Is it still considered in bad taste to have multiple end-game linkshells? If so, what harm does it do to the community to have players in multiple shells? This subject came up within a conversation I had with a friend of mine. Ouside of maintaining a level of "privacy" with ToDs, we could not honestly come up with a solid reason having multiple end-game shells was bad. I've noticed during my time in "end-game" that most shells tend to focus on different things. Some place a higher focus on sky, others on land, some a small mix of each, etc. Over time I'd even go as far as to say that the majority of my own social circle is scattered amongst various shells.
Prior to reaching "end-game" I often organized events between several different social shells and it often worked out well. Mainly because those who were involved either needed to do the task or found the task enjoyable. I'd compare limit breaks, missions, and artifact quests to be much like what the majority of end-game content is now. (And, no, I don't mean how AF and limit break is done in the present... but in the past when the majority of players were not level 75 and exceptionally powerful.)
My curiousity has stemmed due to multiple reasons, however the main one is wondering if we holding ourselves back as server community with "Linkshell onry" practices. I've seen where it has worked well, but at the same time.. I've also seen where it has disabled being able to accomplish other things.
