POL NEWS : Accounts 4000 Banned (Feb. 21)

"Not realy. but if we identify some other activity in breach of terms of service, you're account is most likely going to be banned."

(That's copying how I see it, only thing I think I mighta missed was the other L in really.)

When I go to a website ran and maintained by a professional corporation (POL) I expect, that even with a live representative I won't be thrown poor elementary English mistakes, regardless of their multicultuaral/multilingual face.

Okay, that was my nerd moment for the day.

<33

See you back soon Blab. ^-^

Sorry but that's stupid. You basically reduce anything you've accomplished in this game to less than meaningless. I'd be more impressed with a new player that managed to discover the fight button than a cheater that's taken down HNMs. Go play something easier if you can't handle playing the game without cheats.

As hard as it is once its gone it pretty easy to get over the meaning of virtual stuff. You just feel dumb when you get banned/even when you quit. about the 100+ days of playtime the majority of us have spent playing a game when you missed out on RL which isin't that much funner

Oh, you cheater you blabj. What's the meaning of POS hacking? lol, you never fought HNM's or anything, did you? xD

I copy/paste a shitload... whats wrong with that? SE can detect when you paste multi-lined stuff?

And yes, they can detect multi-lines paste. But only if they actually look through your chat logs.

Yeah but pos helped greatly for just random misc stuff, like how I managed to do all my RDM Coffers in 9 minutes, getting to ENMs on my own easily (solo'd fire in the sky a few times)

But meh, I've had my fun now, I'd rather keep my account and play legitimately (not counting the windower & windower macros ;) )

see, from an outsider its less than meaningless. To the hacker, achieving something with or without hacks feels exactly the same, No less exciting or gratifying either way its done. People can call it meaningless, throw insults out about it or whatever, but words on a forum about a game dont hurt and i was just as happy about anything i did with hacks as i was when i did without. There was no difference to me.

yep, i realized how much time i wasted on a dumb virtual game as well. im just glad i didnt take it so serious like most people ^^

Windower

This is a question for blabj or anyone else recently suspended for 72hrs, will you continue to use windower, do you think they would give you a permenate ban for only using windower after being suspended? Is it worth the risk?

Geez... why the fuck are you all hacking? It's not worth it!

i agree.. ;(

no difference to you, but just makes you look like anything you got wasnt really earned.. so basically just makes you look like a schmuck who had to cheat their way to do anything worthwhile.

who cares what i look like lol, i played to game for my enjoyment, not others. i had a blast and thats how I will always see it! And those who knew i hacked in my shell and out didnt seem to think that when i played, maybe it was because they wanted to use me to get them something, but who knows.

i cant take any hacker attack here seriously when most are hypocrites who use windower and will claim up and down its not a cheat or wrong because they do it and more people openly do it. When the company who makes the game says it is, lol's on the house there. and when thats presented its always "Screw SE that feature should already be in the game! so im just doin it for em!"
well, i should be able to run faster than that, thats way too slow.

And that's what makes you selfish.

Oh boy, here comes the "Windower is a cheat, so you are all hypocrites" again.
It's a good point though, SE's addressed windower as a major problem, and has been banning people by the thousands monthl--... wait, what? Oh. Nevermind.

Repeat after me. They cannot detect windower. They cannot detect windower. They cannot detect windower.

If you dont talk about it, they dont know.

Also, I am at this time officialy calling for Blabj to be removed as a moderator of QCDN. Its cool that you're honest, but having an admitted hacker being represented as a person of high status isnt what we want.

I don't have to take this game seriously to have a basic understanding that cheating (at anything) makes of your accomplishments meaningless and it taints everything that you do. It's called having principles. It may mean little to you, but it says a lot about you to many of us.

As to the second part of your comment, many people talk about how they've wasted so much time on this game. To be perfectly honest, what would you be doing instead? Personally I can only be productive so many hours in a day. My job requires a lot of concentration and effort, so after work I play ffxi. What would I be doing otherwise? Watching tv? Reading a fictional novel? Most things that are relaxing are by nature not productive. I don't feel that it's necessary to be productive every second that I'm awake.

Jesus does everyone hack? I feel like I'm not part of the cool club if I don't cheat...

Agreed. GTFO.

72 hours is bullshit.

I agree also.

In addition, why hasn't Chasym been banned? Most of his posts anymore are "yay hacks" (Detrimental to the common interest of this site, the game we play) and "god this game is dumb, I was dumb for playing it, and you pretty much are too", insulting many people for, again, the intended common interest of this site. Why exactly is that allowed?

While I dont like hackers posting as much, it isnt as bad, because alot of people really do hack in different degrees. But, none of them should be moderators.

Since when does being an admin/moderator represent a person with high status?

What status?

What's considered "high status"?

what do you mean by "high status"?

Reeves doesn't play the game, but he's the admin. Alyada doesn't play anymore, but he's an moderator.

The way I see it, admin/moderator is simply someone who can judge fairly on a forum, cleans it up, and keeps things in order. What he prefer to do outside the forums have nothing to do with what he do on the forum as long as he does his job good. And in all hoensty, how does hacking in-game affect his judgement and ability to keep the forum clean?

Its status in the sense that you should respect them. Ever notice that calling mods out is generaly frowned apon when they have't done anything wrong? They're charged with both keeping order, but also upholding the ideals of the board as a whole. They need to hold themselves to a higher standard than regular members, much in the same way that police or politicians do.

you're supposed to respect the mods?

wow, I must be behind...

As for the upholding of ideal. What ideal? A lot of people in the game hates qcdn because there's so much drama going on. So what ideal is it? Last I checked, the most popular topics are those about screwed over HNM shells, hacking HNM shells, botting HNM shells, individual that does the above etc. So that seem to be the ideal of the board, no?

So wouldn't Blabj, by your standards, be the perfect moderator?

As for the calling out people. Its generally frowned uppon to call out anyone when they're innocent. Admins and moderators just happen to be in the crossfire more. If I'd randomly go call out someone for hacking that a lot of people know about, and that don't hack, I can guarantee that I'd be frowned upon.
