Hi, guys. I just wanted to air you in some of my personal life (if you care..if not that's cool.) Yesterday some mad drama happened between my mother and I. She was given the impression she was going to be watching my child this morning, when we had already planned for my inlaws to watch her while me and the wife were at work.
Long story short..she flipped. She went to my place of work, and while I was processing a return with a customer she grabbed me by my nametag and said "I need to talk to you." I told her, "Mom..I need you to leave. We can deal with this when I get off. I am at work right now." She didn't appreciate that too much, so she was on a mission to get me fired. She left the store and told me she would see me in court. (She was speaking of Grandparent Visitation rights.) I apologize to my patrons I currently have in the store whom witness this and wished them all a good day.
I go to the admin office to get some paperwork done (process returns, etc.) and I am aware my mother is in the store again. She asks one of my associates where I was at and making a big scene; a customer asks her if she could take it somewhere else (I heard from a co-worker anyway) and she tells the guy "Fuck you. Get out of my business!".
My supervisor calls 911 to get someone to the store, because she felt threatened and wanted to make sure something was done to remove her from the store; it's not good for business and also puts the staff and customers at a risk. Anyway, while she is on the phone with 911 my mom comes up to the phone, yanks the phone jack out of the phone and calls her names. Supervisor calls the police back and are inroute to the store. Mom shortly leaves the store before the phone call is completed, and she drives off.
Cops show up, have me and the supervisor give testimonies and I point out I have video footage of the incident. They view it and are concerned with the fact of the phone being disconnected while being on the phone with someone from 911; which is a felony in the state of Florida.
This morning, I get a call from the deputy who told me she was arrested this morning on a $5,000 bond.
Now, a part of me feels bad for this whole deal and a part of me is glad she got what she did because I feel she needs to realize what she did was against the law and not acceptable.
The police have told her when she arrested that it wasn't me that got her arrested; the state was pressing charges on her for tampering with a witness. However, I am constantly getting harassed via MySpace and text messages from that side of the family blaming me for the arrest.
So I leave you with this:
How is it MY fault someone broke the law and got arrested?
