morrigan's robe on quetz.

HA HA HA HA HA... you jack ass, Rdms Chainspell Stun DL. The other bosses meh. 4% MAB is no justification from taking the Robe from a BLM tool. Go back to fairy land noob. Unless I'm fighting Maat or CoP Snoll. Both of which I can't use Morrigan robe anyway, I am RARELY if EVER Chainspell nuking anything. Anything worth Chainspell nuking is better off being Chainspell Stunned and letting the BLMS go to town.

Your a bigger ass then your ninja lotting moron friend.

YOU rarely ever chainspell nuke because you don't know what your 2H is. On my dynamis LS we always have a rdm CS nuke the first Xarcabard extension, thats one of the many ways to use it wisely. Who gives a shit about Maat or Cop ? Everyone does this fight once only .. From your post i see that those were the only times you actually used it the way it should.

Anyway the points is ... Having good nuking gear is cool for rdm's 2H. But i never said that the Mab was the reason to give it to rdm. It's good for rdm because it's a full time gear. Period.

Also stop insulting me please.

Even with CS stun, few LS can can kill it. I mean, i don't see many people with shadow mantles ...

I have a shadow mantle and with CS Stun we kill DL with relative ease. If I wasted chainspell on the first Xarcabard extension like your LS's RDMs apparently do then I guess we wouldn't be able to kill DL either.

It's good for RDM for nuking gear (which is situational, not full-time), and to save on macro swaps for other stuff. As I already mentioned, RDM *can* have their cake and eat it too (for auto-refresh most of the time and mage stats at the moment they're applicable) with macro swaps, without this item.

As for the usefulness of Chainspell nukes, you'd have to use it pretty much right at the beginning of a Xarc run in order for it to be up again for DL (and if you get to DL extra quick, you'd even have to sit on your thumbs waiting for Chainspell to be back up). And I don't recall that first time extension (the one which I always remember by the three BSTs' wyverns which like to chomp on me) being particularly problematic. (Nor do I quite see how Chainspell would make it much easier, and besides, those demons *can* drop AF2 so you might as well get some farming done on your way.)

If you mean the second time extension (the one with the big crowd of eyes), that can be handled in a really short time without Chainspell *either* - sac puller aggros the eyes there to spawn them all, two vokers get the two initial eyes, they get killed, statue gets pulled and killed before train gets back.

Either way I'm not really seeing your argument.

Which proves that you don't even know how dynamis works. 2H lasts ... 2 Hours. if u use it at start ... it's ready at the end.

Your LS kill it with ease lol ? All your members have a rong/mantel ? Cos if it's that easy, i hope you go for it every week.

No i mean the first .. the one at entrance.

Well limiting it to auto-refresh actually tips the scales more in favor of BLU than RDM, since Morrigan's is auto-refresh with melee stats, which is useful to BLU far more than it is to RDM. (And the fact remains that RDM has an alternative body-only auto-refresh option, while BLU does not.)

Whereas BLU's melee ability drops if meleeing in a Vermy (again reiterating that they *have* to lose the head slot with anything besides Morrigan's), and if they want melee stats then they can't wear an auto-refresh piece.

Basically, both jobs can have their cake and eat it too with Morrigan's, but RDM can also have their cake and eat it too *without* Morrigan's, while BLU cannot.

And thus why I push for Dalmy's to be RDM#1. You can't use Salvage as the end-all be-all source of all gear, just like you can't from any other facet of this game. The shell that will benefit the MOST from this is one who assigns it appropriately to people who have the best alternate gear available. Saying RDM should have priority because of the option of Camping Nid/Aspid repeatedly to get the dalmy is piss poor. This is another option, but for a shell to benefit the most from it, you apply it to who does not have other options and who receives the greatest benefit from it.

I suppose... Like I said I'm a BLU noob and the thought did not occur to me that BLUs needed Auto-Refresh as much as RDMs or BLUs. Most BLUs I party with, not that there's been that many, seem to manage there MP very well even without Refresh. Though I refresh them anyway out of habit. If that's the case and only cause there's no viable alternate then ya. I suppose BLU > RDM > BLM. Like I said, I wasn't married to the idea I just needed to be convinced.

