Playstation 3 Glitch Found in Japan release! (No discussion about wii or gtfo)

Yeah, Squeenix and Nintendo have been talking a lot lately. The Wii definitely can't handle it. That came out as sort of a wishful thinking lol And the 360 would be able to handle FFXIII. Maybe not as well, but good enough to the point most people wouldn't notice it.

And I'll have to check out White Knight Story. I have never even heard of it.

Yea check out my edited post, it could very well be one of the spinoffs of XIII, theres FFXIII(ps3), FFXIII Versus(ps3), FFXIII Agito(cellphones(JP only prolly)), and I've heard of at least 2 more FFXIII spinoffs to fit under the Crystal Banner, one could be on Wii and other could be on 360 maybe.

Right now, the only confirmed ones are the 3 you mentioned. Spinoffs to the other systems would be a neat idea. I have a feeling they would be more portables though, that is if there were more. Where did you see info on the other 2 spinoffs? I would love to read up on it.

Lanien, I believe White Knight is by the same team that made Chronotrigger, if that's coming to 360, I'm getting a 360. I might be thinking of another game, but I'm pretty sure it's white knight.

Um..Level 5 had nothing to do with Chrono Trigger, and they've mainly been a Sony only company :P
I think you're thinking of Blue Dragon? Which has been confirmed to be a 360 exclusive a while now, and worked on by some people who worked on CT.

Anyways, heres a link to the TGS Trailer for White Knight Story:

Square made ChronoTrigger.

Hironobu Sakaguchi is doing Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey for 360.

Yuuji Horii is working on Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors

Akira Toriyama is working on both Blue Dragon and Dragon Quest Swords.

And Nobuo Uematsu is working on Blue Dragon, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Lost Odyssey, and is rumored to be doing music for FFXIII

Ok, I was apparently thinking of another game.

lol I noticed the ninja edit. I think you are thinking of either Lost Odyssey or Blue Dragon, both look amazing.

MGS has been on XboX before, even on Gamecube. After searching i can only find non confirmed roumors about MGS4 making it's it's way on the 360. Although i did find an interview of Kojima saying how the 360 is capable of running MGS4 no problem. If MGS4 does get released on the 360, it would only do so to cash in on some more chips, probably a good year after it's been on PS3, just like Sons of Liberty and the PS2 and XboX.

All this talk about don't buy a PS3 before it even hits our shelves, Ha !

-Blue Ray not a proven technology-

Blue Ray Vs. HDDVD
Blue Ray has nearly twice the storge capacity, and in fact has higher defination than an HDDVD. Does that not make HDDVD obsolete ? Not to mention the prices of the PS3 games are just dandy.
Oh But Blue Ray sucks cause no one has an HDTV.... Meanwhile PS3 has standard Av cable, and again the games on the Blue-Ray disc is suprisingly the same price ranges as the 360's games. Only reason to dislike this, is if you dislike High Quality and more space period.

If 360 even wants to try to match this, they would have to scrap the $200.oo "external" HDDVD attachment and go Blue Ray.... Which is by Sony... Which would be even more expensive... Meanwhile this technology is available for cheap on the PS3.

-GPU-

Roughly the same, 360 and PS3 can work the same games. But in all honesty, the PS3 will have the HQ version if they decide to slap it on a Blue Ray Disc.

-CPU-

PS3's CELL Chip Can Help Morph Your Face
So we all know the PS3 will be running on the 3.5Ghz CELL processor, developed jointly by IBM, Sony, and Toshiba. This new processor is supposed to bring all kinds of good mojo to the PS3, due to its ability to spread work out over as many as nine cores on a single chip. Most of us still haven't really grasped the tangible aspects of this, until now. Reader Alexqd3 sent us a link to a couple of Japanese videos that show these amazing face-morphing programs, supposedly capitalizing on CELL technology. The first video here shows a Japanese correspondent playing around with facial makeup and hair which seems fairly normal, but the second video shows actual 3D face manipulation based simply on a photograph of the correspondent's face. You'll have to check out the videos to see what I'm talking about.

