New Jobs in End-game?

The problem is that there are too many DD classes which makes it harder to give each job traits that stand out hence the /thf Spinning slash light SC's

lol, /thf nerf would utterly destroy most melee's few uses at HNMs. Its bad enough we can't really melee on alot of the top HNMs or that we cant even use SA on wyrms without at least some risk of killing everyone.

Honestly nerfs are stupid, noone is happy when nerfs are given out. Always been for boosting other jobs, then people are happy and excited to some degree of the new boost their job got, instead of wanting to quit the game because their job isnt what it used to be.

Flawed logic, nerfing is a multi use too. Your point is proven wrong, because thief would in turn be boosted because of the /thief nerf. Also, S-E can leave thief alone and work on allowing melee different ways to make up for it. The worst thing we can do, and the thing we should hope s-e does not mimic in us, is a limited scope of thinking. I think nerfing /thf would be a great start. Then after most of the melee are crackled and broken, we can rebuild.. better, because their foundation is still sound.

this brings back things from the simpons when marge broke some driving laws and had to go retake her test

Police chief: we will break you down to babies, then will rebuild you into good citerzens then break you back down, have lunch and if got time put you back.

lol wonder if SE will do that

Maybe lol, but with all the "problems" people say there are, its always an arguably good option. No need to completly break them, just loosen the top work from the foundation, and help improve them. It's kind of hard to build a nice clean new building right on top of an old, nasty one while it's still completly standing. :P

What are you smoking? You are talking like melee need a nerf. Yea, them Sam/thf cannons are just breaking the game. Lets nerf them. Its bad enough melee cant actually melee the high end HNMs, now you think its a good idea to take the one of two things that makes us actually useful on them? Yea, good idea.

After we nerf /thf, lets make it so mobs get more TP from melee attacks, since obviously melee are broken.

Where's this /thf nerf rumor coming from? SE's had its sights on /nin for a long time, and has been wishy-washy on its position on Blms for ages, but a /thf nerf is news to me. Why? SE wants to buff two handed weapon users. SE wants to encourage warriors to use great axes. Nerfing /thf would mean warriors would be subbing ninja from 1-75 (not that most already don't...). Nerfing /thf would decimate the Dark Knight job, which is a job that's already lowest on the totem pole in popular oppinion (it's the new Drg). Granted, SE nerfed Thf in its effort to nerf Nin, but that was simply SE's shortsightedness, and not anti-thf malicious intent. If /thf got nerfed it wouldn't surprise me, but it would surprise me if SE intended to nerf /thf. The only way I see /thf getting nerfed is if SE tries to buff /thf. SE is oft well intended, but manages to screw up adjustments like nothing else. Collateral damage is a /thf's biggest fear, I say.

zoolander...I think this was possibly one of the best statements ever made. I couldn't agree more.:rtfm:

You know, people aren't always happy when rival jobs get boosted either. Talked to any whms lately about the R1 buff?

Going to ask the dumb and blunt question, but why should they care when they can do better than R1? Its not like we got R3 under our belts now or even Reraise.

Saves twice as much exp when you have to Chainspell>R1>Convert alliance or pt from a bad situation, any other raising job would need more time, to get mp up.

/end rant^_^;

People already were having RDMs main heal in merit parties, and now the cost of having a RDM main heal just went down a lot. Now, there isn't as much risk associated with inviting rdms or SMNs to parties.

I really didnt care about the R1 changes, it wont change the fact that a Whm = The best Healer job in the game period.

Great for smns that are forced to be the main healer in exp pts, and I for one love it for when the main heal in my cannon is a RDM, and for those HNM whipes/semiwhipes where chainspell raise is used, makes it a little less painful to announce ppl to take the chainspell raise. And no, I havent heard any whms upset about the raise change...

White mage is the best at casting cure, doesn't mean they're the best main healers in all situations. As a WHM I am not upset about the raise 1 boost but then as a BLM I'm not upset about the THF dagger boost, which if you're another DD who is not slightly less wanted cause Thfs are less gimpy in merit then you might feel that way.

But yes, if you're the kind of person who wants nerfs to balance then you by logical extention should be upset about raise 1 if you're a WHM.

And fyi: Brd and Rdm beats and has always beaten Whm and Brd or Rdm for merits and exp for the most part. The reasons WHMs get invites anyway fairly quickly is because Rdms and Brds are also the hardest job to find, so finding 2 is something of a pain, hence WHM is a gap filler.

I do think WHMs with the opinion that they are the very job for the position are somewhat misinformed, presumably cause they've not been in any merit parties where there was no WHM cause they're WHM.

Like a Paladin or Ninja who talks trash about the other tank job, they don't really know how the other one does.

TBH, as a samurai I'm slgihtly pissed about this absorb TP bull shit for DRKs. All samurai have going for the is mainly getting TP faster than anyone else. We don't get souleater or any job traits that give more attack. Just Meditate, lolthirdeye, and zanshin, the trait that is only good when you are a bad samurai to begin with. 1 minute rescast is too short. Granted this spell will be pretty much useless on HNMs since it can and likely will be resisted most of the time on them, but in exp, no reason they won't be able to get TP like mad with decent equip macros.

I don't think other melees are necessarily angry at the dagger boost, but maybe a little annoyed. Mandau is now the best DPS weapon in the game now iirc, and most likely by alot since it was already close to the top before. THFs have no excuse to be raped by nins and wars by double their %'s any more. Even the cheap daggers now have better DPS than most katanas and axes. However, with I guess this kinda makes up for the removal/lowering of the TP floor that nerfed THFs (and nins).

So wtf SE, gimme some nice shit for Sam and ninja >.> Screw giving my TP to others, I want more! Boost the DMG/Delay on my katanas! Make a new earring that is better than suppy. so I dont have to regret choosing Bushinomimi every time i gear up ninja!

So moral is...whms have nothing to complain about :P And Im bored as hell at work...3 hours with not one god damn person in the store. BUY SOME CINGULAR PHONES!!!!!
