I believe its Odin.....although it wouldnt suprise me if it was Alexander. In the end though.....I think both Odin and Alexander will be in the expansion.
 
If Odin is implented then I want his horse >>; Would make traveling so much easier xD

It should work, and if you scroll to the top, where Kamodake posted, check the 3rd picture and around the left-center, you'll see a dark and a light figure, one who looks like Odin, and another who's more light, who resembles the figure in the new trailer.

my opinion is that it's Odin... and I don't see that SE "has" to follow a "norm" on appearances.. look at the major differences in the avatars or summons between 7 and 8.. I can however see Alexandar coming into play as a motionless summon.. SE may surprise us all.

...and there I thought that Odin rode on Slepnir, the 6 legged horse, not Ixion, the lightning horse from FFX. >.>
 
Exactly my point Trippy. If they wanted people hyping the expansion over Odin, they would've included Slepnir. The fact that he's absent is pretty much telling us it isn't Odin. That and the fact that he's masked.
 
Odin has had masks in previous FFs.....he has also worn white armor many a times.

The only reason we didnt see the horse is probably cause the camera didnt pan down on the ToAU intro vid.

Or they're just being evil and want us to bicker over it. OR they want to get us running off in every which direction so no one is sure untill release, and they have to buy it to find out?
 
Watch it end up being the big horned demon portion of Crusader. Man will we all feel dumb.

Odin is mentioned in FFXI...

He has a gate named after him in the necropolis.

Where as alexander isn't mentioned at all.

I think it is more likely to be odin in the pic than alexander.

I think it's still even more likely that it isn't either of them and everyone is jumping the gun.

We'll get Bahamut and Pheonix before we get odin. Ya know, the 2 that are already part of the story line in CoP? One of which you already have to fight.

But as far as pheonix goes... doesn't the soul of Pheonix rest in Tenzens handy dandy badassed Great Katana? Yeah, we're gonna have to wrestle that thing awayfrom him. I want Reraisga III.
 
It's Knights of the Round! They only showed 1 so far though! Not really, but meh, would be funny if 1 of the missions had you fight them all :O And they didn't go low enough to show the horse if he has one, they still want us speculating until the day ToAU releases. And trippy, SE already said they'll never add bahamut as a summonable avatar.

I must have missed that one.

That's pretty shitty of them. I mean, bahamut has always been a staple summon monster. Why would you leave it out of this FF? That makes no sense.

Do you remember when/where you saw this? Can I get a link?

Basically,
There are no plans to add Bahamut as an avatar. The reason for this is because if the developers were to add Bahamut as a summonable avatar, they would have to reduce his strength considerably, and the team didn't want to do that. New avatars will, however, be added in the future.


Edit: Also, better get used to no staple summon monsters in XII, they've been replaced by the lucavi/totema of FFT/FFTA(Also a few may be bosses from past FF's) since XII takes place in Ivalice, which was the same world as FFT and FFTA, and they are actually fairly badass, each one associated with a Sign of the Zodiac, but past summons are still mentioned, the airships are Alexander/Odin/Shiva/etc. And of course the staple summons will be back in XIII(hopefully).