If this is evidence of the CELL processor's abilities, I'm definitely looking forward to what this will mean for the PS3, as well as the kinds of games that will be developed to take advantage of it.

The difference, PS3's Cell processor is indeed a Super computer by todays standards. It is not ordinary. It's just plain wrong. We're not looking at pasting a digital snapshot as a texture on a model oh no, this shit is way off the chain. Talk about meeting people online, or being the main character in game.

Sony is paying out of their asses for the prouduction of this chip and i have read 1/5 pass the testing, as these chips are not easy to make in short time. If Sony was a car company, they would sell it MacLarens for the price of a civic. The Cell processor is neutral at 20% Capability in the PS3, and still it's doing some different shit.

-Console War-

It's good to a point, it gets the developers and the console providers on their feet, which makes todays games as they are. It's honestly not the best idea to tell people what to buy, Especially if you are a Fan of this Wii60 bullshit. The Truth in the matter is.... Nintendo is doing some different shit, and Sony is doing some different shit. 360 as lovely a system it is, is not doing different shit, personally i'll be picking up a 360 only cause that's me. I'm an animator, Video games and comic books and movies is research to me. I love all things pixalated. But damn, if you can't see that Microsoft is wanting to huddle next to the Wii to feel safe, then atleast know that Microsoft can't talk to Sony.

-Here is what's gonna happen-

Sony will play the same games as the 360. It will be known that the PS3 will offer these games in the highest resolutions available for the same price. Then game developers will want to tap into the PS3 and do some awsome stuff they only dreamed of doing, but could not before, due to limitations in space and software hardware etc... Also it has been reported that making games for the PS3 is very easy to do. Just difficult to reverse the process for other consols, But hey, i'm sure Developers save their work.

Then killer games will arise that will make us all giddy. And even convert anti Sony consumers, into Sony Consumers, again. Even pick up some noobs along the way.

Nintendo was very smart to go the direction they went in. Nintendo knows who Sony is. Nintendo actually created PlayStation by asking Sony to create a CD Rom for the SNES, then pulled out of the deal.

Now. IBM is cold Bussiness, They are profiting from Sony and Nintendo.. Atleast IBM was kind enough to tell Nintendo "Hey i'm teaming up with Toshiba and Sony to make something frightening, so let's keep it simple ok. But we can still make money, so what to do ?"
Remember, when you, i, and Nintendo say Wii, IBM says Mii. As nasty as it sound. The Wii is a beautiful system and it will hold things down for a long time.

Anyone who wishes to see Sony fail is a person who is so much in favour, they become such a fan, they will take part in console war themselves, which is bad for the advancement of technology in this case. By the looks of the 360, the PS3 is ahead of it's time. You just don't offer a PS3 to bunch caveman, they'll destroy it forever, then there is the legend of an advanced system that floped because too many could not reconize what the device is and what it's doing. How so very shameful that would be for us humans in this day and age.

This upcoming generation is here now. It never felt so with just the 360 alone. All 3 systems will bring home a many splenderid experience and very intelligent games. Without the rivalry it just won't be the same, but when the consumer is programed to dislike a system before they even know what it can do, it real ugly. Price is no excuse, and the PS3 is cheap. Sure it cost more than a 360, but what is $100 more for a freakin super computer that would smoke a $6,000.oo Duel Xeon beefed up PC.

That is all fine and dandy Ant, but they still can't get it to work 100% lol I am all for Sony, as well as I am all for the other 2 systems. I plan on having them all. I waited for the 360 and I will wait on the PS3 for all kinks to be worked out. The Wii has no new technology, so I am getting a launch system.

No system runs 100%. if it did it would lock up and freeze, after it slows down and chokes. That is 100%

The 8 cells in the processor is clocked at near 2 trillion calculations per second. That is unheard of, and "STILL" at 20% performance that is better than everything else out there although to that reach that near 2 trillion took 6 seconds.

And if they are still imporving the performance VIA update (which sometimes is included on game discs) that percentage with rise and the PS3 will just become more freaky.

