Yeah, but I believe the Shichibukai that attacked after they beat Gekko Moria said that Ace had been arrested, not that he was dying. Maybe he's being executed or something, but it seems weird that he's dying right now.
Hmmm, if Ace were to die (Though I seriously hope it will NEVER happen, not in a million years!) It could fuel the crew to advance the war against the World Government, after all they did burn down the world government flag at Enies Lobby when trying to save Robin, therefore declaring war on the entire world in the name of the grand era of pirates. This'll also probably mean that Robin will need to read the Rio Poneglyph first in order to expose the missing century.
Right now its anyone's guess.
Edit to Dayner: Well, the crew may get more members, after all Luffy wanted at least 10 before going to the Grand Line but only had half what he wanted, himself, Zoro, Nami, Ussop and Sanji. Oda may add 2 more characters to give Luffy what he originally wanted. They are already extremely powerful and Brook's 33 million belli bounty is only going to make them stronger, especially as:
1) He's dead.
2) He can walk on water due to his light bones.
3) He's a pretty decent swordsman.
Anyways, let speculations begin as to who or what is going to join next:
My speculations:
1) A Mermaid dancer (Remember that Kokoro-baasan said that mermaids split they're tails around mid-life)
2) Ace (IF he lives, which I seriously hope he does live)
