Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm

Gonna give this a rent for sure, but i agree they really need to move on to shippuuden already.
 
Gonna buy it definitely. Been playing the Narultimate series since they first came out, and this is the best looking naruto game to date. I'd kill for some new content and not the same story I've played in 15 other games though.
 
Wow that actually looks pretty good. I will totally get it if there's a way to switch from English to Japanese dubbing. The NA voice actors do a good job and all, but I've watched about 98% of Naruto and Shippuuden in Japanese and I just can't quite get used to the NA voices.

You can, even on the demo you can swap to the Japanese voice track. I wouldn't even own a PS3 if this game only allowed for English voices. Despite the game bein' tons of fun I wouldn't be able to get over the damn annoyin' voices.

As far as Shippudden games go, I wished they'd hurry up and move on as well. Unfortunatly we still have a while to wait. I think Cartoon Network is only up to the filler episode where Shino and Naruto go to some town for a farce funeral and can't laugh (Shino gets ownd with laughin' poison). The English manga, I think Sakura just now killed Sasori. I'm not sure what the game creators go off of but we could be in for a long wait.

I agree though. Hell, I'd even like them to just give some of the filler gameplay. I think it would own to be able to fight as Sumaru's mom (Hidden Village of the Star filler). Her moves would have to look badass.

However, if you look at this game for more than story it's definitely goin' to deliver. I love what they've done to this series in terms of Versus mode play, which is all I care about.

Is this PS3 only? It does look pretty cool, and it also looks better than the 360 version that came out. I think they go by which episode Naruto is on as more people might watch the Anime rather than read the Manga. I do like the whole 3 ninja team thing that is going on, I also like how they did a triple team attack, which looked awesome.

The 360 one finished just as you killed Shuukaku(sp?) the one tail, this looks like it goes on a bit ahead of that though with Tsunade making an appearance. I think it starts off at Chuunin Exams?

This one goes up to the Sasuke-Naruto fight, to my understanding.

They can't come out with a Shippuden game until America is at the Shippuden series. They won't get the same money from a station for syndication if the game is out prior to the show. Business states TV Show > Game. Don't hold your breath on the shippuden game for a while.

If you've played the demo you've noticed how simple the game is and how limited your special moves are, however the last trailer I posted showed (:56-:59) Naruto usin' a clone to make a Fūma Shuriken, maybe they'll be more than one special and one ultimate for character.

I'm ..well okay, not completely surprised no ones said anything about this game since it's release, what with Fallout 3 and Resistance 2 out around the same time as well.

Anywho, I picked up the collectors edition version of this game tonight. Popped it in the system and spent the first 45 mins just running around the hidden leaf village (enjoying every simple second of it), then realized how the missions work. I still haven't quite figured out how the mission xp works. I still have 0. The only thing I can do mission wise is fight Kakashi.. and whoop his ass too I might add.

There's suppose to be hidden scroll around the village that I can find. But I haven't found a single one. I have found a crapton of money though, but no scrolls. *scratches head* I don't know what I'm missing.. but I can't seem to find the damn things.

This game looks amazing. I love how well it's been translated to 3D while still feeling like the 2D anime. And thank god I can switch the voices to Japanese, though I do wish the subtitles were a slight bit bigger.

Haha, well I've sorta kinda got this down now. The scrolls didn't appear until after one of the story missions, and I guess more appear in other areas after each story mission thereafter.

Also found out how the mission exp works, you get mission exp from the low rank missions (D rank) which so far have just been normal occurrences. You beat one by taking X amount of steps, you get another just by having 2 hours of playtime and another one by breaking X amount of objects. Pretty basic, but they award you with mission exp which lets you progress farther on the actual story missions or "flashback" missions as they call them. I'm having quite a bit of fun with this game so far.

I'm assuming you also get mission exp by completing all different ranks of missions. Since once I completed a D rank mission it unlocked a C rank mission of the same exact mission only with the X amount of (insert mission objectives that I stated earlier, here) is noticeably increased.

What does the collector's edition have over the normal edition?
