Screw Naruto, I want to know how Sasuke will react, declaring he'll wipe out Konoha and getting beat to it. Will he whine about not getting his way again?

Konoha rebuilds for the 20th time in the series. Only this time, it takes a lot longer than a few days. I really don't think this is the final arc. If anything, I'd say this is the halfway point of Part 2. We still have Kabutomaru running around. Sasuke and Hawk. 8 Tails roaming. The Kage Summit and how that pans out. Pain and Konans defeat, which I hope is a Naruto and Sakura tag team, and not two one on one fights. Madaras defeat. And finally, Naruto becoming Hokage at some point in time during/at the end of the manga.

Would this be considered a massive wipe?
 
It'd depends on exactly what the frog summoned. I'm willing to bet it's a large majority of Konoha residents.

Ah, yeah, that makes sense. I'm with you though, I hope it's a Naruto-Sakura tag team as well.

I doubt it, really doubt it. To have Naruto to train in the Sage arts just to come back to use it all once is very, very unlikely. I don't thing the game will be over until Naruto is declared Hokage and is sendin' Kono and the now teens out on their missions and Konoha has rebuilt and gotten even better. You don't just kill your bread and butter and the story of Naruto is definitely Kishi's.

There are also a lot of things we haven't seen. Most importantly what Itachi gave to Naruto in case King Emo came lookin' for trouble. I see Emo commin' in to find Konoha in ruin and gettin' that, "what the hell have I been doin' all this time" feelin'. Lost of things to draw off of her but if that happens Konoha will have come full circle with how it began. At least I figure they'll make AT LEAST one arc with Naruto holdin' the Hokage title, if not the whole story was pointless.

Edit:

Another big stone left unturned, we haven't seen much action from Madara yet either. They had to introduce him for more than a fire for Saus' Konoha hatred.

I don't know. It would still fit the pattern of Naruto learning a new ability only to use it once and then never seeing it again. lol. Think about it.

But yeah, I don't see this as a final arc unless it's going to be one looooong arc. I too hope to see Naruto as Hokage someday. The final arc would be cool if it was a jump ahead into the furture of Konoha. Would be interesting to see and reflect on everyone's status.

I thought about that but I don't see that bein' the case. Sage isn't really an ability as it is a state of bein'. I dunno, I think it's much to large-a-scale achievement to be another one timer. It's also not harmful to the body, well, in his case anyway. I also think his new technique will flesh out even more. The whole episode, despite watchin' the anime, when Tsunade declared it forbidden unless in a dire situation, I kept waitin' for him to say, "Okay then, I'll learn to throw the damn thing." Then again, it could also be the case in endin' it all... He could need to use it to save everyone, do so, and loose everything he worked for. They'd give him the honorary title of Hokage but more like Hokage for a day, if you catch my drift. That'd sure piss the lot of us off and probably get Kishi killed too boot.

To be honest, I keep seeing people say Naruto will become Hokage at the end of the series and I'm not entirely sure of that. Obviously, I do see it heading that way, but I see it ending a little differently. I imagine one of two things: A) Naruto becomes Hokage for a short time and dies saving Sasuke like he said only for Sasuke to take his place as Hokage and fulfill Naruto's dreams. B) Skip the first part entirely; Naruto dies before becoming Hokage, Sasuke realizes his mistakes due to Naruto and then saves Konoha before becoming the Hokage to fulfill his dreams.

Perhaps, I am totally wrong, but a good part of me cannot see Naruto in a serious position of power. Sure, I can imagine him as the strongest in the nation, but having the ability to lead a nation and give orders? Yah... not so much.

Also, I want to see a bit more back story on Madara and his connection with the nine-tails. Sure, I can guess what happened, but knowing exactly how it played out would be nice.

Yah, but that's because it seems from my experience on this site that most NA hate Sasuke, but isn't he usually voted the second most popular character? And I think someone or something mentioned Kishi's favorite is Sasuke too.
 
I don't hate Sasuke, I just think he's less interesting then Naruto and Kakashi.

And Sasuke isn't the most popular. Kakashi and Naruto are constanly topping the polls in NA and JP.

Also, Sasuke to me is a very cliche character. He's just an ok character in my book
 
Lavi, I don't see how that'll happen AT ALL. It's no one's wish or dream for Sasuke to be Hokage O.o he just wants to SAVE Sasuke from his emo tardness, which is impossible, so Sasuke should just die.

Rather horribly might I add. They should give Sasuke a worse death than Hidan and Kakuzu combined.
