I know that there are already some crazies who got new jobs to level 70+ since the expansion was released... Are any of these players using BLU, PUP, or COR in any type of endgame activity like HNMs or Dynamis? My high is only 61 so i dont know much about any of this and was just wondering...

Well I would assume that the Corsair would have a major role in Dynamis and HNMs because of Wild Card. Reset 2hrs, refill MP, fully heal everyone, instant 100tp, depending on which number of course.

Your 2hrs only resets if your wild card is a 6. 300TP is rolling a 3, Full MP is rolling a 4 and rolling a 5 is Full HP cure.

Rolls 1 and 2 just reset regular job abilities I THINK. I unlocked COR but havent really experimented.

EDIT: Who the hell would PL a new job to 75? What morons. You miss out on so many functions of the job. Not to mention your AF isnt even out yet.

COR will be very welcomed everywhere end game with rolls like Wizard Roll ( Magic Attack bonus), Evoker's Roll ( Refresh ). I really don't see BLU and PUP being very good end-game. I played around with some job combinations as COR during exp and found that Drachen Roll (DRG, Pet Magic Attack bonus, Pet magic acc+) was very good for a DDing SMN, so I can see that being very useful. Random Deal, a 20 minute JA that randomly restores one JA within area of effect seems useful, I always tend to save this for convert. Wild Card, CORs 2 hour can give anywhere from resetting 2 hours to restoring MP, giving TP and what ever roll you land on..it reset all JA timers ( Not 2 hour ).

PUP is very low end DD in exp parties anyways so I really can't see them useful on HNMs other than flashing the mob, but who is going to let a PUP into the alliance when you could just have another SMN or BLM.

I don't know if it's just the BLUs I have been during exp but I often see alot of BLU spells get resisted on exp mobs, so I wouldn't expect them to land it on a HNM. Then again, it just might be the crappy BLUs I have partied with.

You can just throw in any old job in Dynamis and it really dosn't make a difference. This is just from all my experence of course.

Rolling a 5 or 6 will reset 2 hours.

Haha, half the Head butts I see are resisted.

Sneak Attack guarentees a stun. Frypan stun I've only had resisted once.

Blu will probably have a place in Tank party. AoE Stoneskin and Magic Fruit, plus the multi-barrel stun gun ability.
COR could possibly replace BRD in BLM party, Refresh and mag attack bonus, or Mp heal up, or magic accuracy up.
PUP looks useless. Its the new DRG.

I'm hoping some AF will help with that.

As I understand things (I've yet to play the job myself), no mere set of equipment could possibly make Puppetmaster into anything worthwhile, right now, unless it had some obscene ability-altering effect. No ... the job requires some hardcore tuning up on the basic level.

It's not the "new DRG." Dragoon is simply perceived by all to be a last-choice DD. Puppetmaster doesn't even come close to that. It's very much the weakest job in the game at the moment. As I was sincerely looking forward to this job since the day it was announced, I find the whole situation to be very disappointing. T_T

The best possible saving grace I can imagine being implemented in the future would be a drastic increase in solo-ability, on par with BST.

It was made to be a necromancer of sorts. And, necromancers need many 'fine' tunings before they are ever useful, or, fair. D2's origional necromancer was hella strong...

The PUP job is at most, a third done with.

if you seriously see a most of a BLU's physical magic spells get resisted (aka. miss), then please kill them for me. They are the reason BLU is considered a bad job, and the reason its hard for me to get invites because most think it "sucks" -.-;

Last party I was in said I changed their view on BLU ; ;

Like Odon said, BLU is a very good Stun Gun.

Stuns can be resisted, but BLU has 5 Stun abilities that can be used back 2 back. There's plenty of time to stop Kirin's Stonega III...

^^

Sneak attack + Head butt stuns Kirin.

Need I say more?

Puppetmaster = Cait Sith.....
but they gave the gambling thing to Corsair....

I hope they do something for pup as well, but as a lvl 11 Taru pup, it still seems very strong at the low lvls. Maybe we just haven't figured out how to play it to it's potential yet. I dunno.

I take offense to that, Cait Sith is my fav char in FFVII(yes I know I'm crazy), and I hate PUP in this ;o

PUP has one use. To pretend their hand to hand is worthwhile 61+.

I really want to see how well a Magic Damage Blue Mage operates. It'll take a great deal of work, but from what I've seen Mamool Ja Blue Mages do with thier magic-based abilities, specifically Radiant Breath, I think they'd be behind BLM in magic damage.

C in hand-to-hand. A white mage has higher club skill. I am sure SE was really "thinking" when they came up with that genious idea. PUP caps at 225, a good 40-50 skill levels (1 skill = 1 acc +1 att) below the normal average melee and 25+ behind WHM club skill. Even Sushi can barely make up the difference(not really considering other melee would be using Sushi too), but even if it could, PUP doesn't get any of the good weapon skills that come from H2H. So far according everything I have read, PUP is a very weak job no matter how you chose to play it. And it's not because those people haven't tried, I am sure they have. The job just seems broken. Unless the AF far excedes all expectations which no AF really does, I doubt it will ever be that good of a job as it stands.
