The 5th generation to hit the DS in Japan by the end of this year supposedly.

Apparently Pokemon will be revolutionized. Just look at the pics at the side of the screen. Reminds me a little bit of Yu-gi-oh.

I still haven't gotten my paws on gold/silver remakes let alone this coming sooner then later.

There's way to many video games coming out that I can't keep up with.

I'm a sucker for pokemon games. Really looking forward to this, will probably import the American version so I don't have to listen to Justin having so much fun on it a month before we get it >_>

I'm having trouble caring about any of the starter Pokemon, which pretty much kills it for me. They haven't had a good fire starter since Cyndaquil.

The grass starter looks fucking awesome. So smug and arrogant. The others look like shit but I really like the combo of fire/dark. But I may go grass for the first time ever just for the looks. Waiting to see the evolutions now.

Yeah, the Grass starter does look awesome... though it reminds me of someone...

Blue/Red or GTFO. Need to remake the original with just the 151 pokemon on 360/PS3 the plays like an RPG/Pokemon Stadium with HD fuckin graphics. Thatd be the shit.

In all seriousness though, he is Excalibur, The Holy Sword. At least what he looks like in Soul Eater. Still though, the new grass starter Pokemon looks ALOT like him, seriously, do a side by side comparison of them and it wouldn't be silly to think of these two sitting in Paris together sipping Coffee while calling people fools.

This would be amazing. I'd buy it in a heart beat. All them childhood memories but in HD!

I actually really like the starter Pokemon this time around. I wasn't a huge fan of the Ruby/Sapphire ones at all. The Diamond/Pearl ones wasn't that amazing in my opinion either but I didn't mind them. I really like the ones they made this time though, I hope they look cool when they evolve.

Man, I just don't know about those new legendaries.
Even Kyogre and Groudon weren't purely red and blue.
 
I like the black one a lot. Gonna pass on white this time.

Call that a while back. Someone was like "NUH UH JAPAN IS GETTING IT IN SEPTEMBER!" And I'm like "yeah... so we won't get it til like April or May. March if we are lucky."

And I agree, not a fan of the starters except for the Grass one.
 
I haven't been a Pokemon fan since Red/Blue and Pokemon Snap. Man, Snap was fun and original. Who knew taking fake pictures could be so fun.

But I have to say I like the look of Black/White. I might actually pick up a Pokemon game for the first time in 12-13 years.
 
Red/blue remakes with just the original 150 would be crap, the only thing they'd have going for them would be nostalgia. Take that away and they'd look like shit compared to just about any other modern RPG.

The handheld games' formula really doesn't hold up well for a console format. Notably, they're too short and generally simplistic.
 
I'm wondering if the National Championships are going to start using 3 on 3 battles now, or if they'll open special matches for that.

On the note of the starters though - come on. If you really sit back and take a look at charmander, god he looks so stupid. All of the starter pokemon look dumb until you really get attached to them. I can't stand that a new series comes out with new features and new graphics and new moves and all people can say is "oh those starter pokemon are dumb".
