And yet you're trying to restore the integrity of the board by your own words. Where did it used to be, and what has it become?
As you may have noticed, the previous admin was not able to keep up with things that were affecting the board, both, in an editorial and technical sense.
As you also may have noticed, the board underwent some changes since I took it back over. The quality of service has definitely improved. The board doesn't lag anymore. User accounts are actually secure now. Users have far more features at their disposal than the previous version offered. And lastly, there is once again editorial control over content on this board.
Unfortunately, and while I understand that you may not realize this, you are one of the people who makes this board suck for many others. Why? Because you coat whatever good arguments you may have with inflamatory rhetoric at any opportunity you have. It is my job to point out to you that the only place it belongs is on the flameboard. If you want to post elsewhere on this board, then you will have to limit yourself to being civil in your choice of words.
In my experience only those who really do not have reality on thier side need to resort to insults when trying to argue their point. If one's statements can be backed up by facts, then there is no need for flames. Nothing hurts more than the truth.
In pretty much every lengthy post you make you write how you are oh-so much better than everyone else. You own a dynamis linkshell, whoop-diee-doo. That statment in itself couldn't be more wrong. You are the founder of a dynamis linkshell, you don't own it. Ownership would imply that you have total control over what happens, and you don't. Members can leave at any time without you being able to do anything about it.
American College of Medicine, whoop-diee-doo, and good for you. However, to anyone who's halfway reasonable real world standing (such as it may be) doesn't relate to virtual standing. You could be Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Hugh Hefner, here and in game you would still only be the person you make yourself out to be.
Which leads me to my next point. You obviously enjoy elevating yourself above everyone else, and whatever happens in your little fantasy world is really no one's business, but you need to realize that not everyone subscribes to your line of thought. Having 99,999,999,999gil items in your bazaar doesn't make you a great guy, it makes you a guy who's put a 99,999,999,999gil item in his bazaar. The amount of gil or items you accumulate says nothing about your character, your demeanor on this board says everything about your character.
The people in your dynamis LS participate because the LS as a whole gets things done. At no point in time I would doubt that. However, that doesn't mean they like you.
I don't read every single QCDN post, but I have yet to see one that says "Peregrine is a great guy.".
I think the main problem is that there are differences in perception what makes someone great. You are talking about FFXI Titans and whatever, people who drop 6M in your bazaar for some meaningless item and don't sweat it. That's fine, if those guys are your heros, then I won't argue with that.
To me the people who got very little, but who cheerfully give that up to help someone they barely know with a task at hand are the heros.
I said it elsewhere, any monkey can accumulate 999,999,999,999,999,999gil if given enough time, unfortunately for many, greatness can't be bought.