All your members have a ring/mantel?

Yes we all do, we've been tossing them lately cause there's no one left to hold one.

In seriousness yes I think between the first extension and DL we do get there in less then 2 hours... We're doing it tonight so I'll let you know if it not under 2 hours its pretty damn close.

Well, BLUs will basically use their MP as fast as it comes back due to varying sources of Refresh (assuming they're not given any opportunity to rest between mobs, which is generally the case at 75).

The more they get back, the more often they can cast, and the more damage they deal. If they're not getting it back fast at all, then they just don't cast as often. "Keeping MP up" isn't really a concern, because if they *don't* use their MP, it doesn't tend to have the nasty consequences of, say, a paladin or a healer not using MP. It just cuts down on their damage output (visibly but not entirely; they do still have melee and WS after all) to have less refresh, but it doesn't hamstring them and make them useless.

dynamis xarcabard lasts 3:30 hours u have time to use yur 2h twice.

Just because a rdm hasn't spent the countless hours to obtain a dalmy does not mean they should jump up the order for a refresh piece thats marginally, if at all better then current gear available to them.
So you saying this should go to blu because rdm get dalmatica? You kidding right. That would be like saying thf should get strider boots over rng, because rng can wear crimson. With this body a rdm would not ever have to place anything else in that slot (except af2 body for shadows and af+1 for resting.) Trading 2 int/mnd for 1 tic is a very reasonable loss. Your reply would be that we can switch body but guess what so can blu to royal cloak; and switching out you will be lossing a tic or 2 and with rdm we gear swap alot.

why would a rdm need str acc and atk, because when shadow tanking most of the slots are filled with haste and enm+ gear, and /war would be alot of phy down gear along with enm+ gear. If you are able to hit mob you will generate better longer hate, and while 8str and 5acc/atk won't do much, it is still the best tank/solo/exp/hnm body a rdm can wear. Blu can not say they can replace all there bodys with this 1 piece rdm can. Leaving the dalmatica for the blm and brds.

I hope you use rdm 2H for other stuff than stunning Dynamis Lord. Even with CS stun, few LS can can kill it. I mean, i don't see many people with shadow mantles ...
there are many things a rdm CS can do, suzaku, diabolos, ks 99, ect, ect... even with that it is hard fight due to many things can go wrong like rdm miss stuning or not enough dd to be able to kill it in the allocated time of the stuns.

From what I have heard courtney is a great RDM I'm not trying to nock her. Most red mages still use it because they are lazy. It is still only the best peice for nuking. I know plenty about not having enough space I have nin/whm/smn/bst/brd gear and 94 cloth. My comments were more for hellstorm because most RDM aren't like courtney.
ha I have better gear then 90% of rdms only things im missing are dalmatica, af2 hat(been trying for 2 years dam thing just wont drop), and crimson mail, and of course salvage items with those my gear will be complete.

O,o o,O O,o o,O O,o o,O

Why do you WASTE chain spell...? Don't you realize a Ranger can one shot that extension with Barrage?

That is the most unwise use of Chainspell that I've read.

If you're referring to the Statue Prototype (I think?) surrounded by eyes who circle it; that can be one shot without aggro.

Areya has proven to us 2948273948 times of how EASY that extension is. Gogo RNG!

So you saying this should go to blu because rdm get dalmatica? You kidding right. That would be like saying thf should get strider boots over rng, because rng can wear crimson.

Not quite, because RDM is the best choice to receive a Dalmatica in its own right, but RNG is *not* the best choice to receive W.Legs in its own right. Furthermore, like it or not, Dalmaticas are far more common than Morrigans.

As I said before, RDM can get pretty much full effectiveness between mage stats (which only kick in for an instant, at the time any given spell goes off) even when swapping gears. Wear Dalmatica all the time except when you need another body piece for a buff (mainly Stoneskin) or debuff, and then macro in that other body piece for only a second or two for when the spell goes off, and then put the Dalmatica back on and go back to regenerating MP.

