We would like to report the termination today of multiple accounts held by players involved in the usage of third-party tools or cheats, or engaged in RMT (Real Money Trading) activities.

Based on the results of our investigation, over 4000 PlayOnline accounts were terminated while over 1000 accounts were temporarily suspended.
Details of the violations are as follows:

- Usage of tools that allow enhanced character movement.
Approx. 750 cases

- Usage of tools that circumvent game mechanics with respect to the timing of ability use, etc. in certain areas or at points where Notorious Monsters appear.
Approx. 1900 cases

-Using cheats to automatically repeat a particular action.
Approx. 650 cases

- Accounts from people that were previously confirmed to have RMT connections, or that have violated the user agreements but re-subscribed to PlayOnline.
Approx. 1450 cases

- RMT-related activity
Approx. 250 cases

The termination of these accounts has led to the removal of approximately 50 billion gil from circulation.

In addition to our actions against third-party tools and RMT-related offenses, we have implemented measures to counteract the recent occurrence of automated fishing. Our vigilant GMs, along with programming changes made by the development team, will continue to uphold the policy of fair play within the world of FINAL FANTASY XI.

We would like to remind players that as well as adversely affecting game balance, the use of third-party tools or cheats can also have consequences that are not immediately obvious, such as introducing damaging viruses, and comprising the security of private account details. Usage of third-party tools will not be tolerated within FINAL FANTASY XI, and we will continue to severely penalize any players found to be in violation of the PlayOnline Member Agreement.

As we continue to ensure a fun and balanced environment for FINAL FANTASY XI, we hope that our players enjoy the game as it was intended and take care to avoid involvement in activities that violate the PlayOnline Member Agreement.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding.

So who was this months casualty?

Atleast they stopped saying that using third party tools promotes RMT. What an awful link that was to draw.

Qufim Bots are still around though.

50 billion gil

Holy shit that's a lot of gil taken out of an already deflating economy. It only comes down to a couple billion per server but that's still a lot.

.....

guys when you log do

/sea all equine

/sea "Qufim Island"

seriously fucking SE.

dayner beats everyone again

... /em waves goodbye to another 50 mil.

Couldn't they atleast hand out a bit of the money to the people on the server? <.<;

I assume theses numbers are server wide, so when you divide them by 32 its not really that much.

1,562,500,000 per server is quite a lot of gil. Even if there's 10,000 people per server, that's 156k per person. I don't see that as an impossibility to give out <.<;

Not million Uzor.

Everytime i see this, I always think i get banned, cause i use windower

50 billion D= that tis alot. Would it be possible to maybe like, increase gil drops off mobs? Or would that throw something off.

And plat ingot prices continue to plummett ;-;

Oh well, it's a downside I'm willing to take so long as gilsellers continue to get banned.

I'd say put a bounty on gilseller's heads. If you report info that leands to a banning, you get gil.

One problem with that, The GM's would be waaaaay to flooded with calls about the same RMT then, People are gil crazy, and will most likely spam the call system for it.

You can rest at ease, they won't ban you unless you blab about it all the time in-game.

On another note, the topic of "windower will not get you banned unless you're retarded and talk about it in-game" has been done to death; why the hell to people need to question it every time actual hackers and RMT get banned? It's not even in the list of things they're banning people for, so why are people so scared of it every time there's a mass banning? Anyone who says they got banned for windower lied to you, get over it and go surf the internet while you play.

I should really applaud PS2 and Xbox 360 players. They have been holding their own against PC players and their "advantages" for so long...

It's not fair. But, wth...

Then you'd have RMT training Delkfutt and Qufim gigas, gankin' exp mobs. Those things drop like 150g per already with Gilfinder.

So now we know what the maintainance was. It was SE installing the Cock of Doom. Anyone who cheats gets a nice deep one in thier butts.

Hurrray Cock of Doom!

I know. 50.000.000.000 overall makes it 1.562.500.000 per server

million = 6 zeroes
billion = 9 zeroes

1,562,500,000 = 9 zeroes (technically 5 zeroes 2 5's 1 6 and 1 2, but w/e). Thus, we have a billion. not a million.
