Observasion on: Rangers

I think everyone still playing rng feel that way about their job areya. I know thats why I like blm. (z0mg bandwagoner!!) I play mage jobs in pretty much every game I play, and I hate the fact that people might label me as a bandwagoner because people think its the "best" job. I started levelling blm at level 1 when i thought it was the shittiest job. I saw wars, thiefs and rdms, sometimes even whms soloing their way to dunes faster than me.

I think probably 90% of the population feels that way about their job. Sure there are bandwagoners, but no matter how many jobs get nerfed they will always be there. There is no point in pointing out which jobs you think they might be gearing up to play next.

Yes...it would be nice if SE would return RNG back to their original status. But that would just overflow the system with more RNG's probably not playing the job for the sake of the job but for the (ZOMGDD!!!).

Everyone plays a job for the (ZOMGSOMETHING) factor. Whether it is how much you cure, how hard you WS, what you can solo, and so on. That is why when you do something great it pops up in your LS chat, and everyone congratulates you.

I played RNG with a friends BRD and hit 67 quickly exploiting the power of RNGs from 55-67. those levels flew by just as fast as 35-50 and I had a good time. XP is boring to me. Id rather be killing something big or crafting to buy gear for all my melee jobs.

I hit 74 and had no plans of hitting 75 except that my Gods LS decided I deserved the Gods gear and had it in my inventory. I grinded to 75(prenerf) and got a 5k buffer. I deleveled a lot but never got more than 15k xp on my 75 RNG despite numerous Arrow burn invites I got.

With that being said, I was still in the main alliance for every fight because RNG still did the best against the mobs we fought, and it was still the DRKs WARs MNKs SAMs /telling me that they had TP after the patch.

RNG was only hurt (invite wise, or if an LS was stacked with 5+ RNGs) for XP. End game stayed the same. It never affected me because I only XPd after I deleveled or if we were camping Ulli.

I never played RNG for the love of the job or none of that corny shit, there is a list of jobs that I enjoy playing, and those are the ones I played (DRK, RNG, SAM, WAR, NIN) I like seeing big numbers when I hit my WS macro, it is fun for me. Post patch while leveling other jobs I saw plenty of RNG doing similar damage WS wise post patch, especially at lower levels, and playing with peeps like Magno, Ziegler, and some others I saw that there was still potential for the job i just needed gear adjustment. Since I rarely XPd RNG I stuck with Gods set up instead of going after other pieces.

The only thing that changed in my eyes after the patch was the xp per hour, 5-8k instead of 10k+, everything else didnàt matter to me.

Well I do not know much of this rng false hope you talk about, but rngs are no where near gimp the way they are. I think the fix (not nerf because to nerf a job would to kill it dragoon was a nerf) was a good thing. It made rng as the suppost to be Range users. I think it be nice to buff up there acc little more maybe give them new ability like snipper shot. The only thing id like to see is a dammage increse in EES.

Ive been in thf burns, rng burns, mnk bur, war burn, blm burn, drk burn, sammy burn. All them give large amount exp small amount time except drk burn but that might been because we did aqua weapons becasue other camps full.

On anouther note pere is great dynamis leader and runs shell supervely. He and the rest the leaders run the shell like it should be and if 1 cant make it others feel his/her shoes. Unity as a linkshell not relying on one person.

Pere does have 1 thing right IF ranger get there day in court and get a fix and people start bandwagonning back to rng they will nerf rng back to the great war era. If you look in the pass who got nerf it was the more popular jobs. With the rise of rdm, nin, blm nerf will prob soon follow:banghead3:

The people who think Dragoon is dead are fucking ignorant. The job is still a beast. Much versitality(that no one takes advantage of except a few people) good damage, excellent skillchain closers(SATA Wheeling Thrust, Wyvern Burst Breath.)

RNG is still incredibly useful, only the crybabies think otherwise.

let me rephrase that dragoon was bearly swimming before the fix allowing them to take pet out every 20 min instead of 2 hours. Drg are great soloers to. Though they are still hurting when it come to endgame.

Rng are very useful job, just ask them lonely rng that sit at zip camp all night (i feel for you)
There good aginst nms because they not in aoe range, and they still do alot of dmg.

I think the reputation of rng has been ruined by a few who lack of skills and play cheap. I got this rng in the party earlier today, basically just stand near the mob and meleeing, with occasional range attacks. Rng does not just play a puller role in the pt post nerf, we can deal dmg just as good as others if you know what you r doing.

1. find your sweet spot, shoot continuously at a distance and DO NOT MELEE.
2. /war if you know how to control the hate, the dmg output is much better with berserk on.

Agree.People build their opinions on a level 45 dragoon whose new to the game ... not right.Dragoon can pull out some sick DD numbers too if you just know what stats to put on.I still remember the time when some very skilled/experienced players told me war wasn't really a good DD... and then the whole war/nin cannon concept blew that out the window.
