yeah it was ok, although I knew kakashi was going to rip his eye off using mangekyu I didnt know exactly how, interesting technique I'm fairly suprised Itachi never used it vs Kakashi the first time they fought in Konoha but then again Itachi didnt want to attract attention and at first wanted to abduct kakashi.

Looked like Deidara was out of new tricks to begin with he shined as a character in his fight with Gaara, Gaara left him gimped with one arm to fight two people off with and then he lost that, kinda amazing he could still move and dodge Team Gai for so long afterwards.
 
better episode of shippuuden than last week's :P some parts were boringly drawn out x.x and I think they screwed up the two tailed look a bit (though that smile was creepy/interesting). Ah well

I guess it was to make Naruto look more like the Kyubi after each transformation or as he matures. But yeah, it was really creepy O_O

Probably one of the coolest parts though, if not too brief. I mean, even if the only thing he did was go all Kyubi-mode, and punch a tree. Then he punched the stump Kakashi was standing on. Had my hopes up for a minute there :(. Interesting to see Kakashi's Mangekyu though... the real-world application of it is certainly interesting. Seemed like he was going for Deidara's head the whole time, but ended up severing his arm. That in itself was pretty funny.

Curious though, at the end there, wtf happened to Deidara? It seemed like he made himself explode by eating some of his clay and focusing his chakra into it. Somehow I figure he survived, though.

that was a clay clone that exploded

kakashi was aiming for deidara's heart but could not hold the concentration and had to settle for his arm
 
Ah, ok. Figured as much. I'm assuming that Chiyo is going to use her reincarnation technique on Gaara, then die. Seems pretty predictable in that respect.

pain is the black haired emo kid named "nagato"

he possesses an eye technique called "rinnegan", regarded as the strongest of the 3 great doujutsu (byakugan, sharingan, rinnegan)

the "hermit of the six paths" who is known as the founder of shinobi (meaning, he developed most if not all of the common modern jutsu and many other techniques), had this doujutsu

rinnegan translates to something like "transmigration of the soul"

Ok, serious now, This'll mean alot more trouble for Naruto if he faces Nagato in the end.

OK, so anyone wanna have a crack at what possible future story arcs there may be?

The way I see it is:

Current: Jiraiya invasion of Kirigakure/Death (Please let me be wrong)

Next: Sasuke vs Itachi (Finally)

After that: Naruto vs Sasuke Round 2 (Naruto catches up to Sasuke as he looks onto Itachi's corpse)

Sasuke's return to Konoha (Sasuke is defeated but not killed)

Attack of Root (This will show the betrayal of Sai, but who will he betray?)

Aftermath of Root (Unsure on how it will go just yet)

Final Attack of Akatsuki (The team is gonna be caught off guard and KO'd, Naruto dragged off)

Rescue Naruto Part 1 (The extraction of the Kyubi begins, but due to the power of the Kyubi, it will take much longer than 3 days to fully extract)

Rescue Naruto part 2 (Kisame vs Suigetsu, Sasuke vs Tobi, Sakura vs Konan, Multiple Jonin attempt to find the place where Naruto is being held, Karin uses her abilities to find Pein's whereabouts, and Naruto)

Rescue Naruto Part 3 (The remaining members of Akatsuki (Except Tobi who is still fighting Tobi) are defeated and the other ninja of Konoha disrupt the extraction of the Kyubi, as this happens, Naruto wakes up and still retains some of the Kyubi's powers. Naruto vs Pein. Sasuke vs Tobi continues.)

Final Battle against Akatsuki (Naruto brings Pein to the verge of death, Pein calls for help from Tobi, Tobi knocks out Sasuke and gets to Pein, Naruto and Kakashi vs Pein and Tobi. Naruto kills Pein after a long tough battle, Tobi is defeated and revealed as Obito (We all know it!) and thanks Kakashi for defeating him, before he dies.)

Release of the Bijuu (With the death of Pein, the Fūin jutsu that seals the Bijuu collapses and the Bijuu are released. The ninja must defeat them all once and for all. Naruto faces off against the extracted power of the Kyubi. The Bijuu are all defeated.)

Aftermath/Epilogue (The team returns home, battered and bruised, but alive. 10 years later, Sasuke begins the rebuild of the Uchiha clan, Sakura trains more Medical Ninjas, the other ninja of the Konoha 11 become Jonin/ANBU, and Naruto becomes Hokage.)

Ok, thats all I could think of that could possibly continue the series for about... oh.. another year or two?

Anyone else wanna have a crack at this? =)

Could always include a Jerry Springer arc for filler~

"Sakura gets pregnant and does not know which shinobi is the father! Who is it?! We'll find out in this 9 month filler!"

Seems fitting timewise for filler content. :D
 
so fucking sick of filler anime should be shorter like samurai champloo to keep interest
 
this isn't filler, this is very important plot information about people we've known nothing about for YEARS

Kishimoto wants to finish the manga in 500 chapters, he's said that plenty of times

we're nearing it, but we aren't really close yet.

flashbacks, flashbacks, flashbacks!

we see the development of nagato konan and yahiko, whom is globally assumed at this point to be juugo.

as stated earlier, nagato/pain has the "rinnegan" which is some hardcore elite godlike doujutsu sharingan elite level +327 etc

at the end of the chapter pain shows up to jiraya and konan fighting in the present time
 
This fight is going to be fucking epic. I cannot wait to see Jiraiya just go all out. I would be really fucking pissed if they kill him off though. Hopefully that won't be the case.