Heh, forgot to mention that part.

If the first reason I am not getting a PS3 yet is that I don't want a broken system, then the 2nd reason is that there won't be any great games yet. Resistance looks pretty good, but besides that, there isn't really anything that great yet.

Ele mentioned Assassin's Creed, which is 360 also. MGS4 is rumored to be 360, FFXIII is rumored 360 and Wii, though I don't know if the Wii can handle it. GTA4 is already confirmed to be on 360. And WTF is White Knight? lol Do you mean Heavenly Sword?

I doubt MSG 4 will be on 360 for awhile, a long while, and I highly doubt that FFXIII will be on 360 either. I know assassin's creed will be on 360, it's just one game that I want and there are things that interest me about the 360 and things that interest me about the Wii and things that interest me about the PS3. Right now from what I can tell, within the next few months the games I'll want to play most will be on the PS3, I can play my PS2 and PS1 games on the PS3, and I can use my PSP with the PS3. So for me, it seems I'd get the most out of a PS3. But, I'm not saying it is surely that I'll get the most out of the PS3 as I don't know yet, I'd rather wait for awhile before deciding :P and White Knight is the translation of the game

http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?fs=1&id=3241 - white knight

heavenly sword is something different though something I'd prolly enjoy renting to play for a bit (though nothing I see myself playing over and over again). Ninja Gaiden is coming for PS3 too.. something I'd prolly be interested in playing at least as a rental :P (And I know it's on the X-Box, I played it on my friend's Xbox when it worked XD).

Resistance: Fall of Man seems like it's a really fun game I'd enjoy playing tons. And, I can't remember the name, but it looked like tons of fun (though I think also for the 360 too) Far Cry? Was it.. or was that just mentioned when they talked about the game.. I forget.. but it looks really fun. And I am aslo assuming something, that the great Nippon Ichi Software company will be making more Disgaea-esque games for the PS3 :P such is my reasoning for the PS3. Games I know are coming (sure might be on 360, 2 or 3 of them and the others a maybe coming to 360, though not announced yet, just like the word that Halo 3 may be on the PS3.. it's only rumor) and games I know I can play that I already own, games from companies that have worked tons with sony's systems, and a system that will work with my handheld is nice, a system with the strengths it has, etc.. that is my reasoning for leaning toward the PS3 right now. But I will not set myself to it yet, I want to try the Wii first, I want to play more of the 360 (what I have so far really has impressed me, which is why the 360 is interesting me too), and I want to play the PS3 as well before I choose exactly (as well as see more titles coming, I have patience as well as other responsibilities and other methods of entertainment.. I don't NEED the games right away at the release like so many are seemingly claiming they do).

Edit: and yes, that cell processor, as I am one who is truly in love with technology and reading about it, learning about it (though I get lazy at times XD) and using it.. is something drawing me also to the PS3.. if I could without worry of screwing it up I'd take the PS3 apart just to see its insides and learn. I often do that with old electronics, it interests me :P

I usually just buy a system for games so system with the most games I would wanna play sure, but the fact PS3 is seeming to offer fun games and more.. well that seems nice (same with the PSP thing, it has games I enjoy, as well as hackability to play games I enjoy :P with a nice dash of music, movie, and picture capabilities and internet too.. I <3 multitools)

Halo will never be on PS3. Never. You can quote me on that lol

I never said it was, I said that was the RUMOR, just like it's a RUMOR that MGS4 and FFXIII will be on 360 :P there's been nothing saying those games will be officially.. that's what I was pointing out, that you brought a rumor, I pointed it was only a rumor, gave another example of a rumor :P but it would be dumb.. they should prolly release Halo 3 on the PS3 but only a year or so after it has been out on X-Box 360. It would bring in more money, which is what MGS 2 did, released on PS2, when everyone (pretty much) who was gonna buy the PS2 version, they released it for X-Box and more bought it who didn't have a PS2 prolly and wanted to play it. It just seems.. logical.

wishful thinking but not going to happen. Halo is the equivalent to Mario, it's not going to end up on another system.
