WORST POS ANIME OUT THERE. First 23 episodes were awesome last 3 completely destroyed what was to me a great anime. ive spoken my peace, if bleach ends like this someones gonna die.
 
Watch the movie End of Evangelion instead, it replaces the final episodes
 
They're also working on a new ending to come out this summer. They've failed the last 3 times to end the series lol.
 
The script writer was most likely on a Acid trip when he wrote the script heh...

I liked the endings.

Has the live action Evangelion been canned yet?
 
Didn't the studio lose it's budget for the last 2 episodes, and that's why the quality is so shitty. I remember End of Evangelion was suppose to be the true end of the series, along with Death & Rebirth being a recap and including the 2 episodes they wanted it to be originally. I wasn't a fan of how the series wrapped up though, even the writer has said it's suppose to be how the viewer interpets it, so basically theres no real solid conclusion, that pissed me off.
 
They have i think 2-3 new movies coming out that will be alternate endings or just alternate storylines to the whole series.
I really hope they come up with an ending that doesn't envolve the some sort of fucked up acid trip like they did with the series and movie.

Yup. Studio ran out of money, and they had to make a few quick stupid episodes to finish the run. Same thing happened with Hellsing, and quite a few other series.

I've only seen the normal episodes and the End of Evangelion. What was the third attempt?

Death and Rebirth was actualy suposed to be a stand alone ending to the series. It failed, lol.

What they are doing with all those "endings" is ruining the original series. I liked it when I saw the episodes in the 90's. Why keep doing it? Macross doesn't have multiple endings and it works.
 
ierno so now that im done with that any other good animes? ive seen kenshin, trigun, s.cryed, gundam wing (the original), bleach, naruto, dbz. gimme something to dl!
 
Yeah, that was the whole point of the anime thread.

I hated Neon Genesis Evangelion the first time I watched it because I didn't understand a damn thing from about 10 episodes in. When I watched it a second time(adult swim dubs), the series made more sense, but was still weird; I no longer hated it now that I had a clue what was happening. I think the subtitled version that I watched the first time had really shitty translations, which is why I couldn't follow anything. It's still not one of my favorites, but it's not horrible.

Oh, yeah I saw that. I forget what it had though. Wasn't it like the whole show in like 1 hr?
 
The movie they made is much better than Death/Rebirth. I love it though. Second fav behind Rurouni Kenshin.

I even named my pet hedgehog Shinji b/c of Eva. :D
 
Was anyone else weired out by Shinji rubbing one out to Asuka when she's in the hostiple bed?
I thought throughout the series he had a lot of issues and felt kinda sorry for him, but after that opening scene, he became that creepy guy.

He's always that creepy guy. Whats the first thing he does when he becomes god? goes back in time and watches Miasto and Kenji

Shinji was a very complex young man. That's what I loved about the Eva series. While it was giant robots & the OMGOSH END OF TEH WORLD series, it was also a basic character study.

I really liked how things developed. It's still my favorite anime series, but it took a long time to grow on me.