Melee stats, however, are like auto-refresh - you want them to be in place more or less all the time, not just at specific moments. So no, it's not equivalent to say that BLU can equip swap. A BLU who doesn't melee and only does damage with their spells could do that, I agree - and maybe for specific endgame situations that's more viable. But for the vast majority of things BLUs do, they're meleeing too. For the vast majority of things RDMs do, they're not.

RDMs are better off with Morrigan's for nuking, and they can use it to avoid *hassling* their equipment, but they *can* both get magely stats at the time of debuffs, and get auto-refresh when standing around, without this. BLUs *cannot* get both auto-refresh and good melee stats when standing around (meleeing), without this. That is the distinction. If you can't understand that, please stay out of this discussion.

why would a rdm need str acc and atk, because when shadow tanking most of the slots are filled with haste and enm+ gear, and /war would be alot of phy down gear along with enm+ gear.

It's good for solo yes, and I would not have any qualms about giving a Morrigans to a skilled solo RDM with a lot of good solo gear (Avesta's the easy example), over a BLU. However, most RDMs solo just to mess around and don't really do much with that solo and don't have *other* good gear to really pimp out their solo effectiveness. So it would be a waste to give them *this* for solo effectiveness when they don't have other stuff.

Exp, Dalmatica's equivalent to this (hint: RDMs don't need the world's awesomest debuffs for exp, and indeed you probably don't have the MP to do much more than Dia 2/3 anyway unless you drag another mage along to pick up your slack). In fact, without AF2 hat even a Vermy is honestly equivalent although you'd need some more clever macros to swap your AF hat in and out real quick at the beginning of any spell where you cared about its fast cast.

HNM, this has no -enmity to avoid pulling hate, and it has no +skill to land stuff on more resistant mobs. Dalmatica shouldn't have been a full-time HNM piece for RDMs before Salvage came out, and Morrigans isn't a full-time HNM piece for RDMs now. And as already mentioned, in cases that *do* call for auto-refresh plus an INT/MND body (as opposed to, say, AF body and its enfeebling skill), Dalmatica and Errant/Crimson and some clever macros can accomplish that just as well.

Tanking, I can't comment on, because I never really understood how RDMs could get hate when tanking to begin with. (I can understand how they can avoid bleeding hate, what with Phalanx Stoneskin Utsu/Blink, but I never did quite get how they got it in the first place.)

So no, RDM can't replace all their bodies with this one piece. It's a convenient combination and an inventory saver but it's not really anything they couldn't have accomplished before.

Oh and, lol at the bit about Dalmatica and BLMs.

EDIT:

ha I have better gear then 90% of rdms only things im missing are dalmatica, af2 hat(been trying for 2 years dam thing just wont drop), and crimson mail, and of course salvage items with those my gear will be complete.

So is there any particular reason you like to wear Chasuble everywhere if you're so wonderfully pimped out? I mean, I find it hard to believe this claim when a level 58 AF-wearing RDM, or a level 72 el-cheapo-Errant-wearing RDM (between those two body pieces, that would be most RDMs on the server) has a better body piece than you do.

Why would RDm's 2H be a waste and not RNG's lol ? I never said extension was hard too. You need to kill it quick, thats why a rdm's 2H can do it.

Uh.

Barrage isn't the Ranger Two Hour.

Barrage is a 5 or 10 minute ability.

Phail Moar.

Yes, sorry. Still i don't see why chaisnspell is a waste ..

In dire situations, Chainspell —» Raise = Time saver.

Also, what don't you understand about "ONE SHOT"?

Those stones do not resist physical damage like city stones. Sorry dude, but using Chainspell for that extension is also a waste of time.

Ok another ppl that doesnt know what rdm's 2H is

Chainspell RAise ? LOL no comment. You guys are pretty inventive as for how rdm's 2H can be used .. What's next ? Chainspell Head butt o;O ?

"One Shot" ? As rdm you 3 shot them.

Waste of time ? Takes 3 secons to kill, 1 second per Nuke.

It's a waste of time to use a 2-hour ability to do what a 5-minute ability can do, is it not?
