I have watched a couple teasers and I'm left with my mouth watering. I haven't the foggiest what to expect with Modern Warfare 2.. other than Russians.

After my disappointment with WaW I'm impatiently waiting on MW2.

Has anyone seen anything more descriptive on this release?


(I couldn't find a thread dedicated to a MW2 discussion)
 
mw2 will be 10 times better since IW has taken back the title. waw was a debacle after treyarch got their hands on it
 
Newest Game Informer magazine has a 9 page preview on MW2.

Storywise: it's going to pick up after the events of MW1, where a new guy named Makarov is rising up, making Zakhaev (the guy you unsuccessfully sniped, but killed in the final mission) out to be a martyr, while using his death as an excuse to seize power. "Soap" Mactavish is promoted to Captain, and will be a commanding officer to the new person you play will as in the newly formed Task Force 141 unit. Levels will span from high snowy mountains filled with snowmobile chases to dusty, seemingly deserted Afghan deserts, to shaken up villages in Central America. Also, included in MW2 that was not in MW1 are civilians in certain levels - make sure what you shoot at is shooting at you first.

Multiplayer: going to be what we know and love right now, with an added mode called Special Forces. It's supposed to be something along the lines of Rainbow Six Vegas' Terrorist Hunts - which if it is, I have high expectations for. As for additional modes, more is to be revealed.

Graphic wise: going to be an improvement on the COD4 engine, with fully rendered areas no matter how far away a hillside or cliff may be.

It's going to be a big hit, and I look forward to XYA wiping the floor with anyone who is daring enough to challenge us. :)

It has some rumored information and speculation. Has anyone else noticed if the CoD title was actually dropped from it? The last time I checked the website it had no Call of Duty title and most places are not usin' the CoD title, only Modern Warfare 2. That'd be win in my book, Treyarch can keep their shitty old school wars.

Though i agree for the most part with that comment about shitty old wars... Treyarchs next CoD is in Vietnam... That game will be made of win. I expect Treyarch has learned from their shitty clone version of CoD and will clone something in Vietnam to perfection..

If MW2 has a mode we can compare to terrorist hunt i am worried... Will i ever be able to stop playing that mode..

I'm really looking forward to MW2.

Strid, I have only seen it referred to as MW2, CoD I'm pretty sure has been dropped.
 
About a month ago Infinty Ward announced they will no longer be making COD games hence the reason they dropped COD from the title.

This game is going to be crazy. IW made there own engine for this game.

I was watching some show on tv this passed week and it said MW2 was going to have a world release commercial for the game either this week or next week during the show. When it finally comes back to me what it was and when I will let everyone know or if anyone else saw this they can let everyone know.

Just remembered. I was watching the Bos/Orl game on TNT. It will premiere during the Eastern Conference finals on TNT May 24.

This again Cheebs? Really? REALLY? What was the last thing you said as the match ended when XYA faced off.. I believe it was... "I have never been butt hurt that badly" Something like that..

Its ok... Maybe its time for you to drop that flag and join XYA anyways.. If you cant beat us, join us? :p

Really? REALLY? Your memory is that good is it? lol, you also forget, many of my clan members have been playing with a few of you for a long time now, you... and us... we know each others secrets! Which may be our downfall >.> That and the fact that we haven't played a clan match since I dropped the ball, too many fucking boys to schedule, babysit... eegads I didn't have the patience.

It's not like I said we'd wipe the shit off the bottoms of our shoes with XYA.. now did I? I just said we'd be up for it, and if we got pwned well, big deal, you still know there will be times where I pwn you in reg game play.

That's good enough for me. Jereme on the other hand.,.. tell that boy he needs to practice more.. it's almost shameful how diminished his game play has become!!

BC could be XYA one day... but I don't think I could put up with you guys enough to be in the same clan <3
 
Cheebs my K/D still does and always will crush yours. On top of that the last time you played with me I couldn't even sprint my controller was so fucked up.

Yea mine was messed too for a long while, I was cursing up a storm not being able to sprint.. til I switched controllers lol.

My k/d is destroyed from all the messing around I've done. It would still probably suck in comparison. But when I'm on my game, I'm on.

I took bronzi on in a 1v1, it was close, I came back with the match set to 9 lives, but he had to take off his Turtle Beach.. bitches crush me when they use that crap.. I have NO chance.
 
I use surround sound. My K/D would have been better but when it first came out I was on a mission to hit 10th prestige so I played a lot solo when no one was on. 5 Moron team mates screws K/D.

Yep. We get that anyway, if you only run with 3 the same shit happens. You guys need to jump back on more often. Put the CoD2 down Jer, and Osi put everything else down lol.

Eleib.. well he'll at least still play from time to time.

I like riding the top of the scoreboard when I happen to be in with KC.. for obvious reasons lol.
 
They been playing a lot of Halo lately so I picked up COD2 since I hadn't played it. I should beat it tonight.

The trailer came on during the NBA game the other day. From what that trailer had in it there seems to be more of an action flick feeling to this game. dont know if its good or bad yet lol.

I saw it last night on the dashboard. Looked like.. well modern warfare lol.

Yea I can see the whole Action Movie angle, but all in all being it's supposed to be Modern Warfare, it was pretty much what I expected to see. I hope they release little 'online' vids soon enough.
 
It looks good :P I want an assault mode! (like Assault from Unreal Tournament games)
