NBA

Aaah that whole team is like that though. Him and Duncan must get together and come up with new acts to pull on other players lol.

Lebron though has taken it to another level. Two games ago, he got bumped and flew to the ground and rolled around for a couple minutes haha. It was special.

I dunno, the Pierce fake-knee injury, get carried into a wheelchair off the court, then come back half a quarter later to fire up the crowd and subsequently drop back-to-back 3s in the finals last year is pretty tough to beat, lol.

Whle the Lakers are such an improved team from a bench and health stand point... There is a huge new advantage to the Celtics this year... I called it between my friends and family early last year, that i believe Rondo is going to be some incredible star... And WTF. This kid is almost, most improved player of the year award deserving.. I am just so impressed with his grit and finess, the two words usually dont go together well but this kid is special. My friends agree with me that it is no longer the big three and a little kid as point. Rondo has taken the spotlight on the Celtics for me and i watch their games for him. Did you see him embarras Steve Nash the other night??? It was almost as bad as Bynum embarrasing Duncan last night.

Rondo is the man, for sure, but the Celtics really need to pick up a nice veteran bench player to compliment the starters and help make up for the depth we lack. PJ Brown and James Posey are going to be missed big time in the playoffs.

Celtics D has looked good the last 8 games, but I agree if they don't get bench help, they will have problems.

I also agree here... In my previous post i didnt mean to ignore the bench. Its just i am amazed at Rondo's improvement. He was a weakness last year. He is a strength now.

Yeah, you're definitely right about that.

and the lakers.. lol

I dont think it hurts them like last year... But sure it hurts the team. Bynum is a fantastic player. The Laker bench is the deepest bench in the NBA this year. With that said, maybe they can handle this situation just fine until Bynum comes back. Now to miss him during a Finals like last year would just be a killer...

Without Bynum, the Lakers go into Boston and sweep the regular season series from them.

Regular season doesn't mean much, but it was a good game. The foul on KG that fouled him out was absolutely ridiculous though. Also, Kobe takes some HORRIBLE fuckin shots with Pierce all over him down the stretch... He gets in this "me me me" modes when he just won't give it up. Pierce does the same thing sometimes, it drives me nuts. He did it a few times last night.

It's true, but all stars do it though. It just stands out more when Kobe does it because of prior seasons. Defending Kobe though, he used to get the "me me" attitude because he couldn't trust his horrible team mates. I mean seriously, other then last year, Kobe has had no help, and I think people are starting to realize that and him shooting so much was done for a reason. Last year, the first year without Shaq that Kobe actually had help, he played team ball.

Kobe does take some god awful shots, and it's usually against great defense though. One thing, Kobe was only 10-29, which is terrible, BUT he knocked down the big shots when it mattered. Also...lakers were 17-29 on FT....that game should have never went into OT truthfully.

With that said, I think the Celtics are still a tad better then my Lakers, and the only way we could stand a chance against them is if Bynum is healthy and aggressive in the playoffs. Really whoever gets home court in the East will make it all the way. If the Cavs get it, then they will probably go, same for the Celtics.

Not all the stars do it, but the "scoring" stars definitely do. Kobe's 3 3s in a row with Pierce all over him were sick as hell, but he hardly knocked down the big shots when it counted, he had two shots to win the game at the end of regulation that he threw up completely smothered for some inexplicable reason... The free throw point is true though, the Lakers were abysmal from the charity stripe.

As for the Cavs, unfortunately, I think they'll beat the Celtics whether or not they get home court, they just seem to be the team to beat this year.

I'm still not sure the Cav's are better in a 7 game series. The Celtics need to make a move to replace Rondo when he goes out for a break, that imo is their biggest weakness.

On the Kobe thing, he's still the best closer in the league. Anyone would take him for the 4th qt a lone. That is where the majority of his scoring comes from. He's smart, he gets his team involved for the whole game, then turns it on with a snap of a finger once the opposing team has keyed on Odom, Gasol, etc.

No way man.. I think you got it completely backwards. I love Kobe the first 3 quarters, playing a team game, getting his teammates involved, but still scoring. In the 4th he just takes the ball and puts up some ugly ass shot every time he touches it. I don't want him to pretend to play team ball but when the money's on the line try to play 1v5, that's just moronic.

...wha?

You have it backwards. I'm telling you in the 4th qt kobe leads all scorers. Last year he lead all players in the 4th qt. This year he won't and only because he only plays 36 mins a game. If he averaged more like Lebron, im sure he would be putting up similar numbers. Over the last three years, he's turned into the biggest clutch player in the league and it's well known that he has a killer instinct for closing games. Yes, his field% drops in the 4th sometimes because in some games he plays very long minutes, but nonetheless, he still hits big shots in the 4th. Against the Celtics, His three pointers gave them the lead. Look up the last three years...Kobe leads all scorers in the 2nd half.

Oh and the lakers won again for an amazing road trip.

And im shocked the Celtics lost today. That team confuses me sometimes. Do they lose games when Rondo goes to the bench?

Rondo going to the bench isn't the C's biggest issue, it's KG, Perkins, and Pierce going to the bench. They don't have any sort of legitimate back up for those three, really.

Again, you're totally missing the point on Kobe. Sure, if you look at his 4th Q scoring it's going to be much higher, I never said he didn't score a lot in the 4th Q, it's the fact that he doesn't give up the fuckin ball in the last 6 minutes. When the ball touches his hands, he's going to put it up, guarded or not. That's NOT a good quality dude, as a matter of fact, that's exactly what was wrong with the league in the post-Jordan years, everyone wanted to shoot, no one wanted to pass. Btw, Lebron is only playing 1 min more per game than Kobe this year, not a huge disparity, really.

Good road trip for the Lakers though.

I would take Kobe over everyone else in the fourth as well. While i do understand you Shyrra... The times Kobe will win you the game are far more then those times he forces all shots and cant make anything.

Did you see his shot over Lebron last night??... My god it was just so pretty.

I did not get to see the Celtic game but they are human and allowed to lose to one of the hottest teams at the moment.

Kobe plays a lot, so yeah he's going to have some off nights in the 4th. I've seen Kobe absolutely lose the game for them, but in a 82 game season, he wins way more then he loses. The new Kobe takes it easy in the first half, virtually making the opposing team sleep on him, then the 4th rolls around he lights it up, and by then it's too late for the other team to stop him. I can't count on my fingers this year alone how many times Kobe has scored 14+ in the 4th to help the Lakers come back and win.
