More options are welcome, and this actually sounds decent.
At least they aren't making you pay $50 for it...
 
yay now all you gimps who should have never left the dunes but have been filling up merit pt spots for ages can go back to the dunes where you belong!

really though doesn't anyone else remember how crappy low lvl exp usually is compared to what a merit pt can do, and unless they change it so we can use all our merits at low lvls it wont be much diff.

actually this will be great for BCNMs having to keep lvl cap gear was such a pain, and for jobs like blm and pld which no one past lvl 60 seems to want to PT with anymore this might help a bit, or people may just start melee burning that much earlier.

Sure there are, I'm sure there are people who would love to be level 10 in a level 40 capped zone...

I think I love this update, yet I worry about getting a job as a lowbie still... what if everyone invited their 75 friends??

Still this update is just way too cool.

I don't think this is really meant for merit people. Its mostly for the low to mid level people who have trouble getting xp parties.

Also, I feel like you won't get skill ups if you are capped for your synced level just because that'll stop people from staying at certain level ranges forever if they have a really good camp.
 
From what I can tell, a few pieces which are extremely common items would become inferior to lower level items and even useless. Items like Walahra Turban which is used primarily for the 5% haste would be useless due to haste being negated entirely and that can be said about almost all haste items. I assume, to get the most people would actually attempt to buy a few items to at least maximize the experience since if you're helping a friend, you could be partying relatively often. If you're in a level cap zone, I wouldn't worry too much unless the gear is absolutely vital to the win, but for experience parties where you're trying to get the maximum exp/hr so you can minimize your time at low levels (assuming exp grind is slower than merits), it'd be best to get the most out of your gear.
 
This is awesome and terrible at the same time. It's awesome because... well, I don't think I really have to explain why it's awesome. It sucks because now everyone and their mom is going to bug me to xp with them when they can't find a healer. :/

Dunno that it ever stopped, not that I blame them. Even more will be /anon once it happens. This update is gonna be awesome though.

At least i dont have to worry about "Hey come help me lolwar"

So this means i can delevel BST and duo at a spot that was just kickin back in the lower levels
 
I can see this causing more problems for certain levels, as it wont increase the amount of tanks/healers looking for party, and how many people can honestly say they would rather cap there 75 job than get a merit party. sure, if you can find 6 friends who are willing to exp together it'll be good but i don't see it massively changing the lack of people partying at the moment (i literally did a /sea all 10-74 pld inv. the other day and got 3 results, 4~5 nins).
 
Now BRD's have even more of a reason to be /anon. Not only will they get spammed with merit party invites, they will get spammed with lvl 10-74 invites!

Well I know that I can always get some friends to help out or ls members and you can always just get a random melee job to tank with a pl if you can't find a tank. This new lvl sync might also encourage people to lvl tanking jobs.
