I never really knew what happened, aside from the obvious removal of those members from the action entirely.


Plotline:

An entity known as Atomos (a remnant of the Emptiness left over from the Zilart and Promathia) opens a rift between the past and the present, allowing for certain intertemporal shifts. These shifts allow adventurers to travel between the past and present, and their actions in the past reflect the happenings and structure of the future?

The potential for story arc alone seems infinitely better than that of Aht Urhgan's.

Everyone keeps assuming that there will be three jobs added because that's what they did with RoZ and TAU. I could have sworn in one of the more recent interviews they specifically said two jobs were being added or maybe they just said something like "a couple." I'm too lazy to look it back up but maybe someone else who saw it will remember.

Dancer looks pretty good as long as they make it specialized. I think that's the main faults with the TAU jobs is that they made them too much jack of all trades/master of none to really compete with the older jobs. Even if they made the new jobs just different versions of existing ones it's better than trying to make some Frankenstein mixup of a couple of jobs resulting in something that doesn't work as well as either of the two original. I'd rather have Dancer be straight competition to bard as a buffer than have it be a job with weaker buffs but it has an A- in daggers so it melees like a thief but without SA, TA, TH, etc. that makes thief standout. Hopefully they have learned from the mistakes of these last three jobs and make these new ones either directly compete with the existing roles of original and RoZ jobs or give them something new that makes people want to fill a slot with them in exp or for events.

I also hope they make Dancer gender specific female only. Sorry but the whole novelty of dudes prancing around in subligar should have worn off years ago.

That would be kinda cool. Dancer for chicks is one job, and Batman for dudes is another job.

I can't wait for this expansion.
