Everything you said about crackdown in that post i find in infamous. Again, its not wrong really... Its just wrong when people rule out crackdown yet fully support this game.

These games are what they are.. And with any problem we can point at involving them, they are still fun. I am just saying crackdown is the birth of infamous and is not such a far step behind it.. They have their posatives.
 
Beat it, and I loved the last fight and ending. After the missions are over you can free roam the city. I'm very curious about the different plot paths, and wonder how many different branches there are... or if it's just 2 branches based on each choice until the next choice. I will definitely play again as evil but I don't see myself playing this game to try all the different plot combinations, so hopefully they'll be available online in HD.

Don't see myself going around collecting the rest of the dead drops or shards while there are other great games I need to play for real.
 
Currently nearing the end of my first run, I've collected all the dead drops, gonna try and get all the shards, then start evil on hard. God this game is fun!

Edit: Currently 280/350 Blast shards and 16/21 Stunts. On the final day I assume. Day 21.

I can't do that stupid air shot with the lightning blast and then landing with the box button technique thing >< bah...

Edit: The Blast Shards, do you have to do the evil option to get all 350?

I'm really enjoying this game. My biggest complaint though is that Cole is too fucking clingy. Like jesus dude, if it's grabable he fucking grabs it.

Really liking the story, aswell. I'm just about to go to the third island.

It takes some getting used to him clinging onto everything. 320/350 Blast Shards, started evil playthrough on Hard.
 
I imagine you don't keep shards and stunts done when you start a new game right? Trying to find all the last shards (314/350) and do the last 5 stunts (god damn they're annoying ><) before I finish on good.

I was wondering that too.

I've just gotten to the third island on my hero playthrough. I just recently got the 50% shard trophy, but I have no idea how many shards I've found, though I can't say I'm really going out of my way for them. If I see one pop up on my radar while I'm running somewhere, I'll grab it. If I'm close to another battery cell, I'll go hunting for them, but if I don't get the trophy, it isn't going to kill me. I think I've been pretty good about the dead drops, though. Those I want to find because they provide background.

That mission where you have to choose between the doctors and "trish" fucked me over. My fancy tv was being used by my brother and his friends, so I was playing on my shitty bedroom tv, and I couldn't tell which building was which. I accidentally went for Trish's building instead of the doctors' and got the evil trophy. Now I have to remember to do the good option on my evil playthrough. Super annoying.


The shield power is awesome. I like how if you spin around he passes it from hand to hand.
 
Why didn't you just retry the mission Pasquale? Load a save from before it XD I've done that if I got something I didn't want (like a evil karma thing when I didn't do a single evil thing so I wanted to try again for atleast unchanged).

That mission was sad btw :( I can't wait to play through evil and see how it goes... getting close to the end :D but must get all the shards! rawr! (318ish atm I think, I forget)

It didn't even occur to me. I was too busy being mad at my tv.
 
I'm wondering about that mission. Because I figure if you're evil she's not your girl anyway. So going into that mission there are 2 setups so there's really 4 outcomes. Which is frustrating because I love this game but I'm not playing through it 4 times.

But I DO want to see exactly what you got Pasquale, which is that ONE evil choice which to me isn't really evil at all. In fact I think it's more evil to do the "good" choice considering, but I don't believe in moral absolutism therefore I think the choice has to be what's moral relative to Cole.

As far as I know, the end result of either decision is the same.
 
So wait, does everyone's infamous come with an Uncharted 2 beta? Cause that makes me laugh a bit with how Osyris compares this to Crackdown (and in some ways is right :P). Cause it's another thing, this has uncharted 2 beta (a game people are waiting for big time) and Crackdown had Halo 3 beta XD
 
Preorder bonus but that's funny. Though I don't think you can compare Halo 3 beta to Uncharted 2 beta. Halo and Uncharted are both great but nobody has played Uncharted multiplayer before and the franchise isn't as big. Also I feel Infamous is a much bigger-budget game, which doesn't make it better by itself but that doesn't hurt sales.

Are you sure it was just a pre-order bonus? I didn't pre-order mine, but it came with an Uncharted 2 code.

I'm comparing that two fairly big games (on their console's respectively) had betas come with two games that weren't really (originally) thought much of :P and they are similar games in sandboxy style. But I am not saying Uncharted is near the hype as Halo

Yeah its not just pre order. I have a code and i just went in the store and picked up a copy of infamous.

Elem i just want to make sure you know when i compare it to Crackdown its not a negative. I enjoyed Crackdown alot.. It just makes me laugh that Crackdown gets so much hate from people who didnt play it when its really the stepping stone to an Infamous.
 
I don't think of it as a negative XD it just never occurred to me the similarities so much and it amuses me there are so many :P even ones not related to the game (i.e. both come with a beta for another game). But Crackdown isn't as good imo, fun at first, but I got bored after awhile. I haven't gotten bored with Infamous yet :D
