hmmm.. maybe SE never intended for the game to be able to make 10k+ an hour in exp parties. I will admit, sure, I like them. I like them a lot. I was able to get over 50k in less than two days and flew from 74 to 75 with WHM. In a way it kinda feels like a spoil to be able to zip through a lvl, makes me feel like it did back in the 40's.
One of my best parties was in the dunes. Give or take the party was one monk and four ninjas and a white mage.. lol, we split into 2 seperate groups and started to chain tough-very tough crabs on the beach and goblins. The chains were nice as long as we stayed in the same relative area. You can still get good exp with out a full party if you're fighting the right stuff. Last week, I had a party of a few people on my samurai and we all went to highlands to chain gobs and quadav. It wasn't a bad party at all, and I had a lot of fun. We were getting chain four off of the goblins and quadav there since well... it's really hard to find people to party with in the dunes anymore it seems ;-;
Team work is really important. Every keeping a cool head and cooperating with one another I think is the key SE is trying to show. That is one of the reasons I left WoW after about two months. I really enjoy team work and I think it's way more fun than constantly soloing everything. I missed FFXI and the people. This was over a year ago so I'm not sure how much WoW changed since then.
I guess we'll see what happens
