pride in the car when you just buy it.

sooo they are releasing the game around launch with only 30 cars in premium mode...and you buy the rest online? Sounds to me like they aren't done with the game and they are just trying to cover their asses.
EDIT: Ah i see, it's not GT5. Awesome.

If they're downloaded and stored onto your PS3 hard drive (didn't read the article, I'm disowning sony and jumping on the Wii bandwagon... Atleast till prices on their shit drop) then could we see people bootlegging their stuff that you have to pay for? I mean, their console is gonna get hacked and shit changed around and exploited, it's just a matter of time.

Quote for the win. I'm officially editing my post on the PS3 and getting a 360. Fuck you Sony. (Thank you for the PS2 though...)

No one is going to be forced to buy anything. If you see a car you like, then spend 50 cents and pick it up. If you're not interested in a new track, then don't spend the 2 dollars.

It was the same thing when Halo 2 released its new maps. If you wanted them, you paid. If not, it didn't really matter, because there were always people to play with.

And I'm sure you won't just be able to buy any car, there will probably be some pre-req to unlock it.

Remember though, this ISN'T Gran Turismo 5, it's Gran Turismo HD. Chances are this game will flop though, the whole pricing system seems foolish IMO, but chances are if you just want a few cars and tracks, it shouldn't cost too much. Dunno how many cars people usually used in the older GT's, but my garages usually had only 6-8 cars, the rest just sat there to look nice.

Whichever way, what's the point in getting this when you know GT5 will come out later? I think that's how most people will react.

Like I've always said, PS3 are making a huge misstake on their system. Wii seem to be by far the best gaming system this time around, both cost-wise and performance-wise. While graphics might not be as good as PS3, I'm sure as hell not going to fork out $700 for the console itself, and another $100 per game.

Ok to be completly fair here, I didn't see a price to actually buy the game. It could be a 20 dollar in store buy then you pick what you want at home....

... wow what a shitty idea. They can't just put the game together and sell it? Anyone who plays GT wants that huge variety of cars! Nickle and diming us for every unlock? This only solidifys my standing that PS3 will flop. I knew it from the begining and everything Sony has done since E3 has cast it in stone.

Never has a gaming console dissapoint it's consumers before it's release like this.

Now i'm not getting Playstation 3 unless it gets a game that made a loud noise like FFVII did. And at this point i don't want it to.

Gran Turismo is the best at what it does. But paying $375.00 to fully unlock the game is very dissapointing in comparrison to the values given to us in the earlier packages, and this is over what ? Better graphics, which is probably running under the same software used to make the cars tick in the earlier versions of the game.

Nintendo was right when they said the battle between horsepower was over. Ofcaorse this all has to do with sales.

The PS3 could be capable of mashing Nintendo, providing the game engine itself has more tricks and capabilities to prouduce more geometry, plus given the right game developers. But no, the budget is too high meaning games will take longer to make and they will sell for more, and the developers will go running to Nintendo so they can make more titles and more money and eventually end up with a better resume.

The ps3 is not going to flop. It's expensive, and Sony is making many 'less than ideal' decisions, but come release, all the ps3's will be gone, and there will be people wanting more.

I think Sony has gotten a bad rap lately, but they have brought it all on themselves. When all is said and done, Sony will take it like they did with the ps2.

Maybe. My PS2 came in a package deal with a game, a memory card, and an extra controller for $750.00 on day 3 of it's release. I was lucky to be able to convince the guys at EB games the guys that reserved the PS2 are kids that can't afford it, so just sell it to me, and they did.

Aside from that, these systems tends to be damn expensive upon it's release, and to be able to have one right off the shelf during the premiere release is still gonna be insane for the PS3. More insane than advertized. I think more people will wait before they buy a PS3, while Nintendo is booming, and the price of the PS3 will go down really slow.

I'm really liking Sony's rape you up the ass with no reach around policy. I think its going to work out well for them.

I agree, its going to be near impossible to get one at release. I'm not buying one until the price drops or something beyond amazing comes out.

The reason I think the ps3 is going to be the winner longterm is the fact that everyone loves the playstation. When the 360 hits in Japan, its going to tank. The ps3 is going to explode both in Japan and in America. People will get past the bad press and the ridiculous price eventually.

EDIT - Wow, totally read that wrong lol Thought you said PS3 will flop in Japan. lol
